=== MELTERS! Work It! === It's Wednesday!

Hey all!

I was channeling you today Lainie, cause I just got back from shoe shopping and wallet shopping myself.:7 Like I need shoes,I seriously have like 50 plus pairs, I cannot help myself though. And most of them are totally impractical now that I do not have an office to go to everyday.
Lainie I simply adore your choices! I especially love the little Keds, they are "comfy cute". The wedges are darling too, please get them in fushsia, the price is incredible. You do not want to know what I just spent on my own pair of wedges today. I figured it was my gift to myself for trudging through 12 weeks of workout hell.;) I liked the third pair, but you know what? I have always had the worst time walking in those types of heels. I trip and stuff.

Oh and my weighted vest (25 pounds) just got here...its heavy! So now I simply have to work legs so I can try it out when I do squats.

Leanne, your shake sounds weird...only because of the oatmeal, but I bet it was thicker right?:9

Now, since I got side tracked, I need to grocery shop for sure....

Hi melty folks. I just finished 4DS LIS etc. I used an 8 inch bench!

Deb, ain't it the truth about the evil ones sticking around forever. This particular tech has left the lab and returned three times. She's left my department in the lab and returned three times. Everyone knows what she's like, but she is a liar and nothing ever gets documented.

Jennifer, yuk on the ants. We used to get teeny little ants in the kitchen every spring, but we haven't had them for a couple years. I wonder what changed.

Shannon, we are finally having spring here too. It's in the high 60's and supposed to reach the upper 70's by Friday. We are planning on grilling steaks on Saturday, when Tristan is home.

Shelley, I imagine you are in comfy, skinny clothes right now. I like C&W, but I think it is kind of easy. That must be what I like about it.

Leanne, I'm sorry you can't get to both Italy and the RT. That's kind of why I'm not doing the RT. I mean, really, I went to the Caribbean and am taking a week in Yellowstone. We also have plans to visit friends and family near the beach in VA and NC. I'm sorry to hear about your duty as housing for your BIL. I could see a week or two, but 6 months? I really think your DH needs to get a clear idea of how long his brother plans on staying. It's your house too. Sounds to me like his brother is kind of taking advantage of everyone. (Oh, I typed that before seeing almost the exact opinion from Shelley.) I sure hope you and your DH can figure out something that will make everyone happy and comfortable. I did talk to my supervisor and she will look into the problems I'm having with the evil one.

Emily, sorry to hear about your imbalances. I hope the yoga helps. How about pilates. I have a friend who swears by it.

tneah, here's another vote for you taking a break, but why not wait and see how long feels good. You may find yourself motivated again after only a day or two of rest.

Lainie, cute shoes. I love shopping vicariously through you guys.

I better go get work on dinner. I better try to make it something healthy too. I indulged in cookies with lunch, to try to overcome a bad mood. At least they seemed to help.

Lainie -- We take full responsibility for the other pair of new shoes!;-)

Robin -- Thanks for the kind words about the BIL situation! I might snoop around on-line just to see what prices might be like for the RT, but I don't think I could do it without seriously tapping into our vacation funds. I'd love to go, but the Italy trip is what I've really been saving up for the past couple of years. Glad that your supervisor is so supportive about the Evil One!:)

Tneah -- Hooray for the new shoes! You seriously DO deserve some kind of awesome treat for all the hard work you've been doing. Can you send a photo of them? :) Yes, the shake was thick, but actually not too different from normal since the blender ground up the oatmeal pretty well. Let us know how you like your weighted vest. It makes me tired just thinking about doing leg work with an extra 25 pounds! Your legs are going to be even buffer and hotter than they already are!:)

Hello Everyone.

From reading the thread, I missed alot today.

Yes, flying ants are ewww and icky, black and big. I shouldn't get too many since my neighbour's hill is cut down to the ground plus I sprayed. My house was sprayed during the rebuild cause I only get what comes through the window.

GREAT NEWS!:) :D :)
I got a BIG raise and a REALLY REALLY Good Review!!

Not sure about the roadtrip, Travelocity and NWA keeps messing with the planes on my trip to NY. I booked long before the price increase and merger.

Enjoy the sunshine, don't work too hard at anything today!!

Here are the shoes I broke the bank for. Please do not judge. I know they are super expensive and I rarely spend that kind of money on stuff anymore, but uh, aren't they cute? I have a "thing" for Tory Burch.:7
I am going to wear them with white jeans rolled up to show off the shoes, oh and jeans rolled up with a crisp white oxford tied up at the waist...oh dear, now I feel guilty..sorta....

Tneah-VERY cool shoes.

Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet for shopping like in Chicago or Mall of America? Shopping is exercise.
Or, Toronto? (Love that place)

I did my calculating for my next check. It comes out to be an actual raise not chump change. Thank GOD.

Yeah to Jennifer! So glad about the raise...oh dear a shopping trip like that could be dangerous, and after my little "spree" today, I will not be doing anymore shopping for quite some time.

Shelley, whhaaa...I want you to have new shoes too!

Lainie, don't count on it...expensive doesn't always mean comfy-at all, but actually these are otherwise I would have never even considered them. Oh we love our new kicks huh? Shoes make me smile with glee.

Robin, you can borrow my shoes anytime you want chica.I do however have a large foot-8 1/2 to be exact.I guess if they were any smaller I wouldn't be able to stand up properly with these huge boobs I have...

So I just did legs...with my 25 pound weighted vest. Talk about a pain in the neck! Quite literally. Its really heavy, now I know how pregnant women must feel--I think. Boy, I did walking lunges with it on, and even though I cannot go too deep due to the hip, I am feeling that totally exhausted feeling you get in a muscle after its been shocked into submission.:p Now I see why Cathe is selling the 10 pounder, the weight really kinda hurts, something to keep in mind if any of you are considering getting one. It worked great for calf raises too by the way.

Time to walk Georgie who has been patiently waiting for me all day long....

tneah, I showed my daughter your shoes. She wants to know if you'll buy her a pair! LOL. Honestly, I love shopping vicariously through you guys. I couldn't keep up!

Jennifer!! You are the woman of the hour. Congratulations on the raise and the great review.

Leanne, I'm being totally selfish in telling you to go to Italy this year and the RT next year. I'm hoping to be able to do the RT next year.

The same goes for the rest of you. DON'T GO ON THE RT THIS YEAR!!! Wait for next year. I'll be so miserable if I miss meeting all of you. Just kidding. Well, no, I will be miserable if I miss out on meeting you all, but if you have the time and the funds, it's an unforgettable experience. Go. Without me. Really. I insist.

You gals are just so much fun!:7

Jennifer -- What wonderful, wonderful news about the raise!!!! I love the idea of us all meeting in Chicago or Toronto or somewhere fun for some good food, conversation, and shopping! What fun that would be!:) Are those icky ants gone?

Robin -- I'll wait and join you at next year's RT! :) I forgot to say earlier how great it was that you were able to use the 8" step today. Is your knee feeling alright this evening after that?

Tneah -- Wow! Those shoes are ADORABLE! I'm so glad you bought them! You deserve a super nice treat after all that hard work you've been doing, so don't feel guilty at all! Not one bit! Thanks for the heads-up, too, about the weighted vest. I was thinking that 10 pounds would be too little, but it sounds like it would be about right for me!

Shelley -- Have Lainie or me order the shoes for you and we can ship them to you! They're too cute to not have, plus they'd look great with those new teeny, tiny jeans of yours!:)

Lainie -- Glad you got the fuchsia shoes! I might have to pop over to Kohls on Friday to get some, too! How funny would it be if we all had matching shoes?! Kind of like being back in high school (gag!).

;-)
