RE: mixing it up with amy bento & shiva rea (abdominals...
I have fast become a fan of many of Amy's workouts, even her shorter, not as great production quality first offerings.
I will list what I have and what I like about them.
Advaced Step Challenge - a first offering, production quality could be better, but what a fun cardiovasular step workout. It is under one hour even when you tack on the power up segment, but it is a nice little sweatfest! The choreogrpahy is quite a bit more challenging than Cathe's but I had a ball learning it. I pull this out when I want intense cardio but don't feel like and Imax.
Cardio Pump Step - Short, intense step followed by short, intense total body weight work...some unique twists. A nice little total body pump in right under 50 minutes
Cardio Pump Hi/Lo - same as above only the cardio is hi/lo
Abs & Stretch - two ab workouts and two stretch workouts...very nice. The ab work was doable but I felt my obliques the next day! I did all 30 mintues of abs and I NEVER work my abs that long. It was tough but very doable and varied yet I knew my core had been worked the next day!
All Pump - short total body weight workout - around 40 minutes if I remember - but nice for those days you are short on time. A real leg burner included.
Hi/Lo Extreme - awesome production, awesome music, fun choreography with athletic intervals, over one hour, awesome premixes, including 3 premixes with footage from All Pump Extreme
Kickbox Extreme - fabulous production, music, choreography - basically another hi/lo with kickbox flare - nice core work - many premix options, over an hour
Amy is coming out with an Advanced Step Challenge 2 in her fall filming line up. Many of her ideas sound interesting and I will be watching with interest. She has definitely gotten better and better and has taken others suggestions into account yet I feel like she knows what she is good at and I feel like I kind of know what to expect from her, which I like.

They are nice and long and I feel they give you a good idea of what her workouts are like.

P.S. Amy has somewhat complex choreography(compared to Cathe) while staying athletic which I like. There was more of a learning curve with Amy's workouts than with Cathe's but well worth learning!
P.S.S. I just realized you were only asking about ab work...so sorry! I find that Amy really likes to work the obliques compared to other workouts I have but she does hit everything.
