"Melting" on a Wonderful Weekend!

RE:

Good Sunday everyone,

DH kept the alarm on and yet once again, we woke up every 15 minutes from 5am on...x( whatta dork. Yeah, we are getting along nicely now, its all good. I am letting that one slide.;) In the old days, I would have packed my bags, seriously. Woulda been outta there. I had issues with commitment, and a fight signaled the whole thing was over with right then. My isn't is nice as we get older we get a little wiser to?:) Or a at least a little more tolerant of others mistakes, as we realize that we make them too?;)

Deb, sorry your workout wasn't what you expected. I seriously only really use 4 different people. Cathe, Tony H.(rarely, and then only cardio and the stretch), Billy Blanks (rarely) and Coach Troy with the Spinervals series. Oh, and then of course the itrains. But I have tried Amy, Kimberley, etc...just cannot get into them for some reason. Today is your "anew" day, and I am sending you clean eating vibes dear lady! i am so excited to see how your puppy search pans out. Just know the right little guy will turn up at the perfect time. That is how it happened with Georgie.Hope you got my email. You are a sweetie.

Robin, oh dear, what is up with the head cold thing? Whaaa. Not the sickness, thought we got all that crud behind us after the holidays. Rest up. Funny about the lights out thing. Las vegas could never do that! Can you imagine the chaos that would occur?

Shelley, next weekend is yours. Let them know its your "belated b-day" weekend and mean it. I do hope Chris is feeling better though. And I am taking a rest day today as well. Boy, am I wiped out. My knees are starting to have this "burning" feeling at night. Not very pleasant.

Jennifer, sounds like you had a fun time at the Home Show!Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Leanne, give us the goods on your road trip!

Lainie, hey girl, whats shakin? How are those poopy pants babies doing this morning?:) The precious angels.

Okay, we are flying our new captain in today to interview and talk with him about the boat, etc...so I need to get busy and clean the house up a bit. And I have to take pics this morning to send Mr. Trainer man tomorrow. We have an early morning phone consult--finally. I have been getting a little unfocused with my program. It helps to speak with him. BBL...

RE:

Hello Melters.

Today is a rest day. Debating on whether to try ACS2 again, this time on the step is the big question right now. Went to church last night so I plan to be home all day today. Did laundry, now I need to clean the house, Seville and Madrid hate the vacuum though just like the smoke alarm battery this AM when I was changing it.

Deb-Yes, I'm considering that pull up thing too but I'm going to get it AFTER the rush. I'm getting CTX delivered next week plus doing new Amy Bento.

Shelley-Your birthday should be about you. My last birthday, which is just before Christmas, my family was actually together and we celebrated it together for the first time in a very long time. Take good care of yourself today.

Robin-I was going to do the Earth Hour thing, I fell asleep and left my tv and light on though. Earth Hour was at 8-9pm wherever you are in the world to turn off non essential power for one hour. It's like not driving 48000 cars for one year.

Hope everyone has a Great Sunday!!

RE:

Good morning, everyone!

Well, Amy Bento's class was a blast yesterday! She is so funny and so sweet in person! She was telling us all these hysterical stories about filming the videos and what goes on behind the scenes. She has a nice, dark sense of humor, and is just adorable! When it came time for the class to start, though, she was her serious self -- and she sure killed us, in a good way!}( We did some kickboxing combos and then some band work. I'll be feeling it today! I'm going to post some photos later on today.

Deb -- How great that you might be able to get the new puppy sooner than expected! Would the drive to Delaware be awful? Maybe you could make it a weekend road trip! I'm thinking that I'm going to get the pull-up tower, too. I know we're not supposed to use it as a squat rack, but maybe . . . . That Piggy Pie sounds interesting!

Robin -- Sounds like you deserve a nice day off -- so maybe you shouldn't work out if your head cold is still bad! Take it easy!

Shelley -- Can you try to do some more fun things today to keep that b-day momentum going? Even though Chris is sick, can you maybe talk him into doing something fun with you -- seeing a movie or maybe getting lunch somewhere?

Tneah -- Is today the bikini pictures day? I'll bet that you're still rocking that bikini! Thanks so much again for sending the nutrition info! I may try out a modified version of it! ETA: We were posting again at the same time! Glad that things are better with DH! Sending you {{{HUGS}}}!

Jennifer -- Glad you had fun at the home show yesterday!

Shannon and TK -- "Hi" in case you check in!

Lainie -- How are the boys feeling today?:)

RE:

OK. Do not laugh at my stripper shoes, I wear these because your legs look longer if you do. Plus I took these a few minutes ago, with bed face, and bed hair. But here is where I am at body-wise. I wish my abs would have shown up better, I do have a little definition now.:) Hard to see past the boobs though. Oh, and that is my lovely scar from my hip surgery on my butt cheek. The biggest change is the lift in my booty, and my shoulders. I have dropped an inch in my waist too, the thighs are harder, but will always remain large and in charge.I will have to post some pics where I am "posing" after I am all done.

Hi Leanne!Cannot wait to see your pics!

RE:

OMG, Tneah!! You look so AMAZING!!!! You are just solid muscle, chica! I'm just blown away! All that hard work is really paying off!!! I'm *so* glad you posted these -- what an inspiration you are!!!

OK, so here are more photos, but these ones are not nearly as cool as Tneah's photos. Here are the photos I took from Amy's class yesterday (I'm in the light blue top in one of the photos just with Amy):

RE:

This is another one of those very sleepy days for me--probably because Brian and I went to bed late but Ewan came in our room to wake us before 7 again. We at least had plenty of time to get ready for church, and it was nice to go since we missed last week on Easter (because of the sick kids). I think both the boys are close to 100% now, which is such a relief. So far Brian and I have avoided getting it.

Shelley, how's it going? Did you run or rest? I'm sorry you didn't get enough Shelley time over the weekend. :( We went shopping yesterday and all we got was stuff for Brian (some ties and shirts) so I know the feeling. Of course, it wasn't my birthday. At least Chris gave you a nice gift, right? Brian sucks at giving gifts.

Robin, it's a shame all that fried stuff is no longer acceptable. I remember my folks had one of those big Fry Daddy's for all the frying they did. We also used to have these awesome big breakfasts with bacon, eggs, cream of wheat, and cinnamon biscuits. Of course, I had 7 older siblings (step and real) and if you didn't get to the table fast you might not get the best stuff. They also kept these huge barrels of flour and gallon-sized peanut butter.

Deb, they're FAT pants! Just kidding. I'll try to stop. I am seriously thinking about that pullup tower thingey, too. I'm already prepping Brian for it. I've shown him the pictures and talked it up quite a bit even though it's not even available for sale yet. You really gotta work on his cheap accountant soul early to buy stuff.

Tneah, awesome pics, chica. I'm quite impressed. I am not posting any pics of myself because they will still look like "before" pics even though I've been working on losing weight and being fit for a while now. Fab boobs, too, girlfriend. http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/upherebl.gif p.s. love the stripper shoes. Do they have a place to put coins in the heels? http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/evilgrin.gif

Jennifer, enjoy ASC2 if you decide to do it. I love that one so much now that I have to force myself not to do it all the time. :) I was fiddling with rotation ideas last night and I had trouble leaving that one out for weeks in a row, but I have so many step workouts I haven't even tried that it seems silly to do that one all the time. I figure if I start a new one and I don't like it, I can always switch to ASC2 for that workout.

Leanne, that's so cool that you got to meet Amy. Thanks for sharing the pics. I still feel silly that she's only a half hour away and I've never been to a class with her. Duh.

Wow, you would not believe how sleepy I am today. I think it's going to be a rest day as I plan to start a new rotation tomorrow. I might take a nap while Ewan naps since I'm so worn out.

Edited to fix smiley troubles.

RE:

Hi,

I just finished balancing my checkbook ( ughx( ) and thought I would drop in to see what you lovely ladies are up to!

Tneah:
Yeah I agree with you. I keep trying these other instructors and an never happy with them. I like Cathe, Tony is ok, and Grace. That's it. I want to see the nutrition info too! Please please, pretty please send it..LOL:) . Glad you are not mad at your DH any longer. Life is too short to be mad! Your pics are gorgeous!

Jennifer:
Do your cats run in all directions when you turn on the vacuum? I can visualize that ! LOL:7

Leanne:
The class sounds like fun and I love the pictures! I want my hair cut like yours. Yes we would have to pick up the puppy. We would probably fly both ways if it's an airline that lets you bring a small dog on board, or if not, we would fly one way and rent a car and drive back. NewCastle is about 7 hours from here. Chicago is much further so we would fly both ways. Both American and United let you bring a small dog right on with you. That is the only way I would do it. Do you think the pull up tower may be able to be used as a squat rack? That would be cool!

Lainie:
Hey girl maybe you have Mono? Not unheard of.. with having those illnesses that don;t go away and being sleepy a lot, maybe you should get checked for it. I am sure by the time Cathe puts that tower up for sale you will have your DH convinced that you need it!

Bye for now!

Deb

RE:

Hello Melters.

Tneah-You look great!! Cathe is the best. Don't do enough of Amy to know if she's tougher or not.

Leanne-It's awesome that you got to meet Amy. I know she was at a Cathe road trip a few years back and didn't know what all the talk was about-back then.

Lainie-Please see your doc. And, feel better soon.

Deb-that's depressing balancing a checkbook, I work for a credit union and I encourage our members to do so daily.

No decision on a workout or not. Haven't figured out what I will be doing this week. CTX is coming in by Wed..
Yes, my cats do run with the vaccum otherwise they do rule the house.

RE:

Hey guys,

Thanks, but are you sure I am not starting to look like a boy with boobs? I have no hips.x(

Leanne, love, love and love those pics! You are just cuter than a bug in a rug, and such a tiny thing! Amy's new haircut is awesome too,so is the color. It looks like you all had so much fun. Is that all you ate, that fruit tart?

Lainie, yep, those are my stripper/bedroom 'slippers".;) And LOL, I remember that post on the OD with the "dollar bill" stripper shoes.:7 Hope you get some rest today sweetie.

Deb, just sent you the program!

Jennifer, your cats sound like real characters. George my dog, hates the vacuum cleaner and runs and hides from it.CTX is great, hope you enjoy it.
OK, we hired our new captain, he is from Australia and sounds just like Steve Erwin (rest his soul), we like him. Off to brunch!
:p

RE:

*wanders into thread*
*catches sight of Tneah's pics and jaw drops to the floor*

HOLY CRAP WOMAN!! You are super-sexay! Wow! I can't understand how your DH could ever be mad at you!!}( Seriously, you look awesome! And can I please have some of your boobs?:p

Leanne - the class with Amy looks so fun! I really like her personality in her DVDs but I have a confession. When I went on the Cathe RT in 2005, she was there. I HATED her! She seemed like such a witch. She didn't talk to anyone, in KB class, she butted right in front of me in the gym and her form was AWFUL. Ummmmm... yeah, so that's my little Amy story:p

Deb - okay, that thing you ate yesterday sounded really weird. I can't imagine all those foods piled on top of each other, especially the coleslaw. But like someone said, today is a new day!

Lainie - it's just a sleepy kinda day, I think. I'm sleepy too.

Robin - how's the cold?

Hi to everyone else!

Today is quiet. Sophie has a friend over and they're downstairs alternating between playing Wii and watching Nancy Drew. Chris was feeling a bit better, but now he's feeling yucky again, so our dinner plans have once again been canceled. I tell ya, next weekend is ALL ABOUT ME:p

RE:

Hey ladies!

Like Tneah said yesterday, I love reading your posts since they all just make me smile! Just got done with GS Chest/Tris and I'm enjoying my Lean Dessert shake. Mmmm! I want to order that PVL Choc PB flavor that everyone's been talking about . . . .

Shelley -- Yes, girlfriend, make next weekend all about YOU! :) Give Chris some cold meds and make him feel better so he can take you out for a nice dinner to celebrate your b-day in style! Carry the Shelley Celebration into next weekend! Wow -- how interesting that Amy wasn't so nice! I wonder if maybe she was nervous about being at the RT since she was just getting started herself. She was super sweet and funny yesterday, so maybe she's just feeling more comfortable with the whole business. Who knows?! But I could see how your experience would be a major turn-off!

Jennifer -- I just got CTX a little while ago and really like it. I bet you'll enjoy it!

Deb -- Don't you just hate balancing the check book? I usually make my DH do it since I end up making all sorts of mistakes and he's the math teacher, after all! :) That would be so fun to take a trip to pick up a new puppy! You'll have to keep us posted on how things look.

Tneah -- Can I get some of your boobage, too? Seriously, you look FANTASTIC, and not at all like a boy! How can you even think that, silly one?! You definitely have hips and a nice curvy figure! My only worry is that you still want to get leaner. I don't see how that's possible! You look wonderful! You're so sweet about the pictures from yesterday; I hate photos of myself. Someone made that delicious fruit tart for dessert, and we had a pasta and salad buffet for the main dinner. (That tart was so delicious that I could have just eaten that for dinner!)

Lainie, Lainie, girl, they are NOT fat pants! You are NOT fat! So maybe you're going through a little rough patch, but you'll get back on track soon. Next year, no giving up shopping for Lent! Maybe you could try giving up NOT shopping instead!}( By the way, those little images you added were hysterical! Keep working on Brian for that new push-up tower!

RE:

tneah, I'm nest in line after Leanne for a boobage transplant. And yes, you look terrific. I'd love to have slim, shapely legs like yours. My bottom half is all Armenian. Big and functional. Great news on the new captain. Isn't an Australian accent sexy?

Leanne, thanks for sharing the pictures of Amy. You look so cute in the picture with her. I love her haircut.

Shelley, I understand how a bad impression of Amy at the RT could turn you off her workouts, at least for a while. I wan't really crazy about Tracy S's workouts until I met her. And Allison. I agree with Leanne. Maybe she was just nervous about meeting Cathe while trying to get into the business herself. I remember lots of bad mouthing her earlier workouts on the forums, but it seems like they are getting better reviews. The cold is no better, but no worse.

Hey Deb, where would you have to go in Delaware? Maybe you could combine the puppy pick up with a GTG with TK. And a side trip to Cathe's gym in NJ.

Jennifer, my cats hate the vacuum cleaner too. We call it the cat killer.

Lainie, you have every right to be sleepy after the week you had. By the way, I loved your reasoning about how shopping can keep you from gaining. That's how I feel about vacation. I never gain weight on vacation, because I'm never bored and don't snack. Even if I eat dessert everynight, my weight stays the same or drops.

RE:

Shelley, Leanne and Robin, I have enough boobage for you all...here ya go!:7 They are actually "store-bought".But you all already knew that.;) Wish I hadn't bought them so big though, never realize their size until I see a pic of myself.I used to have naturally large one, but they went away and started to sag, so I got the ole "lift and fill". They make clothing choices very interesting.

Robin, I love a woman with a healthy lower half...so be proud! I have huge thighs really, they are so NOT slim. I am working on their shape, but slim thighs? HA!:7 My dream lower half is either a version of JLo's with the big ole bootay, or Heidi Klum, with her longer than life skinny legs and wider hips. Oh, well, at least I am healthy, thank god for that.

Shelley, that sounds like a crap first impression. How very bitchy of her. I often wondered about the road trip, all that estrogen in one room, were there any like "cattiness" trips happening? I hate that so much, women can be so mean to each other, I simply have never understood it.However, I am glad Leanne had a good experience with her...very cool. Oh and pasta too?:p

Well, the captain and Mitch, my DH are out lunching, I sent them on their way, he had to be back to the airport, and DH loves to drive in his convertible, so there isn't alot of room for three people. I figured it would give Mitch a chance to chat some more.
I had planned to "cheat" today with a big bowl of ice cream, but when I went to the store they were out of my fave, took this as a sign!:-(
Maybe tomorrow....all my cleaning is done, and I think I will settle in with my trashy novel, its so bad, I cannot believe I am actually finishing it..

RE:

Hi....just running by for a second..

Tneah:
Thanks for the nutrition info!

The puppies in Illinois were born on Friday.....here is a link:

http://afterallwirefoxterriers.com/

One "extra" as the sonogram only showed 6 and there were actually 7. Maybe this is a sign for us...4 boys and 3 girls..I e-mailed her today to remind her were were still interested, even though she does not have our name on the list.. maybe someone else will back out..I can only hope! :)

RE:_melting Sunday.

Hello Melters.

Deb-Your puppies are cute!!!

Tneah-Send some extra my way too, I could use more on top. And, is this captain single? Cute?

Shelley, Lainie-I do like Amy Bento's ACS2. Road trip 05, I would question her integrity and business ethics for attending the road trip knowing she had a signed contract. If the roles were reversed, what would happen. I remember alot of chatter in the forums after the roadtrip about her attendence. So, that's how I first heard of her from. I read in another forum, there might be a roadtrip again.

No workouts today, I was going to do ACS2 on the step but that will wait till Monday or Tues nights.

Have a Great Night.

RE:_melting Sunday.

Hi melter gals. I'm late checking in but it's been a busy weekend. Yesterday I took my mother to a quilt show in Lancaster PA. I didn't workout yesterday but I think I walked 10 miles at the show! Then when I got home I took the dog for a nice long walk because it was a fairly pretty day. Today is usually a rest day for me but I ended up doing Body Max 2, then followed that with 'Income Tax Max' and more family tree research.

Deb: New Castle is about 10 minutes away from me. If you do come this direction, you gotta at least take a side trip to Cathe's gym! (and if you need someone to go with you......lol). Also, today I was reading all the rave reviews about Christi Taylor's latest on the Collage website. I'm still going to wait until it goes on discount before I buy.

Tneah: Yay, Captain Vodka is gone! How did he take the news? Hope the new guy works out for you. I will take you up on your offer for skin products. Thank you so much! I'll pm or email you my snail mail address.

Leanne: In your pictures, was that the whole crew that went to work out with Amy? It looks like you really got some one on one with her! I almost didn't recognize her with her new hairstyle.

Jennifer: ASC2 is on my short list to buy once I find it discounted somewhere. I still haven't mastered the original ASC yet! Oh, and all the way up to 15 minutes till earth hour I was still remembering to turn off my lights, then somehow I forgot to do it when 8pm rolled around.

Robin: Take care of that cold! And good for you for remembering to do the Earth Hour thing. We also have Baja on the short list for a trip in the fall. We can't seem to commit to where we're going, though.

Lainie: I loves my veggies but fried okra, bleech! I hear you about the designers not designing for the hourglass woman. Clothes that fit my waist are too tight on the bottom, but if I get something to fit my bottom the waist gapes.

Shelley: IMO, Christi Taylor's average intensity is along the lines of Step Blast. Of all her stuff I love her step videos the most. Others love her Hi/Lo. If you want a flavor of both and get a good value, then go for Fantastic Four. It has two complete hi/lo and two step workouts. If you like stepping best, then Totally Cool Step or Solid Gold Step are my personal faves.
