I agree with everything Sherry said above. I have a MIO and I never use it for these exact reasons... I found you pretty much have to stop moving to get your heart rate to register correctly, and you have to do this often in order for the info to be accurate. I would strongly suggest a HRM monitor with a chest strap instead.
