Good morning!

Just getting us started. I just did an I-Tread, now I have to feed the dog, bird, etc..

BB in a bit:)

Deb

Hi, I'm back,

Well, DH comes home tonight so things will be back to normal around here.. I like having a few days to myself, but after a bit, I really want him to be home! It was beautiful here yesterday, sunny and in the 50's. That was after flurries at around 6:00 am! crazy weather..I spent most of the afternoon on line looking at houses for sale for my Dad and his wife.. kind of fun looking when it's not for you!

Robin:
Do you work every weekend? or are you on a rotation? Maybe you should start 4DS "as is" and keep those extra days as rest days? It's pretty intense and you are getting 4 days of cardio along with the weights. I have had my "summer" car out, but no top down! Love the "pizza" story! LOL.

Jennifer:
Cudos to you for being able to do that 4DS pre-mix! I would be like a wet noodle after doing that :7 Glad you opted to nap! Scary about the neighbor..

Tneah:
Are you glad that DSD is gone? LOL! YOu need a break from all this company all the time! I guess it comes with the territory...your business people visiting for business, and living in a place people like to visit. Yes! we want to see you painting again..it's been a while and you are sooo good!

Shelly:
Is Sophie better today? will she be ok to go to school? what do you do if she isn;t well enough to go? The OUtlet Mall was not as crowded as I thought it would be. I picked up a nice black sweater at Eddie Bauer and some new coffee cups at the Corelle outlet.

Leanne:
Beautiful, beautiful necklace! and love the purse too. I will be gone for 5 days. Training, training, training...it seems like that is all I do these days. I can't use mineral makeup either..I have tried 3 brands and they all make me look older and accent the wrinkles! No thank you!

Lainie:
YOur dreams are hilarious! It is the sign of a creative person, so much imagination as well! I bet you are good at making up stories to tell your DS's?

Have a great day!

Deb;-)

Good Morning Deb and Melters to Follow.

The weekend went by so fast. Our next Holiday is 6 weeks away till Memorial Day, then I get a long weekend on the first weekend of summer. NWA is already changing my flights and my times already to get home, going there is still the same. (NY)

No workouts for me tonight, Thurs, or Friday nights. Pot luck at work on Friday so I'm making taco salad so I will buy the stuff Thurs night and figure out my bills then too. Hopefully, my big raise too. (say a prayer please).

Now, that it might be getting warmer here. My weekend activities will be more at Lake MI.. either for parties on yachts or campfires, etc..

Hope everyone has a Great Monday today!!

Morning melters.

Deb, I know just what you mean about time with/without DH. Mine used to occasionally visit his parents with the kids on weekends that I had to work. I loved the quiet evenings alone, but couldn't wait for them to get back. I have to work every third weekend, but had to work an extra one to make up for a trade during my vacation. Now I'm back on my regular schedule and have the next two off. I checked out Cathe's 4DS rotation and will give it a try. There are lots of rest or stretch days where she says you can substitute cardio if you'd like.

Jennifer, I'm crossing all my parts that your raise comes through. Our flight out west has changed several times too.

I have a long list of chores to get started, including window washing and Kickbox/Legs and Core. I'll try to get back later, if I can move! Have a great melty Monday all.

Happy Monday, Melters!

I had a very nice weekend - Saturday was crazy busy with yard stuff, etc., but fun. Sunday was steady, but I got to stay inside most of the day. Thank goodness, because it was cloudy and cold!

Well, I'm terribly behind on all the weekend happenings here. x( I honestly didn't have time for the computer! I guess I'm going to have to stay behind, because I FINALLY got a journal article that I need to edit and lay out. The schedue is about a half a week behind because the author was late. Oh well. I've caught up from worse than that before.

Oh, hey... I did the 4DS calf work in its entirety with no problems! Another milestone!

Deb - I'm glad the snow didn't stick! And I'm glad your DH is coming back!

Jennifer - I hope you get that raise!!!

Robin - Are you going to try the 4DS rotation? Those extra cardio days would be great for a low impact Cardio Coach, right? I hope you mark off everything on your list today!

Hi everyone. Just hopping in to say "hi" before I run off to do some errands. I'm hoping to pick up my new glasses today, as well as return some stuff to Target and go to the post office. Luckily I can do all those things at the local mall. Unfortunately the local mall is HUGE so that might require a lot of walking--or driving around the mall between errands, which seems kind of silly.

After that Ewan has his speech therapy at 11:30 and at some point I'm going to work in some yoga. Hope to BBL for personals and stuff.

And I have heartburn. Argh.

Good morning, everyone!

DH wasn't feeling too great yesterday, so he's staying home sick and is still asleep. I'm bummed because normally Mondays I'm at home doing work all day, but today I have to be in at work at noon to do student evaluations for another teacher and then for a meeting at 2:00. It would have been nice to have been at home with him today. Ah, well. I think that I may try to take a "mental health" day next week. I always feel guilty when I do that, but I haven't taken one sick day for a year, so I shouldn't feel too bad, right??

Today I'll be tackling Amy B's Hi/Lo Knockout again. It'll be my third time trying it. I'll try to check back in again later this morning or once I get home from work this afternoon. And now off to do some work!

Deb -- Glad that DH will be back today! As nice as it is having the house to yourself for a few days, it's always nice to have those DH's back. Did you see any interesting houses for DF and his wife? Will you be able to check in with us while you're gone those five days? We'll miss you if you can't! Yes, the mineral makeup also settled into my crinkles, too -- not good!

Jen -- I'm hoping for that big raise for you!! Let us know how as soon as you hear.

Lainie -- Your dreams are SOOO interesting! Wow! If I had such interesting dreams, I'd want to sleep more so I could dream all the time!;-) Take a photo of you with your new glasses! We'd love to see them!

Tneah -- How were those nachos yesterday? YUMM!! And did Mitch get a chance to talk to his DD before she left? And have you been painting at all? You must still be so excited and relieved about finishing up your 12 weeks! I'm still so blown away by all your hard work and dedication.

Shelley -- How is Sophie feeling this morning? Any better? Did you end up being able to stop by the Gap over the weekend?

Robin -- How great that 4DS HIS yesterday went well and didn't bother your knee! Just don't overdo it today with all that work!

Shannon -- Did you have a relaxing weekend away from the computer? We missed you! Hope that that journal article won't keep you too busy.

Hi to Emily and TK if you check in!

Morning All!:)

I normally do not look forward to Mondays, but today? Heck yeah! DD is gone..DH is home, still sleeping soundly...don't boys look so cute when they sleep?:) So I am a happy camper. DH leaves to DC Tuesday for a day, another meeting with the lawyers, but that is ok, this week is all about us, no company so far!

Deb, You have a bird? Wow, that is pretty cool. My friend had a parrot that used to talk all the time and then bite me if I got too close.:7 It kinda hurt, they have really sharp beaks. And he was really messy, he would toss his feed all over the room.

Jennifer, sounds like you have a really busy next couple of weeks planned, the taco salad sounds yummers. And good energy vibes your way on that raise!

Robin, have fun with the kickbox, in fact, thanks! I have not done a kickbox workout in awhile, think I might pull out Cardio Kicks this morning.

Shannon, good to see you, we always miss you on the weekends. Glad to hear that calf is holding strong, and oh you got my email right?:)

Lainie, sounds like you have a busy day planned too. Any day that includes a trip to Target is a good day in my book.:7 I take Prilosec over the counter stuff for my heartburn, which I tend to get on a regular basis for some reason.

Well, yesterday I went berserk kinda with my eating. Had a large dish of nachos with all the low fat ingredients to make it sorta "clean", and then had a large dish of lowfat chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup and sprinkles.:9 It was so nice to enjoy these things and know that next Sunday, I get to do the same thing. During the week though, its back to the diet plan and exercise plan. I think I might do GS legs today though, I miss some of Cathe's weight workouts, so will incorporate some of them into my maintenance routine. Although I think the Slow and Heavy series would probably be more like I have been training, I need a little change this week.
Hi to Leanne, Shelley and the rest, bbl to chat!

Leanne, LOL we always post at the same time. I am all for the mental health day! Hope your DH feels better...

Hey Melters! :) Did everyone have a nice weekend?

Not much exciting going on with me. I did PUB this morning. I have PMS and it's making me want to eat my weight in potato chips and chocolate. Must.resist.cravings!!!

Deb, I'm glad you get your DH back tonight. :)

Jennifer, I can't wait for the next holiday - 6 weeks is too far away! I am taking this Friday off because I need a break. Ugh. I hope you get a big raise at work!

Robin, have fun with your chores! (is that possible???) ;)

Shannon, don't worry, I'm way behind here too. I am rarely on here during the weekends, so I get totally out of the loop. How's your calf feeling?

Lainie, have fun running errands around the big huge mall! Hey, all that walking is burning calories! :)

Tneah, your nachos sound good. As does your ice cream sundae. I would like both of those things right now. *drools*

Leanne, don't feel bad about taking a mental health day. Especially if you rarely take sick days. Enjoy the time off! :)

Alright, it's almost lunch time - thank goodness, because I'm starving! Chat with you gals later! :)

I'm done with Kickbox, Legs and Core. It felt pretty good! I think I'm with you, Shannon, all better !

Emily, chores are like running. They feel so good when you are done.

Lainie, be careful with that ankle while you are at the mall.

Leanne, the trouble with mental health days is I'm always afraid I'll get deathly ill the following week and not be able to take a sick day without an "occurance." Sorry to hear your DH is ill. I hope you don't catch it.

tneah, I admire how well you can return to your clean diet after a cheat day. An intentional cheat day for me always spirals out of control and into a cheat month.

Shelley, where are you today? I hope Sophie didn't have a relapse.

I have to go find something healthy for lunch, then finish the upstairs windows. Then most of my chores will be done and maybe I'll have some time to relax with a book or a walk before it's time to make dinner.

Hi Emily! Sorry bout the PMS monsters! My doctor found I had low progesterone levels and put my on a small amount which will supposedly help with my out of control cravings, moodiness and those lovely occasional heart palps and night sweats I get every so often-lovely thing being 41 soon to be 42. Oh, and I have also found taking chaste berry really helps too. I would have shared my nachos and ice cream with you.:p

Robin, you know what I do? I buy small amounts of the cheat foods and then toss the rest away so there is nothing left in the house to tempt me the next day. I am also remembering how hard I worked to get here ya know what I mean? :) It'll be easy to stick with the diet plan since the boys aren't here this week and DH eats very well when there isn't junk around.Glad your workout went so well!

I switched my workout today and did chest/arms along with a 60 minute itread...oh that Grace...she has a weird voice don't you think?

Did you guys see the news about 2 road trips this summer? I thought I was going to pass out when I got the email, but I think I'll wait to get too excited until Brian agrees to watch the boys for a weekend and until I actually get in. Knowing me I'll get all worked up and not even get a spot.

I just had that road trip dream the other night, then woke and said, I bet they aren't even having one with all this STS stuff going on. So glad I was wrong.

Anyway, I hope I would be in good enough shape to participate in a road trip, at least. I just got done with a yoga workout. I'm going to be pretty careful with my workouts this week since the ankle is still iffy.

Deb, glad your DH is coming home. I know how you feel--I enjoy it at first when DH leaves, but then I want him back. I don't make up stories for my DSs much, but I make up plenty of songs--or at least change the lyrics to songs. My oldest DS likes to do the same now. I don't consider myself creative (like I suck at crafts and stuff or making anything) but I do consider myself imaginative, if the difference makes sense.

Jennifer, I'll say a prayer you get that raise! Whereabouts in NY are you from? I live about 20 miles north of NYC.

Robin, good luck with starting a 4DS rotation--wish my ankle and knees were healthy enough to do one again myself. Maybe soon I can at least do the weights in a rotation, if not all the cardio.

Shannon, congrats on being able to do the 4DS calf work!

Tneah, sounds like you took good advantage of your free Sunday, huh? Yes, I had a bit too much fun at Target today. I even bought a couple skirts. I usually don't buy much clothes there (except some workout clothes) but they had a couple cute cotton skirts--and I love skirts for summer, like I said.

Leanne, I'll try to get a photo with the glasses later. I plan to wash my hair after I pick up Isaac from the bus stop, so I want to wait until after that (it's a bit unkempt right now).

Emily, yeah, the walking burns calories, but the ankle still hurts. Argh. It's a little better, though--I'm at least not limping. Good luck fighting those PMS cravings!

I just got the Road Trip email.....uh, you wanna know a secret? I would be terrified to walk into a room filled with 105 women and socialize.

I think I would be fine once I started talking (I always am) but that beforehand anxiety...I'm tellin ya, I am forced to socialize all the time because of the biz, but I am really quite shy-yes, really!:) Plus, I am terrible at the step workouts and would screw everyone up around me. But even so, I can live through those of you who do go!:7 Maybe if I lived closer to the east coast.
Lainie, your skirts sound adorable, I love Target for some clothing items, and love the flip flops!
I'm off to do some shopping...

Oh, my gosh! The Road Trip would be so much fun! Are any of you thinking about going? If so, it would be so much fun to plan to go the same weekend and meet in person!!!

Tneah, I'm super shy, too, but we would have so much fun!!! Think about it going! Maybe we could even fly out together somehow . . . .

Robin -- I know -- I keep thinking that if I take a day off, I'll definitely get sick a few weeks after, when it'll be harder to miss a day. I may not take that mental health day after all.

Lainie -- Can't wait to see your photo in your new glasses! That skirt is adorable!

Emily -- Sending anti-PMS vibes your way!

Shelley -- We miss you! Hope you and Sophie are alright!

Lainie, adorable skirt! And what a fabo price you got on it too! What do you pair it with? A plain tee? Flip flops, wedges? Curious minds want to know.;)

Leanne, yeah, I don't know, it would be fun huh? I need to see whats going on around these parts--actually I am just making excuses..:)

I am stalling on the workfront here, need to get busy and answer about a zillion emails from customers...

OK, here are the glasses:
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g76/lainiefig/Photo151.jpg

I would probably wear a plain T-shirt with the skirt--maybe just white. Or maybe a short-sleeved white sweater. I haven't tried any looks with it yet, though, so not sure yet. I don't wear flip flops and I can't currently wear anything but flats (with the ankle issues) so I might wear my little silver flats with it.

ETA: Eek, you can also see how much I'm in need of a haircut.

Hello Melters.

Lainie-Your glasses are great!!

My sister lives in upstate NY. I'm actually from the metro Detroit area originally.

Time to make dinner, no news on raise yet, spring has arrived, cheated on my diet big time today, but not worried.

Have a Great Night!!

Lainie is a pretty girl in her new glasses!:) Love them! Love the silver flats idea as well. I have a pair I paid waaay to much for-Tory Burch-damn that woman...anyway, they are totally uncomfortable! Now that is an unforgivable sin to me, a flat uncomfortable shoe.An uncomfortable heel? To be expected.
Plus, did I save the receipt? Of course not, so I am stuck with a pair of uncomfortable expensive flat shoes.x( Crappers. You don't look like you need a haircut, did you lighten up though?I am really liking the hair color.

I am done with the emails, it never takes me as long as I think, and am thinking about starting the dreaded spring cleaning.

Hi Jen, what did you eat today?}(

Lainie, I love the new glasses. You look like the consumate sexy, smart girl!

tneah, the RT isn't anything to be scared of. The minute I walked into the hotel, I ran into a "forum friend." A bunch of us who post regularly on the arrow thread hung out together most of the weekend. I met some other wonderful people who I barely knew from the forums. If any of you get the chance, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful, unforgetable weekend.

All that being said, I doubt if I'll make it this year. We'll be away the weekend in August and I have to work the weekend in July. The other problem is that I really don't have the $$ this year. DH hasn't ruled it out, but I'm not holding out much hope.
