MMA Boxing/Kettlebell combo workout

This is a workout I did yesterday:
I combined Lauren's Brook's "Baby Bells" workout (though I am not, nor have ever been pregnant!) and MMA Boxing.

Started with the warm-up and body of the KB workout, then went to the warm-up and body of the boxing workout, skipping over the lower-body drills, then the heavy bag bonus (changing any lower-body moves to either flurry punches on the bag or 'power punches' that moved the bag around, because I wanted to use MMA: B as an upper-body resistance/plyo workout). Went back to the boxing stretch (a really good upper-body stretch, but no lower body stretches? Or did I miss them in a segment I skipped?), then back to Lauren's workout for the stretch (a really good lower-body stretch, but no upper body...so the two stretches complimented each other really well.

Doing the KB workout before Boxing preworked my core (I could really feel it one some of the cross punches and other rotational moves) and the rest of the body (I could really feel my lats working during some of the bag work).

I highly recommend combining KB (any workout you enjoy) and MMA Boxing.

Thanks Kathryn. I did Lauren's new Volume 2 workout for the first time yesterday--loved it, BTW. Your combination sounds fun. Her new workout is divided into different sections and would work very well with MMA Boxing. I'll have to try it next week.

Me too!

You are so right Kathryn about KB and Boxing together! I just did The Smoker w/The Finisher on Lauren Brook's new DVD and then put in MMA Fusion and started at Drill 1. It was a great workout!!

That does sound good!

I have Lauren's workout ,but haven't done it yet.
And I haven't done MMA Fusion yet (it's the last of the MMA workouts I'll be doing ).

I'm thinking maybe Lauren's 14-minute workout from her first DVD, then finishing off with Fusion.

I've been away from KB's for a while, so I don't feel up to something called 'the Smoker' or "the Finisher" quite yet, LOL!
