"MELTING" Away on the Weekend!

RE:

Good Morning:)

Glad its Sunday--finally. Sounds like you all were busy yesterday!

Robin, your weekend sounded like so much fun. Now I understand what the Ring of Fire is!:7 The flowering trees sound so pretty. We have oleanders that bloom here in Vegas, very pretty, but along with the blooms come the mice and rats. The rodents came in from some stupid shiek who brought in a bunch of infested trees to plant on his property, and now Vegas has a ton of rodents. It sickens me, we have a terminator guy come out once a month though. Your fried foods sound yummy. Monday is a new day...

Deb, exciting news on the puppy front! I totally understand about getting the right "fit". That is how our breeder did it. And Georgie is perfect for us.

Shelley, Sophie's first sleepover? That is so cute, I bet she had fun, but I bet you were worried huh? I hate it when Georgie has the runs, especially on the boat! I agree that rice is the best thing after a "runny bout". I just tossed a bunch of older workout clothes, I need to rethink some of my stuff, I have a hard time letting go of clothes, probably because of my past. And I never let shoes or handbags go, that would be criminal.:p

Jennifer, rest, and then rest some more. Your poor ankle. The travel shows sound cool, I watch the Foodnetwork all the time. I love to watch Paula Deen, Nigella Lawson and Ina Garten.

Leanne, sounds like your Shape deal went well and was so much fun! The dancing sounds super fun. Did I tell you all that I used to bellydance? I need to start that back up again, I used to do it at art festivals and stuff in SLC.

Shannon, you paint??:) That is so great, I love watercolors, I have used them only once though. I usually stick to acrylics, but have painted with oils and oil pastels too. Have a fun and creative day!

Hi to Lainie....Sunday is brunch day, not sure where we are going though and cheat day! Think I might weigh myself too, just to see whats happening. I am not gonna freak because I know this has been a really screwed week with the tooth and antibiotics and all.

RE:

Drinking my protein shake...so I always come back to see whats up.

This is weird, I got on the scale and lost 3 pounds since my last weigh-in. It is probably due to the fact I did not lift this week, and weight training can hold a little extra water in the muscle, I do know that. But it could be the thyroid meds. I am at my limit now with those, you work your way up to 5 pills in the AM, today was the 5. I am feeling kinda jittery, which I do not like at all, so tomorrow back to 4, which is where I need to stay, my doctor explained this would happen, and not to worry! I know my metabolism is a bit higher-its normal now, whereas before it was low. I tell ya what, I am so glad I had the test because having my normal energy levels back is so wonderful.:)

I urge anyone who feels rundown, cold all the time, dry hair, etc...to have your doctor test both your T4 and T3 levels. Seriously, I would have never thought or knew to ask about it.

Ok, off to walk the pup.:7 PS. Shelley, this outa really turn you on! I even color coordinated my closet, put all the blue shirts together, the white shirts together....hung my jeans according to length...with heels on the left, without heels on the right...etc...I thought of you while doing this!:p

Leanne, we always post at the same time!:) Take those B vitamins, they are some of the most important!

RE:

Jennifer -- Glad you're resting and taking care of your injury. Sounds like you might need to call in sick tomorrow, or can you just sit for most of the day?

Tneah -- Oh, yes, I forgot that you did bellydancing! How fun! You've just done it all, chica -- competitive bodybuilding, bellydancing, tai chi! Wow! Enjoy your cheat day and don't worry about that scale! Can you not weigh yourself today??? Thanks, too, for the B vitamins recommendation!:)

RE:

Hi again!

I just did a whirlwind clean-up around here - it was a disaster! Sophie is back from the sleepover and very tired. The mom told them all they had to be quiet at midnight but I'm pretty sure that they didn't go to sleep at that point:p

The dogs seem to be doing okay, but not at all interested in the plain rice.

Tneah - your closet sounds dreamy:)

Leanne - your day yesterday sounds really fun!

Shannon - wow, two days in a row!

Jennifer - yeah, keep that snow please. We're supposed to get cooler temps and rain, but no snow. We really do need the rain though.

I still need to vacuum, work out, supervise a bit of homework... oy!

RE:

Hello Melters.

My bruise is now gone, only some pain and no swelling. Icing and elevating right now after a quick trip to Meijer. Changed the cat litter and should vaccum but that might wait till later.

Tneah-Wow!! on your closet.

Shelley-a bunch of girls going to bed early or at midnight,it never happened for me while I was growing up. 3am maybe??

Leanne-do they show the pics of the Self Fitness on their website? the nearest one for me is in Chicago, I believe.

Shannon-good for you.

Hi Everyone,

I re-read that De-clutter post on the Open forum and filled 4 big garbage bags with clothes from my "off Season" closet...

It feels wonderful!

p.s, now if I can only get DH to do the same...LOL:D

RE:

Hello everyone. I haven't been around here all day, I guess. After church it's been Clean Max, Laundry Max, Iron Max, and Plan Max-- planning my week. I made a meal plan for next week (see blog--I would welcome comments on how it looks). I've also planned out my workouts--though I already haven't done today's--might have time a little later, though.

Ah, Derek Jeter is so cute.

Tneah, I'm really awed by your massive closet cleanout. I'm probably due for another one of those. I cleaned it pretty well in the fall but it's starting to clutter up again. I have already switched out the seasonal clothes but that's all the organizing I've done. I tend to leave shopping bags in the bottom there after I bring new stuff home.

Leanne, sorry you didn't win the award, but it sounds like even being a finalist is pretty impressive. I haven't gotten the Tracey Staehle workouts yet--think Circuit Zone is the only one I'm getting in this round, though I think I'll go ahead and order the Core one from Advanced Workouts when they have it. I'm surprised I haven't gotten mine since I'm so close to CT.

Jennifer, glad your ankle is feeling better. I actually keep a bag of frozen peas in my freezer that I don't eat--I just use them to ice injuries and then stick them back in the freezer--they work great because they aren't too hard and it's easy to mold them the right way. :7

Shannon, good job getting all that yard work done--I did a lot of that yesterday myself.

Robin, sounds like you had a really fun weekend!

Shelley, it sucks that we're going on different road trips. I just hope I get in for the August one! I was so bummed I wouldn't be on the July one, and then it occurred to me, "Hey, Cathe will be at both of them!"

Deb, how did your Walk for Babies go? Yeah, we went to Home Depot in the morning and then back to Target in the evening, all at DH's initiation. Those are two places El Cheapo Man will spend moolah.

Ok, I'm outta here. I'll no doubt BBL because DH is leaving town this evening.

RE:

Hey everyone,

So I just woke up a little bit ago from a nap. It was heavenly! I love to nap, but it takes me a good hour or so to even fall asleep, and I usually have so much to do on the weekends that I can't fit them in. I also decided to (gasp!) not work out today. It's supposed to be my rest week, so I figured that if I only work out four days instead of my usual five, it should be alright. Of course, I'm trying not to stress about gaining any weight!;-)

Lainie -- Sounds like you've had a busy day! Did you get any good treats at Target? Where is Brian heading to? Yes, that's odd that you didn't get your new Tracey yet. It always takes so long for things to get here, so I'm surprised I got mine so soon.

Deb -- Thanks for the input on the vitamins! I'm going to order some since I need to get some more stuff at Vitacost. How was the walk this morning?

Jennifer -- I don't know if they post photos from each event, but there are general photos on-line. I'm glad to hear that your bruising is going down.

Tneah -- I'm so glad that your energy is back, and ^^^5's on the weight loss! That is fantastic! How great, too, that you organized your closet so well. I need to do the same thing soon!

Shelley -- Glad that the pooches are doing better. You and Sophie will probably call it an early night, huh?:)

RE:

Hey guys,

Well brunch sucked.:-( We went to a cafe in the new Palazzo (where we stayed a few weeks ago) and I ordered an egg white omlette with veggies, it tasted horrid. I know its my cheat day, but I do my cheat at home...yeah, its the homemade nachos again!:p I am a creature of habit.

I also have some turkey breast cooking and a chocolate bundt cake for the boys....they love my bundt cakes! I collect bundt pans and haven't cooked for them in awhile, so thought I would.

Lainie, my DH leaves tomorrow early AM, so I guess we will be spouseless for a day or so huh?:) I am going dress shopping tomorrow to take advantage of a few hours I get alone before the boys arrive from SLC. Sounds like you had a good weekend, I will have to take a look at your diet plan:)

Leanne, glad you got the chance to nap. I should probably try that....its hot here too, in the upper 80's, but you all are having a serious heatwave.I posted under the vitamin thread again.

Shelley, try mixing the rice with chicken broth, that will help them eat it. Or I mix in wet dog food with it...but maybe that is why they had the runs in the first place??

Jen, glad to hear your bruise ankle is feeling better!

Yawn...think I will try and rest for a second...
