~~MELTERS...It's Friday Already? ~~

Hey all,

OK, just got done showering and have a quick minute before I head out for Doomsday, so wanted to say "hey!"

Allison -- YAY! I'm so glad you'll be playing with us!;-) Hooray for the mani today, too! How have you been doing lately? Is your dad doing a little better? Sending you {{{HUGS}}} about that whole thing!

Shannon -- Yes, I'm double-daring you to do Leg Blast today, too!}( Oh, what a bummer about that raise not being more. Do you get paid once a month? Maybe you could use that extra money to buy something fun each month! Hey, I forgot that the other day you asked me what my favorite cardio is. Does Drill Max count, even though it's a circuit? I love that one!

Tneah -- You're such a sweetie! Truly, truly! I may email you later b/c I noticed a few days ago that the exp. date on my Hylexin is in July. Are you sure you don't mind? I hate to be a moocher! :-( I love those stats you posted this morning . . . makes me feel sorta fit! Glad you're not sweating the thyroid stuff! I know you hate getting your hair done, but hope the appt. isn't too dreadful!:)

Robin -- Enjoy that cake AND that guac tonight! You deserve it, b-day girl! I'll have to try making the homemade jam. I've always wanted to. Yes, while you were on vacation last week, I found out that the BIL is going to me moving in with us -- for 3-4 months! UG!

Lainie -- Where are YOOOOUUUU??!

OK, time to boogie . . . . See you lovely ladies in a few hours! Wish me luck . . . I'm sorta freaking out about the testing, but it certainly will not be as nearly nightmarish after my ordeal last week of having to get dunked into a tub of water . . . . right?! OK, I think I'm officially nuts. Sigh.

Robin - very wise decision. But then, you're a very wise woman. :7 Yep, still job searching, not that it's doing any good. But as you said, hope springs eternal.... I really hope you have a quiet weekend.

Allison - LOL - the cool group, huh? :7 So, are you going to be extra careful this weekend to keep your girly manicure just so? ;)

Leanne - okay, okay! I'm going to do the Leg Blast! But if I can't move tomorrow, it's all your fault. Actually, I get paid twice a month, so it is a whopping $60. Hey, I won't complain. Anything is better than nothing. Ewww. You like Drill Max? I got rid of mine! Circuits and I do not get along!

Good afternoon lovelies! :)

Well, storms came and door is not in! Crud. It seems as though we might get a break from them, so hopefully we will get it in. Cross your fingers ladies!

Allison--Yea! Another meltie! These fabulous women are just wonderful! I love it here! Welcome! :)

Leanne--How did the test go?

Tneah-- You are so generous! I will email you. Thanks! :)

Uh-oh, DH is yelling for me...BBL

Kara

Helloooooo! I'm back. Gosh, I feel so wanted and needed being part of a check-in now. I.HAVE.FRIENDS!!! ;)

Anyhoo, here's my first shot ever at personals. Bare (or is it bear?) with me......

Leanne--good luck with that body fat test today! You're a braver woman than I....;)
I'm so curious about that new KB workout you tried. I haven't done The Kettlebell Way again since my first try at it. I wasn't overly impressed. But since you went for it and got the 20lb KB and a new workout I may just have to do the same!

Tneah--you are the coolest ever. You're like the big sister I wish I had. (Although I have plenty of them, they're not cool like you). I'm so jealous that you live in Vegas. I've never been there! You're dog is just too freakin' cute. I think I'm in love...

Shell-Bell--what's cookin' good lookin'? I'm so glad you can still go to the RT!! Boo on the washer for trying to ruin all your fancy plans. Now go have a stern talking-to with all your other appliances and tell them to behave until AFTER the RT....

Lainie--how are those braces? I'm so sorry you're in such pain. I wore braces for three years back in highschool and it was so tough, but once these initial few days are over, you'll forget you're even wearing them. Every time you talk about how much it hurts, my OWN teeth start to hurt again! For some reason I feel like you said you've worn braces before. Or I may have been hallucinating. (shocker...)

Robin--HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Muffin Face! I love birthdays. Love, love, love 'em. I wish I lived closer to you so I could give you a big, squeezy hug today. Have a margarita (or 4...) for me tonight, k?

Shannon--thanks for the warm welcome! I want to hear more about you and your horsies. I had two growing up. My parents had a big barn and paddock on our property and everything. Out of seven kids, only me and my older sister Leise (pronounced Lisa) were into them. One was "my horse" --well, he was actually a pony (named Hogan)--and another was Leise's (Rocky). We used to show them and everything. I have shoe boxes full of ribbons from years ago. Ahhhh, I miss those guys...:(

Deb--I.THINK.I'M.IN.LOVE.WITH.KEEGAN!!!!!!!!! Holy schnikes, could your dogs be any cuter?!?!? I'm so happy for you that you have a new family member. I remember reading about your loss of your other dog and how heartbroken you were. Glad to hear you have two babies again to make you smile!

Kara--you are superwoman with all these home renovations! I can barely hang a picture, nevermind redo basically the entire house. I bow to you...

Kristi--How's VBS? It sounds like so much fun! I remember doing that one summer with a friend (we went to her VBS) when I was little. My family is not religious so I never went to one on my own, but yours sounds like a hoot! What a ton of kids!! I bet you're glad it's almost over. :)

Phew, ok. Is that everyone?!? I'm tired now. ;) hehe I should probably go do some work. I hate working. Especially on Fridays. At my office we have "four o'clock Fridays" where everyone except one person can leave at four. One person stays until 5pm to answer the phones and we alternate every week. There are five of us so I only have to stay once every five weeks and tonight's my night. I can't believe how much one hour can affect my mood and my day. I always dread my week to stay. Having that extra hour on Friday evenings is such a treat. The person who has to stay each friday is always so crabby, no naturally I'm not in the best mood today. :) Oh well, the day's going by pretty quickly for some reason so it shouldn't be too gut-wrenching. Although the 4-5 hour on a Friday is always dead slow so it drags. But since no one else is in the office I just spend it surfing the Cathe forums. :D

Ok, gotta go. Happy Friday the 13th! I'm not really superstitious, but Friday the 13th always gets to me for some reason. Did you know this is the only Friday the 13th in all of 2008!?!?!? I'm full of useless information.

I am soooo worn out and lazy. Blah. This morning while Ewan was at nursery school (his last day for the year) I went to Target, then to another dermatology appointment (no sunburn this time, whew) and then to the grocery store. Then I came home, got Ewan his lunch and got him to nap and since then I've just been zoning out on the computer, not even coming over here at first, just playing silly games an watching TV. I feel like a big slug.

I have decided I will definitely start working out again on Monday (I know that sounds like a lot of people saying, yeah, I'll start that diet on Monday or whatever, but I am better about starting back to working out than starting diets). I can't convince myself to start sooner, though.

Deb, how's the puppy? Sorry to hear your vacation is almost over. My vacation is just beginning as my kids are finishing school (Ewan today and Isaac in 2 weeks). Of course, the kids being on vacation is actually not much vacation for Mommy.

Robin, how did you like Strike Zone? I haven't tried it yet but I have it. It'll probably be what I do on Monday, actually.

Shannon, wow, under $100 at the grocery store--I never manage that anymore. Of course, I've got two growing boys--I can only imagine how expensive it will be when they are bigger.

Shelley, yikes--hope that weird leg pain didn't come back. I'm so glad you'll still get to go to the RT, though I still wish you were going on MY RT.

Leanne, I have the same constant word association with the word "plethora". I also think of Princess Bride when I hear the word "inconceivable," though I guess I don't hear that one much. Yeah, the chewing pain is mainly from the braces, though sometimes it's weird to get food stuck in those tooth holes and underneath the wire. Ugh. It's slightly better now--I managed to eat some mac n' cheese today. :)

Kara, girlfriend, I hope you get that door fixed soon!

Tneah, I read your thyroid trauma last night, though I was again in a lazy mood and not posting (plus had to spend some quality time with DH). I'm sorry it's been such a struggle with you. I think you generally take very good care of your body, so don't beat yourself up because of some mistakes. I hope the docs can help. I still need to see my doc again some time about my fatigue issues, (though I've had thyroid tests and that's not it, for sure). I think I knew those average woman statistics. Currently I am above each one. I'll just be bold here, and admit that I am currently at 161 lbs. Eek. It's scary to see it written out. That's down from 165 that I was a couple weeks ago before I started on Sparkpeople (and then started my liquid diet). I am also slightly above average ht at 5'5" (though I always feel short) and I'm above average bra size at 38D (though it might really be a DD at the moment).

Allison!!! Hi and welcome! Part of what I like about this thread is some of my favorite people from other parts of the forum are here as well, so I'm happy to see you here, too, as you are another favorite Catheite of mine. Nope, haven't had braces before but I talked about them a few months ago when I first met with the orthodontist. It just took me awhile to actually go through with it.

Kristi, how's it going today? I imagine you are busy with VBS. I still remember my VBS days in rural Texas as a kid. The Church of Christ VBS had the best cookies and juice. They also really pounded the memory verses into us. The Baptist church had an awesome graveyard we could play in, though. Plus they had the frog races; on one day of VBS everyone brought a frog in and we set them down to race. I remember one kid that would bring a big bullfrog every time; if he could get it to hop at all it would win with one big jump. Boy, stories like this really bring out my hicksville past, don't they?

OK, going to go change clothes to go to the bus stop (this is ridiculous but I put on workout clothes earlier and then didn't work out....)

Hi, all!
I'm home - yea!!! Another year of VBS finished. I'm super glad I did it and super glad it's over! My DDs and I are already saying we'll do it again next year.:)

Y'all have been chatty today based on the number of posts. I haven't read any of today yet, and I still need to read yesterday. I'll do that and be back.

Allison - wow - awesome personals!!! :7 Sorry you have to hang out late at work. Ick. I work from 7 to 3:30 every day so I miss the rush hour, which is nice. But let me tell ya, it's really dragging this afternoon.

Let's see. Horses. Well, I've had horses since I was 9.... dear me, that means I've had them for 30 years!!! Not the same ones, of course. I've never done anything but mess around and trail ride - nothing competitive. I currently have two mares. Alaska is 19, and she's arthritic and really starting to show her age. She's half Belgian draft, half Appaloosa, and such a sweetie. Starry (otherwise known as Fartface) is... 9 or 10, I think. She was bred to be a Paint, but she's solid red with a blaze. So I got her cheap. :7 I never ride now. Those horses live the high life, just eating all day and doing no work at all.

Lanie - It's about time you showed up! I'm glad you got out of the dermatologist without a sunburn. Enjoy your sluggishness for a few more days. Then, back to work! I'm sure you'll feel better once you get back into the routine.

Kara - Storms but no door??? Yikes!

ETA:
Kristi - we were posting at the same time! Whew. Relax. No more VBS!

Hi guys. Things are not going well. The frame is still too big for this *&%^(&*^*(&^ door. I have to get Emma and head to Lowe's. Boo. x(

Tneah--I will PM you since I don't have your email! My mind is on vacation today...:)

Hi Kristi!

Kara

Hey All!

Allison!!!:+ Welcome, welcome chica! Whatta sweet thing for you to say about me, I will be your surrogate big sister anyday! So happy to have you, another manicure girl...very nice.;)

Leanne, sending you low bodyfat vibes right now!

Lainie, its about time you checked in woman. I always start my programs or whatever on Mondays.

Kara, that friggin door! Geez, I am sorry, I will mail you stuff probably on Monday kay?:)

Hey Shannon, how's work going today?

Kristi...you send your address right?

OK. My feelings got super hurt 5 minutes ago and I have to vent otherwise I am going to fire my housekeepers and I need them.

So I walk in from getting my hair done (it is styled really straight which I hate BTW) and they go "oh you got your hair done, I like it better when its curly though".

Okay, I let that slide...cool. Then I have not eaten since early AM so I made a comment about how starving I was, and one of them says, "You have gained weight haven't you? Are you still on your diet?" "You don't want to be skinny anymore?" Excuse me, but WTH??????x( Ok, so these are two overweight gals by the way.) I thought it was soo freakin' mean.
So I said, well, yes, I have gained 4 or 5 pounds since I stopped my diet and exercise program, it was hard to maintain it." Then I said, my hubby prefers my body and my personality now thank you very much. Well, I didn't say it bitchy, which I should have done. Then there was a comment made about how much weight I lost after my hip surgery, "Wow, you lost so much weight after your surgery"....Yeah? No kidding.

So after my starting to feel good about myself and my body (well as good as I can feel) I am back in the pits of body hate hell and am crying. It was just so mean, I would NEVER say those things to someone unless it was my best friend and she asked. Now I feel like the biggest fattest pig in the world. Sorry you guys, my feelings are so hurt, the bee-otcha's.

PS. Allison, just so you know, I kinda have some body issues that I am constantly working on....I usually am not this bad though.
;)

I will print out addresses and ship on Monday sound good? Like I said, its not a biggie, its free loot man!:7

Tneah--I am so sorry that they said those awful, hurtful comments. From the short time I have been posting on this thread, I have come to realize that you are one of the most thoughtful and genuine people I *know*. Most people are NOT like you. These women are most likely desperately jealous of you and in a distorted passive/aggressive way feel better about themselves if they put you down. You are at 17% bodyfat girl! You are fit and beautiful and don't let anyone make you think otherwise. I struggle with this too and am sending a ton of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}. :)

Kara

This will probably be really long -- I apologize in advance! I also apologize for my random and intermingled responses to yesterday and today.

I decided yesterday not to try to work out today because of my foot. I had already decided to rest on Sat. & Sun. since Todd's birthday challenge is on Monday and Tuesday in its entirety. I'm somewhat excited, somewhat apprehensive; I definitely need the massive calorie burn, though, because I've not been too disciplined in my eating this week. Here's our plan:

Monday: (The times are longer than we really think necessary, but we want to allow for anything unexpected!)
wake at 5:30 a.m.
running 21K 6:00-8:30
biking 21 miles 9:30-11:30
105 Pushups and 105 crunches 11:45-12:15
Lunch
Swim 2100 yards 2:00-3:30
Lift 4200 lbs 4:00-5:00 (with Cathe's GSBSB)
105 Pushups and 105 crunches 5:00 - 5:30
Refuel for Tuesday

Tuesday:
Should be a repeat of Monday unless Monday's experience requires modifications. The weightlifting will be with Cathe's GSC&T

PLEASE send all the good vibes, prayers, whatever you can on Monday. I don't know where we stand on the fundraising aspect; we won't do a final total until the end of next week. The VBS offering all week was for the same ministry -- Mobile Loaves & Fishes -- and they raised $18,502!!!

Now on to some personals:

Robin -- Happy Birthday -- I hope you enjoy lots of the treats you truly love!!! Thank you for complimenting my DDs -- they are really great girls, all things considered (i.e., they are, after all, teenage girls)!

Shelley -- How is everything -- Karen, her spirits, your spirits, Sophie, your leg, etc? Good news on the washing machine! Can't wait to meet you in July!

Leanne -- "A Mighty Wind" is supposed to be in today's mail, so we will crash on the floor and watch that as soon as it arrives. Also, I meant to tell you that I finally ordered STS. YEA for your DH doing it with you! I also love DOMS AND stretching. Does your DH look a little funny doing a stretch "workout" with you? Mine does, but I think he has come to realize its importance. I fell out of the loop in the last few days and missed the story of the yogurt maker --why are you buying one? Are they easy to use? I did stay off my feet at VBS most of the morning today by sitting on my table -- I was glad it didn't crash to the floor since we were in a tent in the church parking lot. Sorry about the scale this morning -- mine was up, too! Sorry also about the news of the IL's arrival date! I remember when the girls were like 4, we taught them to use the words "plethora" & "dearth" -- people thought they were so smart. I guess that's what nerdy lawyer parents do to their kids!!! How was the test today???

Shannon -- I was glad to read your rec. of Step Blast -- I just bought it -- can't wait to try it! After my elliptical gets its new motor, I think I may have to try CC8 -- y'all make it sound so good! Don't spend your raise all in one place -- unless, of course, it's on a very few gallons of gas!;(

Tneah -- I'm sorry about your thyroid results. I'm glad you are going to the dr. next week and not suddenly stopping all your meds. When does DH return? Will you bike with him in SD? Btw, it is only the most Texan of Texans who says "howdy!":D Those average woman stats. you shared were interesting. Oh, I would love to try some stuff!!!! Thank you for offering. I'll PM you my address. Oh, that was very uncool what your housekeepers said!!!! Why have people become so willing to be rude!!! I'm really, really sorry they said that. You know better than to let it get to you, but I totally understand!!! I'm sending you the biggest "you are awesome, tough, beautiful, fit, and trim" (((HUG))) ever!!! (And maybe you should fire them.)

Deb -- Sounds like Keegan is settling in a bit. I loved your comments about the dog shows -- very interesting! Enjoy your last few minutes of vacation!

Lainie -- My DD would say that you are super lucky to be eating mac and cheese; to her, it is the perfect food! Better weather any time soon? I wish I could meet you, Leanne, and Kara at RT, but I'm stoked to meet Shelley (& Allison??)!! I'm really so glad that our VBS did not involve frogs!!! I was remembering today that we used to say 3 pledges at our VBS growing up -- to the U.S. flag, to the Christian flag, and to the Bible. There's something weird to me about saying a pledge to the Bible!

Kara -- SO SORRY about the door situation!!! Congrats on your upcoming anniversary! Are you sure you and DH should be together with those tools? }( (Just kidding!!!)

Jennifer -- How are you? How many days until your vacation?

Allison -- HI!!! I've seen your posts on the OD, etc., and I am thrilled to welcome you -- of course, these awesome, amazing women welcomed me just earlier this month. You'll love it here!!! I was like you -- I read their thread and thought they all seemed like women I'd like to know better. Are you going on RT in July? What do you do (i.e., your job)?

Re: yesterday's gas question -- I got it cheap -- $3.87. :-(

OK, while I'm being all honest today about my laziness, my weight, etc., I think I'll just go all out with TMI. Another little problem I've had since getting the braces is that my tongue is all fuzzy and coated. I wondered how that could be from the braces, since all the braces are on the outside of my teeth. So I looked it up on WebMD and it said a fuzzy tongue was from...constipation. Sure enough I realized I haven't been entirely "regular" since getting my braces. Ya'll probably know what a cereal queen I am (have about 20 kinds in the house, literally) but I haven't been eating much of it since getting the braces (just some cream of wheat here and there). So I guess I need to see if my teeth can take some. I hate to use laxatives or what not, would rather just work on getting fiber back in my diet.

Ugh, so that's more excitement from Lainie-land.

Kristi, yeah, I remember saying the 3 pledges at Baptist VBS--also did it at some of the Baptist VBSes I worked at in college. Oh, my DH is an Aggie so he used to say "Howdy" at A&M but never says it anymore--guess he would if he met a fellow Aggie. Of course, he works in Manhattan now so it's not the kind of place where you break out the Howdy's. I'm so in awe of this huge birthday challenge. Whew. Good luck and we'll pray for you!

Shannon, yep, I'll actually be getting into a special summer routine soon--it's always hard when there's a transition period plus I've got the teeth things going on and the dermatologist twice a week. Blech.

Kara, ugh, so sorry about the door!

Tneah, honey, don't be bothered by what people say. Didn't you read up there ^^^when I said how much I weighed. Now, do some math and think about how much fatter I am than you. Then think this: "Lainie is still pretty darn gorgeous even so much heavier than me, so I must be spectacular." BTW, is your hair curly or straight naturally? Mine is wavy, which usually means it's just a crazy mess so I either straighten it or curl it all the time. In the summer it often just ends up twisted up and clipped.

OK, going to go dry my hair right now, actually, or else it will air dry all crazy and I'll look like Robert Plant again.

ETA: here's a pic of Robert Plant circa 1972 so you can picture my hair:

Lainie -- I'm sorry about your little "problem." One of my DDs had that little issue during the school year, and the pediatrician recommended Miralax -- it worked wonders. Just in case you decide to jump start things.

Tneah -- I just PM'd you my address.

Thanks, Kristi, at least I know it's just the weird liquid diet I'm feeding myself. I usually don't have that kind of issue. It also hasn't bothered me much except for the fuzzy tongue. :p

Oh dear me oh my. Listen, Tneah. Listen to me. You are quite possible THE farthest thing from a big fat pig that there could ever be on this earth. I suffer from a lot of body issues too (I think a lot of us here do) and I understand your upset more than you know. I swear, if anyone EVER said anything like that to me I would kick their bloody arses. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if you HAD fired those women. How dare they say that to any human being--nevermind THEIR BOSS!! I know it's almost impossible to do, but please try and banish those thoughts and hurtful comments from your head. You don't deserve to have had them spoken to you, nor do you ever deserve to think them. We all love you dearly. I'm so sorry you're upset. I wish you weren't 3,000 miles away so I could hug you. And then we could go have some Edy's Slow Churned ice cream together. ;) (Just so you know, that is my #1 weakness in life--and I have a bowl of it every night, damn it.) :p

Ok, I just got home from work and I reealllllyyyy don't want to workout. No. *stomps foot*. You can't make me. Hmph. But I just know I'll feel soooooooooo much better once I do. That's always my motivation--how amazing I feel when I'm done. Ok, off to do S&H bi's, tri's and shoulders and then (if I have the energy) 4DS Bootcamp).

Once again, Tneah---chin up, sweetcheeks. I know how you feel--truly I do. You're hotter than hot. ;) Don't let anyone's nasty, ridiculous, (JEALOUS!) comments or your own mind make you feel like you're any less than just that.

Allison

Allison, don't mention Edy's Slow-Churned. It's my weakness lately, too. I always have some in the freezer. It's an even bigger weakness right now since ice cream is one thing that is still sort of a pleasure to eat.

Oh, my hair was too dry to dry further, so it ended up air dried after all. However, it's not very Robert Plant today because I didn't scrunch it at all. I think it's more Chaka Khan or something.

And here I am with Chaka Khan hair and Jaws braces:
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g76/lainiefig/Photo220.jpg

ETA: OK, not quite Chaka Khan--it looks much tamer in the photo than I thought.

*sniff* (seems like I have been doing alot of that lately!) You all are like my rocks, thank you so much for "keeping it real" for me.

I talked to DH about what the housekeepers said, he told me I was being really sensitive and they "didn't say it to be mean".

Whatever, so much for spousal support. He is just really pissed off I went to a "quack" doctor and now says that program I was on totally screwed my body up, and said because of that I am going to gain some bodyfat and water weight for awhile until I get my hormone balance back...again, thank you dear spouse.x( Sheesh. Plus this might be TMI, but I have to get it out...we rarely well, you know "mess up the bed";) he is 18 years older than me-out of shape and stressed all the time, plus I think I wore him out the first two years we were together.:7 But its hard not to take that personal you know, so its all that stuff thrown into one big pile of body issue crap.:) Hey! Look at that, I am smiling again. He is a wonderful man, just a little too "no-nonsense" sometimes when you need "sensitive and complimentary" instead!

Lainie, LOL at your pic of Robert Plant...I actually adore that kind of wild and sexy hair! Mine is baby fine and thin but has natural wave...it just looks best when I curl it cause it looks like I actually have hair. The tongue thing? Go get a scraper and get to work...:) Oh, and I keep some cascara sagrada an herb for those "plumbing" problems. Once you start eating more solid food, you should not have a problem, painkillers constipate too. Have you gotten more AC units going on yet? Hope so! And you are one fine and foxy chica, who cares about a number?

Kara, you are too kind with your sweet self.:) thanks for sending me your address, I am so excited, you and Kristi are "product virgins!" I do hope you like the stuff. I will explain how to use them if you have any questions.

Kristi, good lord your workout routine makes me want to nap just looking at it!:p You are seriously a bad arse. So I did not catch whether or not your Vacation Bible school is finished now?

Allison, you are a doll. And I would be honored to share a bowl of (my favorite too!) Edy's Slow Churned with you any day! You get into that workout room and have at it girl...I am headed to my own pretty soon for a rousing hour on my spin bike and some back exercises.((hugs)) right back at ya!

I locked myself in the study until the housekeepers leave...:) Will be back later to see how Leanne fared today and say goodnight to all of you wonderful women.

Lainie! You look adorable in your braces with your Chaka Khan hair--which by the way is soooo pretty, I am totally jealous! You look like you are about 17 years old! Okay, now I am even more jealous, do you think my dentist would put me in braces? Actually, its not the braces, you are just very young, very pretty.:7

Okie dokie--S&H tri's, bi's and shoulders (and abs) done! Now I just have to do 4DS Bootcamp. And I don't wanna!! x(

OMG, lets all get braces! Then poor Lanie-Loo won't be all alone in her pain. We can be the "Metal Mouth Melters check-in"!! Wow, I need to get a life....

Be back after the dreaded BC....ugh....

Allison

Hey Ladies,

Sorry for the late check-in, but I got home late after running some errands after my appointment, and had a major meltdown. I just read all your posts from this afternoon, and they made me tear up. You ladies are all so fantastic and awesome. I feel so lucky to know you all! Seriously!

OK, so I know everyone's been sharing lots of TMI bits this afternoon, but I'm soooo embarrassed to tell you all how high my body fat reading came back. It's not as bad as that 33% from the dunking last week, but it's really, really high --- higher than the readings I've been getting from my scale AND monitor. OK, here it is: 25%! The sad thing is that I've been feeling really good lately; even DH has said that I've looked better than I ever have, and we've known each other since we were 18 and now we're 36! I have a little bit of ab definition, I'm getting that line down my belly a bit, my bat wings have flown away a bit, and you can see my biceps. UG! My weight is also down to about 115-116, so why am I so freaking FAT??! OK, I'm so sorry to be having a pity party when there are so many other awful and stressful things going on in our group. I just feel so dang depressed right now. :-(

Lainie --It is SO dang nice to see your posts today! I've missed you, Lainie Bug! :) Man, you look ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE with the Chaka Khan hair and the braces. Like Tneah said, you seriously look like a teen! How funny about "inconceivable" and The Princess Bride -- I always think the same thing! Isn't that the best movie? I think that TPBride and LA Story are our two favorite Romantic movies. Doing Strike Zone on Monday sounds like a great idea since it's not super intense, but it's a lot of fun. Sorry about the constipation issue! In the spirit of sharing TMI, I always have terrible problems when we're traveling and I'm not in my comfort zone. Yuck!

Tneah -- Sending you serious {{{{HUGS}}}, babe! I can't believe that those housekeepers would say such awful, terrible things to you. You are seriously the fittest, sleekest person I know, and that is just shocking that they think that someone with ONLY 17% body fat is putting on weight. It sounds like they are just jealous and mean, and please try not to let their comments bother you! Like Kara said, you are seriously one of the most amazing women I know, and I really do think that it is some weird sort of jealousy and passive/aggressive thing going on there. And don't let what DH said this afternoon bother you. I really think that men just don't get us sometimes, and when we need them to be super-supportive, they can be real arses. See if you can spend some "quality" time with DH this weekend. I know what you mean, though, about when you don't get that quality time; I feel like I must be a fat cow if it ain't happening. I think part of it, too, is that our bodies release oxytoxin (sp?) during sex, and it helps with bonding. When things ain't happening b/c we're too tired and busy, I always feel so disconnected from DH. I hope you can reconnect this weekend, babe, and know that we're here for you and that WE understand all this stuff, even when the men folks don't! Sending you more {{{HUGS}}}!

Kara -- Oh, no! Oh no! Are you going to be able to get that blasted door in before the storm hits? Sending you all my vibes for that door to get put in ASAP!

Shannon -- That is so cool that you've had your horses for so long! I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I always wanted a horse growing up, and my parents could never afford lessons. A few years ago, my DH actually got me a gift certificate for a month of riding lessons. I felt like such a dork -- I was the lone 30s-something-year-old-woman taking lessons with a group of 12-year-old girls. I felt dorky, but yet totally awesome. It was amazing being around the horses! So did you do Leg Blast?!}(

Kristi -- I enjoyed reading your post and it wasn't rambling at all! :) Sounds like gas prices are bad near you, too! We'll be sending all our good vibes and love to you and Tood next week! It sounds like taking the weekend off is a great idea so your bodies can get some much-needed rest before that all-out madness next week. It's not too late to donate, is it? I ended up ordering a yogurt maker on Amazon to see if I could make some of that yummy Greek-style yogurt on my own. I buy the cheaper Trader Joe's brand, but it adds up, and I hate the fact that you can't recycle the cartons, so I figured I'd give it a go. We'll see how it turns out! Hooray for ordering STS! My DH still hasn't committed to doing it with me, but seems like he's keen on it, so I hope he will. Yes, DH looked so silly stretching the other night! At one point, I looked over and he purposely had this silly look on his face as we were swaying like trees -- and I couldn't help but laugh hysterically. We're lucky to have these great guys, huh? I love the fact that the twins had such a great vocab at such a young age! :) Hope you enjoy the movie tonight, and I'm so glad to hear that your foot is better!

Allison -- I *loved* reading your personals! You're a whiz at it! Oh, I love that Slow Churned ice cream, too! In my quest to lose weight, though, I haven't actually had a bowl since DECEMBER! I've been trying to practice portion control by eating Skinny Cow cones and ice cream sandwiches, but they're definitely not the same. Hope you got that working going; it's so dang hard to workout after work, isn't it? What a bummer that today was your long Friday, but at least you get to play on-line a bit, right, once everyone else has left?!:) ETA: Just saw that we were posting about the same time! Hooray for half of your workout being done!! :)

DH just left for a night out with the guys (to go see a Pink Floyd cover band -- silly boys!), so I might settle in with a good movie. There's also some Slow Churned in the garage freezer that has been out there for MONTHS -- and I may just go get myself a HUGE bowl later on. Take that, body fat! UG!

Sending you all a big group {{{HUG}}}! Love you ladies, and hope you all have wonderful evenings!

Leanne,
OMG you are so NOT FAT!! What are you kidding me??? Whatever with the whole freakin' deal is what I say, I know you look amazing, I know how hard you work, so enjoy your biceps, that sexy line down your tummy and screw the numbers. You know what? I have been working out forever and will never look like our hero Cathe. We all just have different body types--I just wish mine was more of the "long and lean variety, but I am more of a "Brenda", nothing wrong with that, but that is just the reality for me.
How long have you really been seriously lifting? Not seriously for that long right? Well, the best is yet to come chica, your body is gonna get even better the longer you work. You are doing incredible.
Geez I wish I was there with you right now, I would first kick your rock hard bottom and then give you serious hugs!:) Oh, and then invite Allison over so we all can chow down on the Slow Churned, either that or make some serious margarita's!:) Thanks for the kind words about the "connection" problems, that totally makes sense! I might just have to attack him in his sleep or something.

Hey, how did your bone mass come out? That is super important, it was probably really high--due to all your training! Good stuff having bone mass.;) Have yourself a fabo evening, and I love ya chica!:)

Allison, good girl.:D Now I will pull it together and go workout for crying out loud..

I have been perusing the internet in search of "healing gemstones"...apparently, my 5th chakra is outta whack (it controls the thyroid) so well, I am grasping for straws here....but certain stones have certain healing properties when placed on the affected area. Oh, did I tell you all I used to read tarot cards? Still do, but I project too much to be really good at it....:p

Back real quick, when I compared myself to Brenda I simply meant it looks like she is built more sturdy and builds muscle like I do, its probably hard for her to be really super lean like Jai or Cathe!I hope you guys know I totally did not mean to sound bitchy at all! I love me some Brenda I do.:7
