MELTING Friday

Just a little excited for Shannon!:D New car smells-yummy! I know you are so excited, you are gonna love it!

Thanks guys, I sometimes worry how I "come off" when I do stuff, I appreciate your sweetness.

LOL Robin! That is hilarious about the "party boat!" :D

I did a Spinervals workout followed by P90X legs and back and that was waaay to long to be working out, let me tell ya. Shelley, you are right on about the leg workout though, seriously! I have not tried it since I got the new hip so was pleasantly surprised at how difficult it was!

Lainie, yep, I think Shannon might be right, chronic fatigue....or what Robin mentioned, lyme disease which is more common than one might think, or at least this is what I have read about it. Worth checking into! LOL about DH's boat comment, that is so funny.:)

Peggy, ahhh sunshine!

BG, see? You are inspiring all of us to "clean it up"...you are in good company round here for sure!

Hi to Leanne who is probably blissfully beading away right now..Kristi, got your email darlin' and thanks for the address, just let me know when you need stuff kay?

Alright, need to go get my car washed and the rest of my stuff ready to go back to SD tomorrow morning! I am so happy to get out of dodge, man its wicked hot here, like piercing hot.

Peggie - just Google the Honda Fit. That's what I'm getting, in the Tidewater Blue color.

Yay Shannon! I'm so excited for you!

I swear my moods change so quickly. I'm crabby now. This girl I work with took forever in the bathroom and I had to pee really bad and so now I'm cranky. You would not believe the story behind this girl who was in the bathroom forever. Ok, ya ready? Here goes....

She is married to the CFO's nephew. She's around 31 years old and has a 15 year old daughter and a 13 year old son. And every day during lunch she and another guy who work in our warehouse go do the nasty in his car in the parking lot of our office. Yep, that's right. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!?!?! It's blatantly obvious that they're doing what they're doing. He has a big SUV with tinted windows, but, um, ahem, everyone's seen them. And the CFO is well aware too. Can you say AWKWARD?!?!?! And then once lunch is over (1pm) this girl then proceeds to go, um, well, let's just say she goes to "wash up" in the bathroom. There's ONE ladies room for the whole office. And she was in there today for 28 minutes! I swear I almost had tears running down my face I had to pee so bad. I would have used the men's room but the door doesn't lock and it's just plain nasty in there. Can you believe the nerve of this girl?!?!? She's very nice but just really gross. The whole thing is totally disgusting. How completely innapropriate. You'd think that she and this guy could at least drive to another parking lot to do their "business" right?!?!?

Ugh. Ok, now I feel sooooooooooooooooo much better. Thanks for letting me rant.

I'm gonna have to get on the treadmill tonight before I meet my Dad for dinner. I need Grace to help me work off some of this anxiety.

Oh, and Tneah don't be silly! Of course we don't think you're gloating about your fancy new boat! It's so exciting! Everytime one of us buys something new or does something fun or exciting we like to tell everyone else. I'm so thrilled for you--really! The boat is just stunningly beautiful. I'm so happy for you and your DH! :):):):)

Eek. I missed Robin's post about Lyme disease. Lanie, do you have ticks out your way? I know a woman who has it and went untreated, not realizing what was wrong. She's on disability now, can't work, can't do much of anything. It ruined her life. Be careful.

Allie - Ugh. That's fairly gross.

Tneah - how hot is it up there? Here's our forecast: Saturday -100; Sunday - 102; Monday - 103. I'm thinking about taking a nice, cool trip to Antarctica.

Time is creeping. I need something to do.

Lainie--I agree this fatigue thing is just getting out of control. You MUST demand answers from your Doc asap. Chronic Fatigue could really be the problem. Or Fibromyalgia. Google them both. Or Lyme Disease. I don't want to scare you but it's important you find out what's going on, girlie! We worry about you and love you and just want you to feel better, k?

ETA: here's some info for ya on Fibromyalgia. :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia

Real quick:

YAYYYYY SHANNON!!!!!

Peggie - mmmmmmm Cheez-Its.
Allison - icky poo. That's just skanky gross.
Tneah - nice workout, chica! It's freakishly hot here too - and in lead attire... well, I ain't so purty, lemme jes say dat.
Robin - yayy for groovy chicks at work! Have fun on your beachy vacay! I hope I get back into my groove, but I won't really have a choice. Will I?

BBL - gotta go sling some barium.

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE'RE BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!

No full body cavity searches at the border today, thank God. I just wasn't in the mood. ;)

Shannon - WHOO HOOOO on the car!

Tneah - of course we don't think you're bragging! And by the way.... I got your package. You are the most generous, wonderful friend! Thank you so much. I can't even believe you did that. It made me cry. Then again, what the hell doesn't make me cry these days?

Allie - okay, that's just bloody wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. I'm no saint, but that's beyond the pale. Wow.

I can't really remember anything else. We shopped. Sophie got the cutest pink sparkley high tops and some jeans and t-shirt and a TON of back to school stuff. I didn't get much. Some make-up and a few scrapbooking things. We're both wiped out. We ate lunch at Applebee's. How can people eat there? I had to highly modify one of their salads and everything was just LADEN with fat and calories. Ugh.

All right, I'm off to work out!

I'm BACK!

Hi, girls --
I'm finally back to play with you! I finished my directory project yesterday! YIPPEE!!! Where has this week gone??? I went all the way back to last Wed. and read ALL of your posts since then so I'd be back in the Melty loop with all of you! I'm sorry this is a novel, but I'm making up for lost time. It took me FOREVER to read all the threads I missed. Also, forgive the rambling and disjointed nature of it.

Today I'm starting 4DS rotation with HIS circuit + B&G abs. Unfortunately, my wrist still hurts -- damn carry-on luggage!

I'm sorry I haven't gotten my pics from RT up yet. I'll try to do that soon. It takes me forever to put them on Picturetrail -- there must be an easier way than how I do it. Anybody have any suggestions?

Our family portrait went really well on Wed, and my dad's last day was yesterday. They left on their RT to Canada today. We have their dog until the 20th. The girls are doing most of the care, but they aren't home today -- they are at my MIL's doing school clothes shopping for their birthday. We'll pick them up tomorrow.

Robin -- how are you doing with the antibiotics? When is VBS? I just got to your comments about meeting me -- thank you so much! It was an absolute pleasure to meet you, too, and I'd love to spend more time with you! I have a cute pic of you, me, & Allie -- I think I actually attached it to this post, but, if not, I'll try to get my act together later and email it to you -- I still owe you an email. Have a blast at the beach!!!!

Shelley -- Did you get the KBs at Target??? I so want them, but I've spent way too much on workouts lately, and I got 3 more at RT. What are your vacation plans? Getting hit on by a younger man is AWESOME -- you go, girl!!!!

Deb -- My entire experience with the WM consists of signing DH up as a forum member and helping him do his 1RM test for a barbell curl. Then we got bored. I guess we'll wait and do it in earnest when we thing STS is nearly on the way. How do you like your KB? Did you get a new DVD yet?

Peggie -- I envy your garden -- it sounds lovely.

Allison -- When I read your posts now, I can hear your voice in my head. Is that weird? Any fun weekend plans??? I think you are bubbly and delightful!!! So, there -- forget about the pessimism! Sorry about the bug bites -- I agree with Robin that they bit you because you are so sweet.:) Your co-worker sounds creepy.

Kara -- I can totally sympathize with the Mom-Taxi syndrome! My girls start driver's ed on Monday -- OMG! Lord, help me! How can my babies be on the verge of driving??? I also feel your pain on the Disney obsession -- it is finally waning in our house; my girls actually thought Camp Rock was sort of stupid, but one of them still likes the Jonas Bros. This past school year, there was a movie filmed at my girls' high school starring Vanessa Hudgens (from HSM) and Lisa Kudrow. I can't remember the name right now, but I'll try to remember to ask the girls and let you know. That brain tumor study sounds interesting; I used to do some toxic tort litigation having to do with birth defects. It'll be interesting to see if they find that the environment is the cause.

Lainie -- Have you ever adapted any Cathe workouts on your Bosu? You are going to be adorable at RT! Cute purse! Wow -- good job on the fridge cleaning! I'm really sorry you are so tired!

Leanne -- I hope you have a great time beading in LA! Hey, I bought "One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich in the Houston airport to kill time. I chose it since you and others rave about those books. It's great, but I just have a really hard time making time to read for pleasure -- I feel guilty b/c there's always something else I could be doing. Sounds like BIL is still being a pain in the a@#, but I'm glad he's looking for an apt!

Tneah -- Congrats on the boat -- redecorating it sounds like fun! It is awesome!!! NO WORRIES about bragging; I never get that vibe from you -- you and your DH have worked hard, and it is perfectly fine to share your excitement and enthusiasm!!! You are just lovely -- so kind and generous and supportive and positive!!! This is my favorite Mother Teresa quote: "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much. " You mentioned looking heiferish along side Cathe's crew -- I literally sat down on a table in my picture with them -- they stood, I sat, and we were all the same height!! Behemoth is the word that kept coming to mind to describe myself!!! So many of Cathe's moves just aren't cute at 5'9"! Cedie said she got a pool this year -- she was VERY tan!

Breckie -- You could TOTALLY go to a Road Trip and have a blast. I am sooooo introverted, and I met lots of people and had the best time. Everyone is so nice, and they just make it really easy. I was VERY hesitant to go, but my DH strongly encouraged me to do it, and I'm really glad that I did. If it's not your thing, it's not your thing, but, if you think you might like it in the future, don't let shyness or introversion stand in your way. LOTS of people there are in the same boat. When do you actually start with Mr. Trainerman? LOL at your cat story!!! OMG, I can't believe you went to someone from Shear Genius -- which one??? How was it??? I agree totally -- no "mom hair."

Shannon -- YEA for your car being here!!!!! I'm glad you worked things out with your nasty co-worker. I really don't understand nasty people -- I say what I think, but I try not to be unkind. I'm glad your back didn't have a real problem last night! Sorry it's a slow day -- it'll really be hard to wait now since you get to go get your car!

Hey, August RT'ers, I sent Leanne a few tips earlier this week. If you want me to forward them to you, PM me or email me. It's nothing big -- just things that I thought might be helpful based on my experience as a first timer. And if you've been before, you already know the drill.

Now, here's my 2 cents on Pita Chips -- I love them, but I love any kind of chips!!!!! They are definitely my go-to food if I've had a couple of glasses of wine -- in fact, that's how my DH knows I've probably had more than enough. At least Pita Chips are WAY better than a whole lot of other chips out there! Life is short -- enjoy the fu@*in' pita chips -- breakfast, lunch, AND dinner!!!! But, I also agree that I need to clean up my own eating a bit -- I'll use BG for my inspiration, too.;)

The picture

Robin -- I swear I attached this photo, but that gigantically long post took me sooooooo long, who knows where the photo ended up. I'm trying again.

Hey everyone. Just finished Lauren's KB workout. I think I might die. Seriously, my head is throbbing and my arms are shaking. I better go eat a recovery shake, or I guess that would be drink a recovery shake. See . . . I'm all fu*#ed up.

BBL

Kristi - Great picture of you guys. Please send me the tips. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Peggy, get some food--STAT-using Robin's word there! Sounds like you have low blood sugar darlin'. Do you eat a little something beforehand? I always get a protein in before a workout otherwise, forget about it.Now I cannot wait to do Lauren's video!

Kristi! Yeah for RT photos in which you look fabulous dear! Pretty lady, so good to see you! And Robin and Alli ain't too shabby either! So happy you are back chica, we missed you. OH NO! Not you too with the drivers ed?? I wish you luck with that...are your girls beside themselves excited? I was terrified of driving and wanted to actually wait, can you imagine, I was a weird kid.LOL at your wine plus chips deal, guess what?? I am the exact same way, get a few glasses of the good stuff in me and the next thing you know I am rummaging around looking for pretzels, anything crunchy,salty...oh and Cedie did look ultra tan!

BG, Yum...I love those frappe drinks, I couldn't spell it right, so I "abbreviated"...we are all getting excited for you to start your program...I made a deal with myself that on Monday, its time to buckle down a little harder...but until then? Well, I will not go overboard, but not gonna wory bout it, I have after all been working out like a mad woman..

Shellers, wow, you got it already? yippeee! I just wanted to shower you with a little loves is all!:D

Uh, Trader Joes has reduced calorie/fat pita chips for f%^sake! Who knew??? Well ya do now! And yeah, I bought some, and yeah, they are freaking fantastic! OMG fantastic, not super hard like the Athena brand, just right. No, I did not eat the whole bag, I used moderation and enjoyed two handfuls. I am a carb craving cutie boy, let me tell ya.

OK, so my housekeeper just came in and shared that she had lost 40 pounds since New Year's, she is so happy and I can really tell that she has lost weight, I am very happy for her. She was telling me how she has way more energy now and can play with her kids, etc...she probably has about 40 more at least to go, but gosh, I have been harboring such ill will towards them and now I feel so bad I have been so resentful over their little comments.

Sorry, I just had to clear that off my chest and get it out there. I understand that its hard to be that overweight, work really hard and be dieting at the same time, I am cutting them some slack, its always better to love and forgive then harbor ill will. There. I feel better now.:p
