Mens clothes...suggestions?

My husband told me he wants new clothes for his birthday. He has given me the ol' "I'll trust your judgement, you know what looks nice better than I do." Which, of course, is true. Trouble is...I can't find anything I like. It always looks the same! I was browsing Gap.com and couldn't find anything. I was at Kohl's yesterday and didn't see anything that he doesn't already own.

Any suggestions for a good place to get men's clothes, that doesn't cost a fortune? My husband is not a flashy guy. He's most happy in t-shirts and jeans. But for work...he needs something more "business casual". I found some stuff on macys.com that was nice, but haven't committed to the purchase yet.

Hi Donna,
I buy my husbands clothes all the time. I've actually found the best sales for good quality clothing at Kaufman's. The one I go to is near where you live, in Buffalo. I dont have that store in my area. Their website does not show sales, but they have sales racks in every department.

I think that Land's End and L.L.Bean have the best values in men's clothes. My dad supplied fabrics to both companies, and the quality of the garments is second to none. The quality of a Land's End shirt is the same as that of Brooks Brothers and other high-end clothing stores, at a fraction of the price. Also, the customer service is phenomenal.

My DH likes the stuff because the styles are simple, clean and rugged. They also make a lot of styles that don't have to be ironed.

I second Eddie Bauer. Also, if you don't mind spending a little extra, www.jpeterman.com & www.sundancecatalog.com for unique but classic men's clothing. Sundance's selection is limited but it's great quality & the clothes are just beautiful (warning--you might end up buying more stuff for yourself on this site).
