Melting on a Terrific Tuesday!

Is it ok if I start the thread today? I don't mean to overstep my boundaries... I've never started a thread before! I bet by the time I've posted this Deb or Shell will have already started it....ok....here goes nothin'.....

WOW. It doesn't look like anyone else has started it. Hmmm....WAKE UP!!!!

I'm headed down to the basement for PUB. I feel much better today. I got home from work yesterday and took a nap and felt so much better when I woke up. Something came over me and I vaccuumed, dusted, changed the cat's litter, took out the trash, and cleaned the fridge. Yikes. I woke up a few minutes ago feelin' pretty darn good!

Ok, I'm off. See y'all lata! (I'm so Texan!!) ;)

Um, helloooooooooooooooo out there!!!!!!!!

Is anyone up?!?!? Where my Melty Beyotches at!?!?!?

*pouts* Fine. I'll just go take a shower. I guess no one wants to play. Hmph. :p

I'm here...I'm here!

Good morning Allision and all that follow!

Yes Allision it is fine if you start the thread...makes me feel less guilty when I havn't gotten here early enough!;)..glad to hear you are feeling better today!

I did I-Tread #26 (30 min) ..."fast & flat" as Grace says! She lies though because she does make you use a 1% incline for a bunch of it!

Peggie:
I like the Lauren DVD...I did the sculpting workout...if I had to critique, I wish she had put a 2-3 minute warmup before she starts using the KB, otherwise I like it a lot! Major DOMS in my legs! Good luck on that search..yuk!

Shelly:
How is that vacation going! :D...you lucky girl you! :p

Shannon:
Got all my yard work done? are you serious? LOL.....new cars are such fun!

Lainie:
I had DH take my HRM to the watch store and they put a new battery in it...that was all it was, thank goodness! I don't think I could do a workout without it...obsessed , I know!...Now for the serious stuff...you need to find out what is going on with you and this sleepiness...as all of us here said, this is not normal!

Kristi:
How cool is that ...Mom and the girls working out together! :D

Tneah:
I wear lifting gloves when I do the KB too..the "K's" are doing great, Keegan graduated in first place (out of 3 dogs!) last night in puppy class..we took pics and everything...I will try to post them when the teacher e-mails them to us..

Leanne:
Did Lauren's DVD come yesterday?

Kara:
:(..sorry about the injury..please take it easy!

BG:
Yeah for you and Mr Trainerman! We are all here to support you!:D..better you than me...just kidding!

Robin:
Hi! How nice that you could stop by and say Hello!

Hi to anyone I missed!

Have a great day!

Deb

I'm here, I'm here! Why I'm up so dang early on vacay is beyond me, but there ya go.

Allie - of course it's okay if you start the thread! I'm glad you're feeling better and that you got a decent night's sleep! Do you go heavier than Cathe on PUB?

Deb - I'm really glad that your HRM only needed a new battery. I haven't worn mine in forever! Do you wear yours mostly for the calorie burn info or for other reasons? Hooray for Keegan graduating top of puppy class! Can't wait to see the pics.

Well, I have no idea what we're doing today. They're forecasting thunderstorms all day and I can believe it. It's like soup here it's so humid right now. Sophie wants to bake bread, so we'll do that. Maybe I'll check out what kid-friendly movies are out.

Hey again!

I can't believe I started the thread today! I just can't. It's so exciting!!! I feel like I'm all grown up!! :D;) hehe

Shelley: I'm so totally beyond jealous that you're on vay-cay right now. I'd give anything to just do what I want today. I have so much homework to do too and I keep putting it off. Have fun baking bread! Do you use a bread machine or do it all by hand? I love it when my sister bakes bread. Yum!! Have fun at the movies if you decide to go! I LOVE the movies!! Oh, and I don't really go heavier than Cathe on PUB. I go a teeny bit higher on shoulders and I use a heavy barbell for the back work (especially the pullovers) but that's it. I use the same as her for everything else.

Deb: I love iTread 26! I actually really like the new Flat and Fast one too. I absolutely detest hills so flat, fast runs are my faves! I'm glad your HRM is back up and working!

I added on the pushups from GS Chest and Tri's this morning after PUB and then the abs from KPC. My abs and arms are fried now. I love it!

I'll be back later, ok?!? Kishies to all! (I wish we still had the kissy smilie...:()

Gooooood Morning!

How are all of you fine Melters?

Allie - I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. You should still get blood work done or something. That fatigue thing happens way too often.

Deb - LOL - I'm sorry the yard work isn't done. Are you renovating, or just plain old back-breaking summer maintenance?

Shelley - Mmmmm!!! Bread! You know me and my carbs. :D So, what kind are you going to make?

Robin - let's see - yesterday you asked me about my truck. I still have it, but I'm going to sell it. Hopefully I can get more selling it myself than as a trade-in - trade-in value was just about $700! Keep on enjoying your vacation and don't worry about not working out. Consider it a rest week!

It looks like it's going to be another slow day at work. Maybe I'll look for a new hairstyle online. Anybody got any ideas for thick, curly, frizzy hair? One of these days I'm just going to say "to h*** with it and get a 1-inch buzz.

I did the weight work from 4DS LIS last night, but instead of the low impact cardio, which I hate, I did CC 4 for the first time. I had to cut it short to keep it within the 30-minute limit, but it was a pretty good workout. I have this crazy idea for next time: cut out all the steady states and just do the challenges. That should come pretty close to 30 minutes, I think.

Today is 4DS BC in its entirety. The cardio is way too much fun to skip on that one.

Good morning, ladies!

I set my alarm for 5:00 this morning so I can get up early and get used to the time difference. The thought of doing the Sunday 7:00 A. M. step class is scaring me since that is 4:00 my time!

So can I ask you ladies for some advice? BIL is supposed to get the key to his new apartment one week from today (VERY exciting and wonderful news), but he told DH that he didn't want to move until the weekend. Well, yesterday DH and I were talking, and I was thinking that it would be sooo nice if BIL could move next Tuesday or Wednesday. If he did, that would give us an extra half-week of summer vacation together; if BIL waited until the weekend to move, then we'd only have one last week left of being home with no guest. So do you think it would be awful if Mike told his brother that we want to help him move out once he gets the key, on either Tuesday or Wed. of next week?

Allie -- I'm here, I'm here! *Raises hand.* I want to play! :p Thanks for starting us off today. Hooray for feeling better and for starting us off this morning. Are you sure you shouldn't go see your Dr., though, just to make sure that you're alright?? Oh, and I forgot to tell you that I should have listened to you about going to Express ages ago. When I was at a mall this weekend, I saw those camis you mentioned, and they are so nice and thick! I need to run some errands today, and I'm going to go back and pick up a couple of them. I never checked them out, and they would have been the perfect thing for this summer with our house guest! :( I miss the kissing smiley, too!

Shelley -- I always get up early on vacation, too. I try to think of it as expanding the vacation day. ;) Baking bread and seeing a movie sounds like the perfect way to spend the day. Of course, I always love staying home during big storms since we get them so rarely here, so maybe you and Soph could snuggle up and watch something on the couch. Would she like that? I was thinking again of how cool it would be if you could come out to SD to visit. You could come stay with me, and we could visit Tneah on her lovely new boat!

Madonna -- Er, Kara! ;) Seriously, that is just sooooo cool that you have Madonna-esque arms! Her arms and Cathe's arms are my dream arms. Good luck with the hair today! You are just going to look so dang cute in that new haircut, and I know you've been wanting to get a pixie! We'll be the Short Hair Gals on the RT! :p

Robin -- Sounds like you won't get a chance to check in again, but it's so great to hear that you're having a wonderful time! Have fun kayaking!

Deb -- Glad you're liking the KB workouts! I use gloves, too, since the handle otherwise rubs my hands too much. Lauren's DVD did come, but I'm going to wait until after the RT to do it since I want to do all Cathe workouts this week. Congrats on Keegan doing so well in his puppy class! Definitely post the photos when you get them! It's so fun to see K. photos!

Peggie -- How was DH's dinner last night? Did you indulge a bit? I checked my airline's website to see what I could bring as a carry-on. It sounds like I can bring a small suitcase and one small "personal" bag, so I think that I'm going to bring my gym bag as my other carry on.

Lainie -- I think I'm actually going to do 4DS double cardio tomorrow, as I had planned. It's super dorky, but it's my newest fave cardio workout, and I thought it would be fun to do as my last workout to get all pumped up.

Kristi -- I know you haven't checked in yet this morning, but I had to save the pink color for you to say "hi"! You look soooo beautiful in your photos!!

Shannon -- You snuck in there on me, and now I can't put your name in a purty color. :-( I love your new quoute, but miss your yoda one. Hmm . . . I think you'd look great with any cut, although a short one is certainly easier to manage with straight hair . . . .

I think my oatmeal is ready, so I'd better go eat it. I'll BBL for sure to say "hi" to everyone else! Love and hugs!

Holy smokes--how did I miss that Leanne's BIL is moving out?!?!?!?!?!? YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leanne--tell your BIL to haul it ASAP. There's no reason why his a$$ needs to hang around longer than necessary when there's a perfectly good apartment waiting for him. He's already made you miserable enough!!!

I hope you like the Express Tank Tops! I'm wearing one right now. Dang, I love those things.

Oh no, wait. I'm wearing an Old Navy tank right now. whoops. Same thing, though. ;)

Leanne - Hmm. That's an interesting question about your BIL. My first thought is that I personally would prefer to move on a weekend, if I was working. I just hate doing big stuff like that in the evening after work. But I certainly can see your point. How much stuff does he have to move?

And ah, no, I would not look good in "any cut" as you said. :( My hair is a disaster. Short hair doesn't suit my face, and it's insanely hard to control when it's short. Long hair is easier to manage, simply because the weight pulls it down. But it always looks messy and totally not stylish. Basically what I do is try to fix it in the morning and then avoid all mirrors for the rest of the day.

Hi everyone. I’m having another rather tired day, but today is the day I see the doc about the fatigue, so at least I can tell her exactly how it feels. My appointment is at 10:45, which is a rather inconvenient time for me. I like to get stuff done in the morning if at all possible, but I’ll still have to go to Target afterward for prescriptions and you know I can’t just get prescriptions if I’ll be at Target…. I guess I’m not too tired if I can still shop, eh? I can tell you I wouldn’t be leaving the house at all today if I didn’t have the doctor appointment, but once I get out I’ll be able to keep going.

My boys are wearing stripey polo shirts today. I love them in those kind of shirts—I’ll probably take a pic later.

I’m not sure about my workout today—I was planning on doing 4DS Double Cardio with Leanne, but if you’re not doing that one until tomorrow, Leanne, I might wait until then, too. Maybe I’ll just do some yoga today. Or Nap Max.

Allie, good to see you’re feeling better today. Hmm, all that cleaning? Is Aunt Flow due soon? I know that’s when I get the super-cleaning bug. I hope Aunt Flow gets to my house soon because I don’t want to take her along on the RT! The boys are watching Tigger and Pooh now and when I saw Eeyore, I thought of you. :) That’s good, though, because I think Eeyore is adorable, even when sad. I was thinking how funny it is that you described yourself as being down a lot, but you have such a gorgeous smile. I on the other hand am happy a lot, but I have an awful smile (though the braces should help that eventually) and I usually have a serene but not happy-looking expression on my face. I actually used to always have people telling me to smile all the time. It got to be a pet peeve when someone (usually someone I hardly knew) would order me to “Smile!” I usually felt perfectly happy until commanded to smile. So, anyway, just thinking of you and your lovely smile. :D

Deb, yes, Mom, I’m seeing the doc today. :p Glad you got your HRM fixed up. I have my new pink F6 and I love it! Hooray for top doggy Keegan!

Shelley, hope you find something wonderful and relaxing to do with your muggy stormy day.

Shannon, I can’t believe you hate that 4DS LIS cardio—I love it. I love the HIS, too, can’t decide which is more fun. No hair advice. I hardly do anything with mine in the summer. Mine is fine rather than thick, but I have a lot of it and it’s poofy and wavy. The Texas hairdressers seemed to love it and I always walked out of the salons patting it down after the Texafied it. I always have to either curl it or straighten it to get it to look like less of a mess, but in the summer I mainly just pull it up in a ponytail or a clip. I’m afraid I’ll be all about the ponytail at the RT this weekend.

Leanne, like I said somewhere ^^^, I think I’ll wait and do 4DS Double Cardio with you tomorrow. You’re right--we should do the most fun workout last! I hope ya’ll can sweetly convince BIL to get his butt on out. I can’t understand not wanting to move ASAP if he has the free time to do it. I am always eager to get on to the next place myself.

I posted rather late last night, so I think I’m all caught up. Hope to BBL to report what the doc says. Hope she doesn’t just say “You’re fine; you’re just lazy.”

Lainie-Loo,
I can't wait to hear what the Dr. says. Make sure she/he tests you for Lyme Disease and talk to her about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ok? I know my constant fatigue is mainly due to the Obstructive Sleep Apnea that I have. Although it's getting better. I used to have to wear that freaky mask at night with the oxygen container next to my bed. Sexy, right? I returned it after about 8 months though when I decided it really wasn't doing anything and I couldn't afford renting that useless thing at $300 a month. I made a major life change about two weeks ago though that I think is really helping with the fatigue. Things are looking up. :) I'll tell you all more later when I have the time. And balls to confess it....

Back to work.

Morning All!:D

Allison, thank you for starting our thread this AM darlin'! See? You Texans are gettin' to me you are! Nice job with the workout and clean-up...I still would like to see you get a full panel blood thing done, just to be on the safe side. So you eat enough? I too think low blood sugar might be the culprit?

Shelley, yeah for baking bread! I have been known to bake from scratch, fresh challah bread for DH, but have not done it in a long time...and now that he is "doing" Atkins, I wouldn't torture him like that! Sounds like you and Sophie have a nice cozy day planned...funny those are the times after you grow up that you remember as a kid, just spending time with mom or dad baking, watching movies, talking...Sophie is a lucky kid.;)

Deb, oh I knew it! Keegan is number one in show!:DYeah Keegan! Please post pics, and I know what you mean about your legs hurting after Lauren..yeah, I am feeling it today from the running and the Lauren!

Leanne, oh please woman, out with BIL, out with him already! Have DH tell him ASAP and then be done with it. You and Mike deserve alone time for heavens sake, then go pick up some thigh high black boots and make a night of celebration!:p *wishes there was the evil smiley*

Shannon, I am loving your new quote, its soo true actually, I will try and remember it when I want to eat something "bad" or whenever I feel tempted to do something that isn't the best thing for me. That is a very cool quote. Do not cut that beautiful hair, find someone who specializes in thick curls and get it cut and styled in a way you can duplicate at home. You might have to pay a bit more, but then you have a workable 'style". This coming from Miss Ponytail girl...

Lainie, thank goodness you get to talk to your doctor, mention chronic fatigue to her and see what she says, I do not know how they test for these things, but its worth a shot, we are worried about you! Loving the image of the boys in their preppy polo shirts.:D

So every body part hurts this morning as predicted. Hope to work out the kinks with CC7 today...but we have to do this weird tradition thing with the boat this morning called "getting". It is where the new owner has their captain come onboard and take the boat out three miles, you sign the boat over to the new owner, then they take the boat back to the slip. Its a strange thing to me, but it means I am stuck onboard with no gym access this morning..oh well, thats okay, will shower, stretch and relax I suppose.

BBL to chat with the rest of you lovelies! Thanks Robin for checking in yesterday cause we miss you!

OMG, I just found the best elliptical on craigslist.org. It's $125 but it doesn't have an adjustable incline. Hmmmm....should I get it?!?!? I REALLY want an elliptical to do my Cardio Coach's. Hmmmm......

Kristi--you have a super special package coming your way! Keep an eye out for it. It's shipping today.... :)

Lanie - I'm glad you're seeing the doc about fatigue. Give us a full report! You know, I've had people tell me the same thing about smiling. Just because I don't walk around all day with a grin on my face doesn't mean I'm not happy, right??? Sheesh.

Allie - First, I keep forgetting to ask you if you like "Allie" or if you prefer "Allison." Sorry about that. It sounds like you're really working to make things better for yourself! I'm so glad.

Tneah - Ugh. I'm sorry you hurt. I'm thinking that stretch and relax idea sounds like a good one. CC 7 might be a bit tough on your hips, don't you think? I actually have a pretty good stylist, though maybe not as great as those in New York and other fancy places. She doesn't specialize in curls, but she keeps current on them, know what I mean? A big problem for me is that I simply hate to put "stuff" on my hair. I don't use any styling gels, sprays, nothing. So I'm pretty much stuck with whatever my hair wants to do on its own.

Well, I gave up looking for hair styles after about 10 minutes. Everything I could find was ... well, they all actually style their hair with irons, gels, etc. So what's the point? I'd never do it!

Instead, I looked up drough-resistant plants and found a really cool Web site called Home High Country Gardens. I got some great ideas!!! I think I'm going to visit a local nursery and see what they carry, and start planning for next year. I really need some tougher plants to survive this heat. But I want them to look pretty!

Hello, lovelies,
I'm getting a late start today -- I don't really know why. I did B&G stab. ball abs & 4DS Back & Bis premix.

Allison -- Wow, you started us off today; you're awesome! I'm glad you are feeling better. You can definitely be an honorary Texan b/c you spelled y'all correctly! AWESOME workout -- you are a machine!:D Now "Cowgirl up" and tell us your big life change news!!!

Deb -- Yea for legs DOMS!! That's so cute that Keegan was valedictorian of his puppy class! Can't wait to see pics!

Shelley -- sorry about the gross weather. Homemade bread sounds yummy!

Shannon -- is your commute more pleasant in your new car? Sorry you didn't have any hairstyle luck! Please don't go with the 1 inch buzz just yet.

Peggie -- how did the packing trial run go?

Leanne -- YEA on BIL's apt!!! Definitely have DH kick (politely nudge ;)) his butt out the door!!!! Don't go overboard working out today and tomorrow. You'll get plenty this weekend. THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME PINK -- LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!

Tneah -- That boat tradition sounds interesting; when will you move on to the new one? Have you sold the other one? (sorry if I missed all this somewhere along the way)

Kara -- Hope your hair situation gets worked out all purty today.:p

BG -- so what does Mr. Trainer have on the schedule for today?

Lainie -- I hope the dr. gives you some helpful advice! I'm with you -- smiling is not my natural facial inclination; in fact, I usually look too serious or mad. I should probably work on that. Allie does have a gorgeous smile.

Robin -- Hi!!!! Good to see you! Did you see the pic of you, me, and Allie that I posted on Thurs. or Fri. You definitely have to -- it's cute! Let me know if you need me to email it to you! Keep having fun! Big {{{{HUGS}}}}!

Okay, I'm going to go back and read the later posts from yesterday.
I'll be back! (could you hear my Arnold S. imitation there?)

Ugh! I'm so frustrated right now! I bought a magnetic clasp to put on that bracelet I made for Cathe, and I just spent the last hour trying to position it in a good spot. I had to do a lot of ripping out, and am not sure if it looks alright. I just don't want to give her something that looks super crappy, ya know? Should I try to post a photo of it later?

Allie -- You're soooo cute!! Yes, he's moving out, but can't get the keys to his new apartment until next Tuesday. So, are the Old Navy tanks the same thickness as the Express ones? (I don't want any "show through"!) If so, I may head to Old Navy today since they're much cheaper there! Now wait a second -- I just read what you said about the life change. WHAT'S UP, CUTIE??? You HAVE to tell us!!!!

Shannon -- Yes, I totally understand that BIL wouldn't want to move after a work day, but it would make a HUUUGE difference as far as Mike and I have some time off ALONE this summer. BIL has hardly any furniture, so it would be a really quick move. Sorry that you didn't find any cute haircuts on-line, but how great that you found some plants. The nice thing about long hair is that you can always pull it back!

Lainie -- Keep us posted on what the Dr. says, OK? I'm worried about you with that tiredness! Yes, post a photo of the boys when you get a chance! I'd love to join you in Nap Max today, but I need to try to get to bed early so I can prepare for the time change. And you are sooooo NOT lazy!! Are you kidding me?! Chasing around two little cutie pies all day, in addition to your kick-butt workouts, would be enough to wipe anyone out!

Tneah -- I miss the devilish smile, too. Sniff, sniff. Yes, I think I will have Mike talk to Eric about moving out during the week next week. You know what? He actually said "thank you" last night for the dinner I made! I think that was maybe the second time in the last six weeks that he's actually said "thank you" for something! I've never heard of that "getting" thing with the boats! How interesting! Sounds like a day of relaxing and stretching would be perfect for you after running yesterday. Take it easy today, OK?

Kristi -- I was going to do B&G today to get my legs ready for this weekend, but think that I'll be doing Imax 2 instead. It fries my legs, and is fun! Can't beat that, right? Of course I had to save pink for you!! :D

OK, off to workout and then I have a million errands to run today! I'll be back (also said in the "Governator," as we, oh, so affectionately refer to him in CA [ha ha], voice).

Aw, thanks for the compliments on my smile, guys! That's so sweet!! I'm blushing over here.... It's funny because I've always hated my smile. I have no top lip and I think it's hideous. I've always wanted to get collagen injections for my lips. I used to be obsessed with finding lip plumpers at drug stores but nothing's worked. I've pretty much mastered a way of smiling that makes my lips look a little bit bigger. Sheesh, the things we all obsess about, huh? Crazy, I tell you. I want lips like Cathe's!!!!!

Tneah--bad girl running yesterday!! I hope your muscle aches heel soon. My knees have been hurting lately so I'm trying not to run. I'm house sitting for my friend again this week with Jim and they have an elliptical so I'm excited to use that!! Have fun on the boat! Boaters have such funny traditions, don't they? :D Gotta love 'em.

Shannon--good luck with the hair! I think it looks b-e-a-uuuuuuuutiful in your avatar. :) You can call me Allie or Allison or whatever else strikes your fancy. I've been called worse, don't worry. ;) I always introduce myself as Allison and let people take it from there. Everyone at work calls me Allie. I like it. It's kind of a like a term of endearment to me. People who like me call me Allie. :) hehe
