Hi all.

Sick as a dawg here still...BLECH! Calling the doc today....

Had to get up early before DH left for work in order to double-team DS to get eye drops in his eyes. Poor guy...he HATES it...I felt sooo bad for him. ;(

Wake up sleepy heads!:p

Wendy,

I thought you were calling the dr. yesterday~!

Do it today , because it sounds like you may have strep throat or something else that requires antibiotics and the sooner you start them, the sooner you'll feel better!!! (sorry, once a mom always a mom)
;-)

Let us know what the doc says.

Sorry you are feeling so sick, hope you feel better SOON!!!!!!!

Hi Becky...you made me smile. :) I was gonna call yesterday until I decided to bring Joey instead. Today I am calling for sure!!!!

Good Morning Girls!!!

Today I am going to take my children to the dentist. Long trip into Northern Virginia and back. Got to take my new bikini swimsuit with me as the STUPID cashier forgot to take off the ink tab thingies. Now I got to use up extra gas just because someone can't do their job right!!!! I still have to finish cleaning today. I am going to be working part time starting Monday so I have to still figure out who is going to help me to do what. I told hubby I am not doing a garden this year if I am to work. He still wants to do one though so he will have to tend to it. My workouts are coming first and I will get them in now in the morning before I leave or I know I won't get them in. So I have to learn to lift heavy in the am...like it or not! Today I am not sure what I am doing...got to check my rotation.

You lovely ladies have a great day! Don't hurt yourselves working out!!!!

Wendy,

Yes, go to the doctor. Hope you and Joey start feeling better soon!!!!!!

Charlotte~~

Hey Wendy,

Go to the darn dr!! You need to get yourself well! Seriously I hope you and your son get to feeling better. You may need some antibiotics, and they fix you up quick!

Hey Kim!

Thanks! :)
Joey is on meds as of last night so he should be good as new in a couple of days. I will be calling my doc when they open up in about an hour...hopefully they can fit me in today w/o having to make me sit in the office FOREVER!x(

I read in daily check in that you are visitng your doc for your foot? You have hopes of wearing sneakers again? :+

Yeah Wendy, they may start me walking in my sneakers which will be a challenge at first. I am doing stretches and I have about 75% of my flexiblity in my foot back. Girl I hope I can start some kind of exercising by mid May. I am going to the beach on July the 4th and I wouldn't be caught dead in a bathing suit!

Hello!!!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I was busy.....Tyler hurt his knee and was limping around so we went to ER. Found nothing wrong and by the time we left, we was walking much better. He has his first baseball practice last night. Watching a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds playing baseball is quite comical!!

I probably won't be around much since dh is home for the next 5 days. He has dr appt today and tomorrow I get my wisdom teeth pulled. Fun, Fun....So I will miss you guys!!!

Wendy, careful of antibiotics. Make sure to give yourself and Joey probiotics with the antibiotics. I will not take antibiotic unless it is totally needed. I have been hearing/reading some awful stuff about that med. It seems like dr give it out so readily. They say "just in case". Hope you get to feeling better!!

Hi all;

Well I find I'm getting myself in a rut with my workouts... I'm usually working out at around 9-10ish in the mornings but I am having a big problem with my hubby wanting to spend 'quality' time alone together - kids at school , hubby works evenings. I like to workout with no distractions and he is slowly becoming one to the point that I'm delaying my workouts until after dinnertime which I don't like.

I am really going to do my best to train my body to wake up at around 4 am just so I can get my workouts in without the distractions that I am facing.

Any suggestions ?

I am going to get up 15 minutes before my usual time until I'm up at 4am so I can have 'my' time.

I really hate doing this but until my husband goes back to day shift which may be a long time as he is the assistant flight chief in his squadron I don't know what else to do to take back my time. The day guy is retiring later this year but until he goes hubby works evenings :( and is interfering with my workout time as he wants to watch tv in the living room ( where I workout) and wants me to sit and talk with him then we go out for some really good walks but I feel I'm not getting the right amount of cardio with it like KPC would do for example.

Sorry this is a rather long post but I'm in a quandry and I see only early am workouts would do for me so any tips for those pre sunrise workouts?

BTW I wanted to add that he works out afterwork at around midnight at the base gym.

Good morning ladies!

Wendy - I'm sorry you're still feeling awful. I hope the doc can help you! Let us know what they say.

Sara - I'm glad your son didn't do anything awful to his knee.

Charlotte - where will you be working? Are you excited? I'm so happy to have you joining me in the heavy lifting in the morning. I'm always so envious of all of you who get to workout throughout the day - especially when you do some in the morning and some more later in the day and some more after that. I don't think my boss would appreciate me working out at work throughout the day. :p

Vilma - If I don't do my workout in the morning before work, it won't get done. I know that about myself, so I force myself to get up and do it. There was a thread about morning workouts not too long ago. A lot of people said that you get used to it. Not me! I still would rather sleep in than get up and work out. And I'm always tired in the morning, so that doesn't help (I don't think I sleep well). If early mornings are your only solution to getting your workouts done, then you'll make yourself do it. This morning I did Power Hour and I feel so good that I got it done. I also try to think of how I will feel all day if I DON'T get my workout in. That also helps get me out of bed. And I'm not even a big sleeper inner (wide awake at 6 on the weekends!), but I always want that extra half hour during the week. :)

Jeanette - if you are checking on us today, you might have some helpful tips since you get up at some crazy, crazy hour in order to get your workouts in!!!

Hello! I have only one second because today is as crazy as yesterday was, but Lori wanted to tell y'all "HI!" and for some reason she can't get onto the site, not sure why. I will talk to you lovely ladies later! :*

Missy

Just wanted to shout out a general hello for now...DH is picking up prescriptions at pharmacy for me soon so by the morning I should officially be on the mend. YEAY!:) My dear DS is already on his way!:)

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!
I have to try to get caught up on a bit of housework now...been letting it fall by the wayside these past few days...

Later Chicas!:*

LOL Susan! You can bet your bottom that I'll be sweatin' up a storm as soon as I get better!}(

I will probably lay off the gym longer than the work outs in general...for DS' sake...to make sure he's at 100% before I plunk him back in the daycare. Ofcourse, I can always ask DH to watch him a couple of times in the meantime and go burn some calories on the treadmill or the spin bike next week!}(

My eating has been AWFUL since I got sick. When I don't feel well, I want comfort and find that in food so I often reach for all of the "bad" stuff. It also doesn't help that I didn't have many healthy choices in the house to begin with and was in no shape to want to be food shopping either!:-( I'm not weighing or measuring for atleast a week after I start working out again...I don't even wanna know! LOL

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Im here and Im not sure how I did it!!!:) :)

I just skimmed through the post but i will read more later.I am at work and ya know how crazy my job is;-)
I went for a run today by myself. My running partner is on her way to Eurpoe.I wanted to run outside though b/c it was a beautiful day and I was hoping to get a little color to my face and I think it worked.

Be back later,
Lori:)

Hey Lori!

Haven't had much time either today. Just finished a 13 mile bike ride with son and did a set of bbm's with weights. My legs are fried some, but not like they have been. I am gonna have to start calling you "Forrest" cuz you run so much! Ever see Forrest Gump?

Susan dear,

I am not ignoring you. Always seem to be bad timing with our post. My job starts on Monday 10-4pm. I will be renting out canoes, kayaks, tubes to customers, etc. I think I will like working there, but really have no idea until I see for myself how everything is, etc. I have figured out my workouts to be about 2 hours so I have planned to do back to back workouts in the morning before I leave for work. My fear is starving at work. What if it gets too busy in the store and I don't have time to eat or they don't let me eat at a certain time...body starts starving and storing fat. This is really bothering me. I worry about EVERYTHING! I figured my eating time to be around 1pm as I will stuff my face before I pull in the place...so that will be around 3 hours apart and then I can eat on the way home. I just hope everything works out. I am either going to have lower body fat or higher with this job. Scares me thinking of higher. I have worked so hard and I want to keep everything going smoothly. So wish me luck, girlie!!!! Miss ya!

Charlotte~~

Welcome back Lori! I was beginning to think they blocked you. :)

Charlotte - wow, that sounds like a fun job! Perfect for you. Why don't you keep some sort of healthy, healthy trail mix (homemade) with carbs and protein or some other kind of snack that you can keep in your pocket just in case? At least you can do this until you know how it's going to go. Or have some bars to munch on. I know that's not the best snack, but it will do in a pinch so you can avoid missing meals and getting too hungry. Where there's a will there's a way and you've worked too hard to let starvation ruin you! :p

Yep, I'm checking on you guys, my regular check in ladies have deserted me. Guess they're busy.

Tips for working out early...hmmmm....I get up at the most unreasonable time of 2:30a.m. to 2:45a.m. M-Th (I have Fridays off). How do I do it? I make sure I get to bed by 8:30 (no later than 9:00), and no coffee anymore in the evening. One cup before 6:30 at night with my beloved fat-free french vanilla creamer (I swear that's why I drink coffee) left me not able to relax right away so, no more of that and I'm now out like a light. I'm older than you guys (47) so find I need less sleep. A big motivator is I love my morning coffee and I'll have a cup of that and read the forums before working out from 3:30 to 4:30. I love working out and it's just a habit now. I just feel soooo good for the rest of the day. Been doing this for a couple of years now, but working out to Cathe for a year plus. I too only have one TV in the house so working out after work is not an option for me. I do get to sleep in a bit on F-Sun and get to be more leisurely about my workouts on those days, but they are still always in the morning (TV issue at night).

Vilma, give it a try. It's worth it to me for sure. Just a fact of life for my DH anymore.

HTH
