Good Morning Ladies!

How are you all doing on this monday morning?

I am going today to run around with my mom and return/exchange some gifts from Joey's Christening and then I have to come home and get ready for the wake for DH's aunt. :( My mom is going to keep Joey and watch him for us during the wake so we will pick him up on the way home. We have to, however, bring him to the funeral tomorrow.

So I did day 1 of the rotation last night but I didn't finish. I have the 2nd round of biceps to do today at some point.

Is everyone looking forward to starting the rotation today? How many people do we have?? Jane, Kali, Becky, Kim and Terri, right? Anyone else?

Yes I'm looking forward to the rotation, but so much for me waking up early to do so. But I will do it tonight for sure. I send good vibes to you and the family.

Hi Girls,

It felt good to sleep in a little bit today.You know you get up to early when you call 7:30 sleeping in:eek:
I have a feeling the girl I run with is going to blow in here anytime soon and I am up for a run today.Although it is suppose to be kickboxing day L&G and walking lunges.Then I also have errands to do today.Some bills that I can't pay over the internet.
I am still trying to decide on the hair iron.What should I do? Its a really nice one but its expensive...BUT I did sell my sneakers so its $100 that I never did have:) And I also know that I am not going to use it very often but I do need to have one on hand.My hair is getting so long its nuts! I like it but when it is straight it will be to long and I bet the ends need a good trimming.
I fell asleep last night on the couch.I was so tired.I got a good 9 hours last night but I still look like I just woke up.

Hey KIMMY!!!!! Don't you dare put anything bad in your mouth! I got one for ya.Who ever eats anything bad in the mext month as tto buy the other one a dvd that they want! Its your choice...DVD or THONGS??:7 :7

Wendy-What happened to your FIL after? AS he returned?

Lori~My FIL was docking the morning that his sister passed so he went right down to the ship's desk and explained to them that he needed to get home and he was home that afternoon!!! He said the crew on the ship were WONDERFUL! They made all of the arrangements for him...he just had to be there! Sad that he had to cut his vacation short like that...he had just left on thursday and he was home again on saturday. He left his girlfriend there to enjoy with the 2 or 3 other couples they were with. He told her both of thier vacations did not need to be cut short...so it worked out okay I guess!

Well, I'm off to get a shower!

Wendy- How comes things always happen like that? I know a death is untimely and no one ever wants it to happen but half of the time its seems to happen at the worst times.When people are away and can't get back or you can't reach them.And yet you can't stay home when you know someone is sick, some people have 9 lives! I had a friend who was dying from cancer when I was in grade 10 (young hey?)and she died when I went away for my sisters graduation from nursing school.I knew she was on her way out but she could have laid there for a month.But when things like this happen the person who as to come back never looks at there vacation being cut short...they want nothing more then to be home with their family.
BY the way, I am from Canada...I didn't know we had crusies! hahahaha:) How stupid am I?

Good Morning and Happy First day of the new rotation to all of those who are doing it this month!!!

I just completed GS back/biceps and shoulders. YIKES! I NEED this upper body rotation!!!:p
Am looking forward to having so many of us doing it together!! It's very helpful to have the support and be able to give it too!!

Yesterday I did the stretching and also walked on a fitness trail at a park. I was so PROUD of dh, who walked with me even though it was hot and we had just had chinese food for lunch and we were both pretty full. But we were close to that park which is on the other side of town, so we decided to do it anyway. Great walk and I was glad we did!:) I LOVE hiking and walking on trails and walking paths. It was very hilly and challenging.

Are any of you going to add some cardio to the rotation??
I think I might ride my bike or get a walk in today.....and on some other days that are strictly weight work.

Lori--LOL you didn't know cruises went to Cananada from the US?

Becky--I will be adding cardio to this rotation for sure!...Probably 20-30 minutes on every weights only day so long as I have the time.

Wendy, I am so sorry to hear about DHs aunt. I am sending big hugs to you and your husband's family.

Lori, get the iron!!!! If I had the funds, I would! Those really expensive ones are TERRIFIC and well worth the money, you will not regret it! As soon as DH gets his 50" big screen, that is going to be my big purchase.

Becky, I am definitely adding cardio to mine. No more than two weight days of 20-30 minutes, though. I just finished a 2.5 mile run just to give my metabolism a jump start early this morning.

Today is picture day for the kids, so I have to go and make them look like the little angels I know that they can be! :+ Yeah, right!

Oh, and I do not have the Gym Styles, so I was just going to wing it here at home using the online DVD description as a guide. I was wondering if any of you with more time on your hands could tell me how many reps she does of each excercise and what counts she uses. I know it is a lot to ask, but anything you can give me will help! TIA :)
 
Good Morning Beautiful Women,

I am not fully awake yet even though I got up at 6am. I am just doing my own rotation of heavy, heavy, heavy and more heavy lifting. That is going to be my focus. Forget running. Thought and considered it, but I don't want to lose any mass. I am not going to lift heavy to have it go bye-bye's from cardio! Too much hard work for that. Strange, though I am bulking up, my weight hasn't changed much. Think it is 116, but jumps from 115-117. Eating lots of protein, but not enough cals in general. Maybe I should just join eating contests everyday??? LOL! It is just hard to eat sooooo much every single day. Days I don't feel like it so then my weight goes back down.

Did bicep and tricep work yesterday. 60# for curls off preacher bench 25 times then 25# bar 4 sets of 15 standing. Back on preacher bench with 25# db's, 8 times for each arm. Typical tricep work followed after that. Drank a protein shake and immediately took a nap. Wore the crap out of me. My legs shake when I am curling a heavy amount and my voice is all trembly when I speak...takes my breath away.

Today working shoulders (4 different angles and 3 sets of 15 with 10#..may go lighter with 8#, if needed). Then I will work abs today.

Wendy- NO! I never thought about it ! :) If I were gonna go on a cruise, I guess I wouldn't do my own country, but it would be nice to go to the States.I haven't been there yet but of course lots of offers with all the American pilots I meet.Two invites yesterday actually! They would get the fright of their lives if I said "o.k" and grabbed my bags! They would be like..."ah, we were just joking":) :)

Becky-Good job on the walk.I always feel better if Iwalk after a big meal but it doesn't happen very often.Instead, I sit around and listen to people talk!

Missy- Good morning! How was your weekend? If I get time later, I will break down the workout for you.Would be my pleasure:) I am still not decided about the iron.I will see how the day progress's.I know that if I buy it today I will want to try it today and I don't really have time.:eek: And you never know...I might see a pair of shoes at the mall, when I take a detour to pay bills:p

No call yet. I think she is mad at me.I can't keep up with high maintance friends.We have differnet schedules and I have had a lot of family home this summer.She probably gave up on me:-( I will be the big girl and call her:)

Hey Charlotte- We were posting at the same time.Good job with the heavy lifting.Im gonna stick to my own rotation to although this is rather tempting, especially with everyone else doing it.
Your metobolism must be on high gear or somthing.Sometimes I will weigh more even though I didn't do anything and was an o.k girl.Not outstanding but certainly not bad enough to gain weight.I think I am soon gonna throw out the digital scale and buy a normal one.One that tell you your right weight.

My, My...where is everyone? Kim did I scare you away?:) We are a quiet bunch today.

I just finished my workout and it was a good one.I called the girl I run with but the line was busy so I kept trying until 10:30.That was enough, I had to get my workout done b/c I have things to do after lunch. I did KM (aren't you proud of me?) I have been trying to do Kickboxing lately b/c I know it is great for the whole body actually.So I did it in the living room with the music on blast.I know one thing,Cathe knows how to pick some great tunes.After that I did L&G and that was another awesome workout! My legs are cooked and I didn't even get the walking lunges in yet.Oh and I also did I seg of CM, way before I worked out.
Must get in the shower and start my day! Have a good one everybody.

I'm waiting for the UPS guy to come w/ my GymStyles. So this morning I did Hips&Thighs of Steel 2000.It's pretty lame but I kicked it up a notch. I didn't work out all weekend but I didn't eat much either. So I did that and 10 min. of abs. I will do the rotation w/o later when my DVD's get here. I had a rotten weekend, but everything is ok now.

I'm adding cardio to mine too Becky. Lots of it. And legs. Missy I'll get you that info on reps soon as they get here.
Hope the kids' pictures come out great! You'll have to post some pics for us!

Oh I got the job at Bed Bath and Beyond! I train Thursday and Saturday this week. I'm really excited about it. I'm bummed because I can't meet Wendy this weekend, but we will reschedule ASAP.
Hope your family is doing ok. They will be.

I added cardio today and rode my bike for 40 minutes.

I've been doing cleaning max all morning and still have more to do.

How does the house get so trashed on the weekends??;(

I am looking right at my floors and wondering how did they get so dirty so fast? I am not cleaning though until tomorrow. Monday's I just mostly do laundry and organize.

My bulldog just sits here barking at me as if I should be spending my entire day just petting her. Gosh, she is so spoiled. Do you know that when I do any kind of workout on the floor, she just drops her big drooly head onto mine and I can't breathe when doing sit ups, etc. It is so funny though and a bit strange at the same time. LOL

Well I got to eat AGAIN and get ready to workout.

Missy I will send you the reps after I pick the boys up from school. I tried counting as I was doing them but couldn't concentrate so I will sit down and figure it out for you soon as I get back. :)

I am now 150lbs. and only 20 lbs. above my New Year's goal! :7:7 !!!
I didn't measure so I will do that tomorrow. That rotation has really shaped up my mid and lower half. I cannot believe it. This rotation will be great for all of us too.
I'm just adding more cardio and legs to it if time will allow anyway.

I am putting wallborder up in the livingroom today. I am not sure of it though. Maybe I need to get use to it. Just looks different when you put it up then when it is in store. It has sunflowers, american flag, birdhouses and bobbin candles.

Hey everybody... I'm doing okay... I have hit a little bump in the road with my RA. I woke up this morning and my wrists and elbows were red and swollen more than usual. I couldn't extend my right arm out all the way due to the pain and swelling in the right elbow. I promptly took 10 mg. of prednisone along with my regular meds and have a call into my doctor to see if he wants me to start out at a higher dose of the prednisone. I'll have to do a prednisone taper which just means I will slowly decrease my prednisone over a week to ten days depending on how I do. Yes I was pretty depressed this morning but I'm better. I have dealt with this too many times to count over the last six years and I've gotten better every time so this time will be no different.

Kali - Wonderful news on your weight loss, it just feels so good doesn't it?!!!:)

I have an appointment to go to and will be back later this afternoon. I am going to try GS BSS later so I won't get behind on the rotation. I can extend my elbow out now, it just hurts. I will probably be ridiculously light on my weights though.

I hope everybody's day is going well.
