*** MIA HATERS- MONDAY ***

Cathlete
Thought I'd start our Monday post since the way things are going we may not have a check in! ;)

I have been SO busy since Friday that I haven't had ANY time to be on the computer- which has been good for my shopping addiction! }( I did go to Von Mauer today though... :D Thought I'd do good by only allowing myself an hour before closing but WOW can I do damage in an hour!

Friday night Chad & I had decided on dinner & a movie so he picked me up about 6 but one of his friends had called him wondering what we were doing so him & his girlfriend met us for dinner and we were there longer than expected so we decided to skip the movie and go with them to the local comedy club, it was a lot of fun.

Saturday we had planned to leave about 11:30 to head to EIU for the game but Chad found out Fri night that his youngests soccer game was at noon and not 10 like he thought. So we didn't leave until about 1:30 and got back home about 10 last night. Had fun there also.

Today I was so busy- got up at 7 & didn't stop until 2:45 when I had to get in the shower. Drove about 45 min east to meet Mom & Diana for dinner... went shopping before meeting them! Did KPC/L&G premix Friday, Drill Max Saturday, another KPC/L&G premix, BM2 Upper body, the floor work of L&G again, and another 30 min floor butt/thigh work today! I received my new workouts Friday but wanted to wait to tackle BC & Kickbox until a day I'm not so busy!

So what did everyone else do this weekend? How is everyone?
Michele- Have fun with the family?

August- Where are you?

Robin- Have fun in DC?

Dana- What did you end up doing this weekend? I know Gabe had soccer one day, right?

Jennifer- What was an your agenda this weekend? Any dates... :) :)

Shelley & Terri- Where are you???? :-( :-( :-(

Okay, going to wonder around the forums for a few then hit the hay!

Hello Jen.
Your weekend sounds like it was a Blast! Sorry, no dates here. This weekend, I did LIS and previewed BC-4DS and HIS-4DS. The DVDs are worth the investment.
The good thing about Match is that I'm communicating with a few people, getting winked by guys I would never date though.
Seville and Madrid are doing well.
The NFL Films were here to film a team that is ranked nationally in high school but had an upset Friday night and lost.
Yeah! The Red Sox are going to the Series!!

Have a Great Day!!

Mornin' http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/mornincoffee.gif

Oh man, our weekend was completely exhausting. We spent it with my IL's celebrating my MIL's 80th birthday. The lasagna was a big hit on Friday and we devoured the leftovers for lunch on Saturday. We went out for dinner Saturday and Sunday evening -- I was so relieved because I had visions of being chained to the stove all weekend. The weather was perfect, too -- it was warm and sunny, and the leaves are so pretty right now http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/sun.gif All in all it was a beautiful weekend!

I'm starting the 4th week of my P90 rotation and I haven't missed a single workout  . I'm not seeing the results I was hoping for though, and this seems like a lot of work for precious little return http://bestsmileys.com/anxious/1.gif . That whole thing about sticking with something for 21 days to develop a habit is a bunch of crap. I've been on my rotation for 21 days and there's nothing automatic or 2nd nature about it. I'm still having to psych myself out and drag myself into my workout room every damn day, for crying out loud. Let's face it, I'm a die hard hater and it'll take a lot more than a 21 day commitment for me to develop a habit http://bestsmileys.com/nono/4.gif

Jen - It sounds like you had a busy weekend, too!. So, what'd you buy? :p

Did you order the 4-Day Split? If not you should. The bootcamp and kickbox workouts are right up your alley ;)

Have you introduced Chad to your mom and sister yet? They will LOVE him!! :7

Jennifer - I previewed most of the 4-Day Split but I haven't had a chance to do any of the workouts yet. I agree that they're worth the investment, even though I won't be doing the cardio portions. The weight work looks awesome! Which workout is your favorite?

Dana - How was your weekend? Did you try any of the new workouts? I'm thinking about doing the 4-Day split but substituting with my weenie girl cardio -- you know -- the walking workouts :p . I could throw in a couple of CC workouts, too. Maybe that's what I'll do!

Robin - Did you have fun in DC? What all did you do there? Are you on New Life Diet Monday? After a weekend of lasagna, cake, pie, brownies, and candy, I'm right there with you ;(

August - Are you back from your weekend trip? We miss you ;). You haven't come out to play in AGES :-(

Diane - How are you doing with your walking? Didn't you preorder Cathe's 4-Day Split? Have you previewed them yet? How's baby Ella doing? Are you adjusting to motherhood?

Hello to anyone and everyone else.

Breakfast is calling, and my house is a filthy pig sty. I better extricate my butt from this chair and get crackin! :*

Good morning all. I have to make this pretty quick, since you-know-who is at break and will be back any minute.

Jen, sounds like you had a great weekend. I agree with Michele, time to introduce Chad to the family!

Michele, I'm glad you were freed from a whole weekend of kitchen duty. High fives on your continued devotion to your rotation. Maybe you'll see the results all at once. Hope so. It's so frustrating to work hard and see no change.

Jennifer, another Yay for the Sox!

We had fun in DC. We went to Arlington first and walked around, ending up at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers for the changing of the guard. So moving. Next we went over the river to DC and visited the Natl Botanical Garden. Lots of really neat plants. We wandered over to the air and space museum, but by then we were too bushed to really enjoy the visit, so we headed out of town to our hotel in Tyson's Corner. The hotel we stay at has a complimentary happy hour, which is nice. Then we had a great seafood dinner at McCormick and Schmidts.(sp?) Sunday we headed south for Mount Vernon. It was a nice warm, sunny day and we enjoyed the visit. So did the other hundreds of guests! All in all it was a nice weekend. The baby was a pretty good traveler. He really seems to enjoy being places with lots of people to watch.

I'm going to do a 4day splint rotation, adding a day of cardio and a day of full body weights to round it up to 6 days. Today will be HIS.

Have a good one all.

Hi ladies,

Man I hate Mondays even though I am not going into work anymore. It is so nice to have DH home during the weekend and I can get some help.

I signed up for Weight Watchers online last night. I am getting sick of this extra weight and I wasn't really doing anything to try and lose it. And I don't think I can really do Eat to Live right now - we have so many people bringing us food and snacks so I needed a program where I can eat normal food. And I get lots of extra points b/c I am nursing so I get to eat a ton :) Now I just need to figure out what to eat to stay within my points. I have lost about 23 of the 40 I had gained. But I will probably only realisticly lose 35 lbs because I was a few pounds lower than my usual weight before pregnancy (was on Eat to Live) and I have heard that breastfeeding keeps a few extra pounds on you. So I have about 12 lbs left to go and A LOT of toning up to do.

I am starting to get the hang of this being a mom thing. Breastfeeding is finally starting to go more smoothly which was a big stressor before. I am going to a free breastfeeding meeting this morning at the hospital just to ask some questions and make sure we are doing things right. And Ella is sleeping a lot better (6-8 hr stretches at night!) and we are figuring out what she needs when she cries and things like that.

Well I need to get ready to go to this breastfeeding meeting. I will check in later.

Hi Robin and Diane!!

Robin, I LOVE DC. I haven't been there in several years and I hope to accompany DH on one of his upcoming trips there. He loves McCormick & Schmick's -- the one in DC, that is. We have one here but he said it pales in comparison. I've never been to the National Botanical Garden and would love to see it. On our trip I couldn't get DH out of the Air and Space Museum x( . I liked it, too, but I was anxious to move on to other things :p

Diane, wow, I'm impressed that you've already lost more than half of your pregnancy weight!! That's awesome!! You didn't look like you gained 40 #'s. I'll be anxious to hear all about your WW diet. When will the doctor clear you for weight workouts, or do you even need to be cleared for that? I'm sure once you get started it won't take long for you to whip yourself into shape.

Good luck at your breastfeeding meeting!

I've made a decision about my day. I'm busting out of here! It's too lovely a day to stay couped up inside cleaning house and working out. I'll work out this evening after dark :p . It's supposed to rain the rest of the week and I have no idea when I'll see the sun again, so I intend to enjoy it while it lasts. I was thinking about calling my best friend to see if she's free, but I think I'd rather just be by myself. She likes to linger in restaurants and talk till I can't listen anymore, and I'm not up for that at all. I might be up for perusing an antique shop or two :D . Ciao for now :)

Michele - I am only supposed to walk for the first 6 weeks (not even kegels, which I thought was odd, maybe because I had a tear). Then after I am cleared at my 6 week check up I can start light workouts and build up very gradually. I think it is going to take me a few months to really get back into any kind of strenuous workouts. I am still a bit uncomfortable walking some days, it is taking me a while to heal. I still have only taken 2 walks! It is just hard to fit it into the day even though I am home all day. And the weather hasn't been the greatest - hot and humid, and today it is nice and cool but raining. I don't think it will be realistic for me to do hour long Cathe workouts any time soon, b/c getting an uninterrupted hour doesn't happen much and I won't be physically able to do that for quite some time. But I am excited to work up to that over the next few months.

The breastfeeding meeting was fun! I think I may go back next week (it is a free meeting at the hospital every Monday for the first 6 weeks postpartum, then there are meetings you can join after that for some kind of fee). I didn't really talk to the other moms there (was more of a question and answer thing, not too social) but it was just good to get out and see other moms and be around people having similar issues. They weigh the baby before and after you feed them to see how many ounces they are getting. She got 4 oz in the feeding (and she wasn't even eating that long), and the lactation consultant said that was a lot, that most people get in only 1-2 oz. So that is why Ella has been sleeping so great, her tummy is full! And she was weighed in at 8 lbs 3 oz before the feed (with clothes on) and she was 7 lbs 3 oz (with no clothes on) one week ago, so she is gaining more than she needs to gain which is great.

I was out all day, just enjoying the sunshine and having a perfectly wonderful time. At one point I ventured into this cute little shop -- this cute, QUIET little shop -- quiet -- it was nice and quiet -- a very quiet shop. And then I heard it...this...this incessant squeaking noise. A LOUD, squeaking noise in this otherwise very quiet shop http://bestsmileys.com/frustrated/9.gif

I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was or where it was coming from, and then I spotted the offender -- a toddler who, every time he bounced or took a step, a LOUD, squeaking noise emanated from his shoes. And NO, they weren't a pair of shoes that happened to squeak when he walked -- they were DELIBERATELY made to squeak, like a rubber ducky  ! I'm telling you, it got on my last nerve!

Moms of America, if you like those shoes, then FINE! Let your child wear them at home to your hearts content, but PLEASE don't inflict this upon the rest of us, K!? Seriously though, I came this close to ripping the shoes off that kid and beating the mom with them :p

Diane, don't you dare buy those shoes for Ella :p :7

I'm sooooo behind in reading!!!!!!!

I'm back, but I'm so behind, I hate to even post! :* I have no idea what any of you are up to and it bugs me to no end. :)

Meanwhile, I'm up at 7am feeding the 4 montsers (I'm babysitting).

I'll try to get some reading time in here soon and be back.....in a few!

Miss you guys!

AUGUST!!!! We were posting at the same time :p

We have missed you! Don't worry about replying to all our posts. We're just so darn happy to see you here :) . There wasn't any action in Hatertown all weekend so you haven't missed much ;) .

OMG! OMG! OMG! You guys will never guess what I got in the mail today!! I bought V7 of Cardio Coach last week and for an extra $2 I ordered a CD-R. The CD came today and it has my name ON it, I mean my name is printed right on the CD, and underneath my name it says "Cardio Princess" -- LMAO!!!! I'm not kidding! OMG -- I'm ROTFLMAO!!! Cardio Princess -- Bwahahahahaha!!!!!

http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/queen.gif

All Hail the Cardio Princess!!!

Or is that Awe Hell, the Cardio Princess.

The kids shoes sound soooo annoying. Just the thing to get for the kid of someone you really don't like. I remember a toy my parents bought Tristan when he was about two. It was a disney showboat thing with all kinds of disney charcters on deck making all kinds of annoying sounds, while the boat tooted and blinked and rolled across the floor. I think we hid it when we got home. The M&S restaurant we go to is in Tyson's Corner. I don't know how it stacks up against the one in town, never haven eaten there.

Diane, sounds like you are being very sane about the "babyfat." I agree, finding time to do a whole Cathe workout may be hard. Eventually Ella will be old enough to give Mommy some "me" time. Have you seen any of the workouts designed to be done with your baby? I got Emily a baby and mom yoga workout. Of course, I don't thing she ever did it.

August, welcome back. Don't worry about catching up. I'm always a day late and about $20 bucks short.

I did 4DS HIS this evening. Sorry, but I loved the cardio.

Hello Haters.
Hate Mondays, of course. Today is so dreary and icky compared to the weekend.
My fave workout so far is LIS-4DS. Bootcamp looks doable, Kickbox was attainable cause I do alot of KPC. HIS might be tricky, not at Sat AM workout more like a Thurs night one.The routine in LIS is so cute, it reminds me of C&W.
Great to hear from you, Diane. I love the baby pics of Miss Ella.
On the man front: I emailed a guy I was seeing from Detroit, not my part of the city, but from the other side. We'll go to dinner, maybe the mall, and hang out at his house. Plus,I've been communicating again with guys from Match from last year before my Dad got real ill.
It sounds better than it actually is.
At church on Sunday, I talked to this person whom I maybe distantly related to and we both went to and graduated from the same college. Small world??

Have a Great Night.
