I'm BACK!
Hi, girls --
I'm finally back to play with you! I finished my directory project yesterday! YIPPEE!!! Where has this week gone??? I went all the way back to last Wed. and read ALL of your posts since then so I'd be back in the Melty loop with all of you! I'm sorry this is a novel, but I'm making up for lost time. It took me FOREVER to read all the threads I missed. Also, forgive the rambling and disjointed nature of it.
Today I'm starting 4DS rotation with HIS circuit + B&G abs. Unfortunately, my wrist still hurts -- damn carry-on luggage!
I'm sorry I haven't gotten my pics from RT up yet. I'll try to do that soon. It takes me forever to put them on Picturetrail -- there must be an easier way than how I do it. Anybody have any suggestions?
Our family portrait went really well on Wed, and my dad's last day was yesterday. They left on their RT to Canada today. We have their dog until the 20th. The girls are doing most of the care, but they aren't home today -- they are at my MIL's doing school clothes shopping for their birthday. We'll pick them up tomorrow.
Robin -- how are you doing with the antibiotics? When is VBS? I just got to your comments about meeting me -- thank you so much! It was an absolute pleasure to meet you, too, and I'd love to spend more time with you! I have a cute pic of you, me, & Allie -- I think I actually attached it to this post, but, if not, I'll try to get my act together later and email it to you -- I still owe you an email. Have a blast at the beach!!!!
Shelley -- Did you get the KBs at Target??? I so want them, but I've spent way too much on workouts lately, and I got 3 more at RT. What are your vacation plans? Getting hit on by a younger man is AWESOME -- you go, girl!!!!
Deb -- My entire experience with the WM consists of signing DH up as a forum member and helping him do his 1RM test for a barbell curl. Then we got bored. I guess we'll wait and do it in earnest when we thing STS is nearly on the way. How do you like your KB? Did you get a new DVD yet?
Peggie -- I envy your garden -- it sounds lovely.
Allison -- When I read your posts now, I can hear your voice in my head. Is that weird? Any fun weekend plans??? I think you are bubbly and delightful!!! So, there -- forget about the pessimism! Sorry about the bug bites -- I agree with Robin that they bit you because you are so sweet.

Your co-worker sounds creepy.
Kara -- I can totally sympathize with the Mom-Taxi syndrome! My girls start driver's ed on Monday -- OMG! Lord, help me! How can my babies be on the verge of driving??? I also feel your pain on the Disney obsession -- it is finally waning in our house; my girls actually thought Camp Rock was sort of stupid, but one of them still likes the Jonas Bros. This past school year, there was a movie filmed at my girls' high school starring Vanessa Hudgens (from HSM) and Lisa Kudrow. I can't remember the name right now, but I'll try to remember to ask the girls and let you know. That brain tumor study sounds interesting; I used to do some toxic tort litigation having to do with birth defects. It'll be interesting to see if they find that the environment is the cause.
Lainie -- Have you ever adapted any Cathe workouts on your Bosu? You are going to be adorable at RT! Cute purse! Wow -- good job on the fridge cleaning! I'm really sorry you are so tired!
Leanne -- I hope you have a great time beading in LA! Hey, I bought "One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich in the Houston airport to kill time. I chose it since you and others rave about those books. It's great, but I just have a really hard time making time to read for pleasure -- I feel guilty b/c there's always something else I could be doing. Sounds like BIL is still being a pain in the a@#, but I'm glad he's looking for an apt!
Tneah -- Congrats on the boat -- redecorating it sounds like fun! It is awesome!!! NO WORRIES about bragging; I never get that vibe from you -- you and your DH have worked hard, and it is perfectly fine to share your excitement and enthusiasm!!! You are just lovely -- so kind and generous and supportive and positive!!! This is my favorite Mother Teresa quote: "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. " You mentioned looking heiferish along side Cathe's crew -- I literally sat down on a table in my picture with them -- they stood, I sat, and we were all the same height!! Behemoth is the word that kept coming to mind to describe myself!!! So many of Cathe's moves just aren't cute at 5'9"! Cedie said she got a pool this year -- she was VERY tan!
Breckie -- You could TOTALLY go to a Road Trip and have a blast. I am sooooo introverted, and I met lots of people and had the best time. Everyone is so nice, and they just make it really easy. I was VERY hesitant to go, but my DH strongly encouraged me to do it, and I'm really glad that I did. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but, if you think you might like it in the future, don't let shyness or introversion stand in your way. LOTS of people there are in the same boat. When do you actually start with Mr. Trainerman? LOL at your cat story!!! OMG, I can't believe you went to someone from Shear Genius -- which one??? How was it??? I agree totally -- no "mom hair."
Shannon -- YEA for your car being here!!!!! I'm glad you worked things out with your nasty co-worker. I really don't understand nasty people -- I say what I think, but I try not to be unkind. I'm glad your back didn't have a real problem last night! Sorry it's a slow day -- it'll really be hard to wait now since you get to go get your car!
Hey, August RT'ers, I sent Leanne a few tips earlier this week. If you want me to forward them to you, PM me or email me. It's nothing big -- just things that I thought might be helpful based on my experience as a first timer. And if you've been before, you already know the drill.
Now, here's my 2 cents on Pita Chips -- I love them, but I love any kind of chips!!!!! They are definitely my go-to food if I've had a couple of glasses of wine -- in fact, that's how my DH knows I've probably had more than enough. At least Pita Chips are WAY better than a whole lot of other chips out there! Life is short -- enjoy the fu@*in' pita chips -- breakfast, lunch, AND dinner!!!! But, I also agree that I need to clean up my own eating a bit -- I'll use BG for my inspiration, too.
