++Melters! Happy Weekend! ++

Good morning fellow melters!

I will get us started and come back after breakfast to do personals.

Today is a rest day for me in the workout department. We have a vet appointment for Kelsey and the play this afternoon. It's only been 2 weeks since we were there with Clancy... ..at least this is just a regular check up and shots for her.

Hi I'm back!

It's about 34 degrees here now. Hopefully it will go up a bit. We had a nice day yesterday..I think it may have gotten to 50! What is everyone doing for Easter next weekend? I am trying to take my family ( nieces, nephews and their kids) out for brunch. Getting 4 sets of families all on the same page to do something is exhausting!

Lainie:
I am so glad you were able to get your heat back. We also have hot water heat, so I know what you mean about not knowing what to do and having to get a plumber. We put a new boiler in last summer and it really made a difference in our heating bills.

Shannon: High ^^^^'s to you for melting! Tape measures don;t lie so enjoy your success!

Leanne:
How was the lunch and the movie! You have worked so hard these past couple of weeks you deserve a break! Good for you for maintaining that weight loss...I hear you on "the girls"! When you do your GS rotation, do you do cardio on the other days?

Tneah:
Sorry to hear about the alarm woes! what a pain in the "you know what! LOL.. you need to get the free download..did you get the survey e-mail from I-Train?

Shelly:
Hope you had a good Friday...did Boot Camp do you in? where did you go? LOL...

Have a great day!

Deb :)

Good morning everyone. I was hoping for a rather lazy day at home today but DH wants to go to Target. I guess I should be glad since I can't shop myself until Easter, but it means I have to put clothes on the kids. On lazy Saturdays I like to leave them in their pajamas.

Today is a rest day and a "free" day on BFL. I weighed myself and it's not good. I'm up 1.2 from last week, but still down a lb or so from my starting weight. Ugh. I think I need to do a more careful job with BFL.

Deb, no particular Easter plans other than going to church. I guess I should start thinking about if we'll do anything else. We might go to an Easter egg hunt that weekend but it's right about at naptime for Ewan, which is tough. I might just put on our own private Easter egg hunt in the backyard for our boys--which means I better remember to get some white eggs to dye (usually we eat brown eggs).

BBL.

Morning, Melters -

Deb and Lanie - you two sound like you're going to have a very relaxing day! I hope you enjoy it.

Deb - good luck on organizing the Easter Brunch - whew, what a job!

Lanie - don't stress too much over 1.2 lb - that's hardly anything at all. You know we women can fluctuate that much from day to day!

I guess I'm going out to lunch with a friend today. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but right now I'm having trouble dragging myself around. I'm tired! We had a huge thunderstorm last night, and I had to get up with the poor, nervous dog. And then I had a headache caused by my shoulder problem. Sigh.

Today I'm going to give Imax 2 a try, but I'm going to do the blasts on the elliptical. I think my calf might be able to handle some impact, but I'm not brave enough to try it yet.

I probably won't be around much more this weekend. I hope that by tomorrow the yard will be dry enough to clean up more leaves. So, hello to everyone else if I don't see you later - Have a GREAT weekend!

Hi Everyone!

DH is coming home today:) I started really missing him yesterday, one day without him is enough for me. Then I miss my best friend.:)

Its supposed to storm today, not looking forward to this little weather drama, walking George 5 times a day becomes quite a chore and really messy!

Heard from Mr. Trainer man who is really happy about my progress thus far, says the best is yet to come and can't believe how much my body has changed.:) He didn't add more cardio for which I am sooo thankful, I am so creaky everywhere from all the activity. He also basically left my diet alone, subtracted the carb from my lunch every other day...ok, I can deal with losing my beloved corn tortilla's and rice cakes every other day...Okay, I feel more motivated today now that I had some feedback. That is one disadvantage of not working one on one with a trainer, you sorta "float" out there until your next check-in, instead of seeing them face to face everyday or every week.

Deb, no, I did not get the survey, that is strange. Unless of course I deleted it out of my inbox without reading it, something that I inadvertently do from time to time! Oh, and I adore the itread number 3, 60 minutes. Its my very fave right now. Have fun planning your Easter celebration. We have never celebrated Easter, but I love a holiday anyway and have a bundt pan shaped like a rabbit. So I like to whip up a bunny cake for the boys this time of year.

Lainie, LOL about leaving the kids in their pajama's. Nothing wrong with that!:) In fact if I didn't have to workout, I might just do the same if I was in Vegas...do not sweat that stupid pound thing, my weight flucuates by two pounds every single day. Just stick with your program! It'll come off I swear, look how long its taken me to lose any bodyfat.

Shannon, have yourself a wonderful weekend. Enjoy that lunch with your friend, how nice, I would love to do that today...hum, maybe I will take DH out to Coronada Island again tomorrow and enjoy that yummy grilled shrimp salad again.

Hey, where the heck is TK?? Haven't seen her in awhile now. Hope everything is okay. Hi to Leanne who is probably posting right now!
Might bbl...and one big ole hey to Shelley too!
:7

Happy weekend, everyone!

This weekend is going to be a relaxing weekend! My (sad, I know!) goal is to not have to leave the house for the next two days. DH and I have been so busy that we canceled some plans we had for tonight so we could just relax this weekend.

Today I'll be doing Clean Max and Laundry Max, and then tackling Amy B's KBX and some abs. I'm back to my GS rotation, which feels nice. I just wasn't enjoying the endurance lifting all that much.

Deb -- Sorry to hear that you were back at the vet, even though it was just for Kelsey's regular check-up. It still must have been very hard to have been there since I'm sure you were thinking so much of Clancy! What play are you seeing today? Yes, I had a fun day yesterday, which was nice! I've just been overwhelmed at work lately, so it was nice to take a day off, and I only have one more week before I'll be on spring break. When I do the GS rotation, I usually add on two days of cardio on different days since right now I can only work out five days a week, but this time I'm going to add 20 minutes of HIIT to one of the shorter GS days. Sounds like you have a fun Easter planned! My SIL is probably going to be doing a brunch at her place since it's easier to go there because they have everything set up for my two-year-old niece.

Lainie -- You're still doing great with BFL, so don't give up! Like Shannon said, that 1.2 pounds could just be a slight glitch. If you make it to Target today, have fun!

Shelley -- Were you up early today? And does Sophie have her pottery and fun classes today? How has the weather been there?

Shannon -- Hope you have fun at lunch, and a great weekend!

Tneah -- Glad that your DH will be home so soon! And what great news about what Mr. Trainer Man said! How exciting it will be to see the changes that take place in the coming weeks. You really do need to post some photos when it's all over with. I bet you look amazing! I'm getting excited about that big storm that's heading our way. I love it when I don't have to go out and when it's pouring out! I can see, though, that it must be a real pain to take George out!

MY DOGS ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! I *just* let them out, it's a beautiful day, and Sadie is scratching and barking at the back door. Seriously, they've been outside for about 90 seconds.

Okay now that's out of my system!

I got up fairly early this morning, for whoever asked. I did Tracey's Walk Strong workout and really liked it! Thanks Tneah ;) Those inclines killed my butt!

And Leanne, Sophie has no classes at all today. Her pottery course is done and there's no music lesson today because it's March Break here. It's probably a good thing, because she's not feeling real well. She was supposed to have a friend over later, but we canceled.

Shannon - did I see that you're going to lunch? Have fun!

Deb - I hope the vet visit isn't too sad for you. What play are you seeing?

Tneah - how great that Mr. Trainerman is seeing such great results! You must be thrilled!

Lainie - Sophie wanted to stay in her pjs today, but we had a few errands to run, so she's wearing clothes that are very pj-like while at the same time, NOT pjs:p Compromise!

Well, I just yelled at my dogs and now they have puppy dog eyes, so I better go apologize.

I'm sleepy again today. I'm glad I don't have much to do.

We did go to Target and then went all over the mall. It was actually DH's doing since I'm still not technically shopping for Lent. He looked at clothes and shoes but didn't end up getting much--couldn't find shoes he liked well enough. I angled for some shiny red boots for me that I found on clearance at DSW (originally $60 but 70% off) but Brian wasn't impressed and I couldn't buy them for myself. No biggie--when I looked closer they already looked a bit scuffed up--hence the discount, I guess. Still, red shiny boots have a certain appeal to me for some reason.

Holy cow--it's already 4 pm--how did that happen?

Shannon, hope your headache is gone by now--enjoy working out with Imax2.

Tneah, sounds like good news from the trainer. Glad you're hubby's back today. Mine leaves tomorrow night for 4 or 5 days. :( I like it when he's gone one or two days because I can fix easy dinners and watch what I like on TV, but like you I miss him pretty quickly.

Leanne, hope you get some good relaxation this weekend--sounds like you need it.

Shelley, yeah, we sort of compromised on the pj's, too. I put the boys in sweatshirts and sweatpants so they'd be pretty comfy (and they can get away with sloppy dressing.

Good Morning!

I did 4DS Legs, core and stretch today. Did not go the kickbox portion. DH and I went to the play yesterday. It was called "Glorious"...about some singer in the 40's that was so awful , but no one would tell her because she was so sweet and fun loving...anyway it was a pretty good comedy.

Kelsey's vet visit was good, no issues thank God! We are actually looking at puppies.. I want another dog, but part of me feels disloyal to Clancy, since he has been gone only 2 weeks. I think I miss having him here so much that part of me thinks that getting another dog will make me feel better... I don;t know...we will have to see how it goes.

Lainie:
Good for you for not caving in and buying those boots! I don;t know how you did it in Target...it is one of my favorite stores. What fun having an Easter egg hunt in your backyard! What a great Mom you are..!

Shannon:
How was the lunch? I hope your shoulder is better today.

Tneah:
Glad your DH is coming home! I like "alone" time too, but after 1 or 2 days, I start to miss having him here. Why do you need to walk George 5 times a day? Is it because of the storm/mud? Glad Mr Trainer is happy with your progress! If he wasn;t watch out..LOL He may have had you doing 3 cardio sessions a day OMG! I can;t stand the thought of that...( cardio not my favorite thing of course. You must have deleted the I-Train survey post by accident:( One of the questions was what you would like to see them do more...I answered that I would like to see some more strictly walking workouts, no sprints, etc.

Leanne:
You deserve 2 days of rest with no committments! I love the pictures of your jewelry and beading by the way..

Shelly:
Those dogs are pretty funny...somedays they just do crazy things..like going in and out all day long...I sometimes used to scream: "what am I the doorman?"!!...I was looking at that workout, but an hour on the treadmill is too much for me.. I wish there were pre-mixes..is it snowing there?

Have a great day...

Deb:)

Hi ladies -

I decided to stop by since I'm online to search for jobs. As if I'll actually find anything... oh well. I won't know until I try, right?

The lunch yesterday was a complete bust. I waited for a half hour at our meeting place, and she never showed. I was very upset, as you can imagine. I did my grocery shopping, so at least I don't have to do that after work this week. When I got home, I found a message on my phone from my friend. She has a part-time weekend job, and her shift was supposed to end at 11:30, so we could meet at noon. Well, the next person didn't show up until 12:45! She had to wait all that time. The poor girl tried desperately to find some way to reach me, since I don't have a cell phone. Anyhow, I called her back last night, and all is well.

It's still sopping wet outside, and cloudy, so I don't think I'll bother with yard work today. I'm staying inside and will do whatever I please... after I clean house, of course.

Imax 2 went pretty well yesterday. I did 5 of the blasts on the floor, using some lower impact modifications. The other 5 blasts I did on the elliptical, because they were way too high impact. It was a lot of fun, and my calf is only a little tight today. Extra stretching should take care of that!

Sorry for the long, self-involved post. Now for personals!

Tneah - wow, you are making some progress! I'd never survive though - he's taking MORE carbs away from you?! Poor you! I can't wait to see what your maintentance diet looks like. Soon -soon! Did you go to Coronada Island?

Leanne - Your idea to stay at home for two days is a wonderful one, and it sounds just like what you need. I hope you are feeling nice and relaxed!

Shelley - did the dogs ever settle down? Do you have a dog park anywhere? Maybe they just want to play. Or maybe they want their tummies rubbed. :p

Hi everyone,

Shannon -- How frustrating that was that your friend didn't show up, but it's nice to hear that she was alright and that it was just a glitch with her work schedule. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your job search! Also, your post wasn't self-involved at all! We all need each other to listen when we're feeling crummy, right?!

Deb -- Don't feel disloyal about thinking about a new puppy! It really might help you recover more from Clancy's loss. You know that you wouldn't be replacing him, but rather giving a new little pup a home where he or she would be loved and cared for! The play sounds like it was fun; I always love seeing comedies!

Lainie -- Those red boots sounded great! Maybe they will still be there after Lent is over . . . . Sometimes really impractical items are just really fun to buy.

Shelley -- Did your dogs wind down a bit? Did you have a nice day off yesterday?

Tneah -- Did you get hit by that storm last night? I didn't even wake up, but this morning everything was all wet. Is DH back safely?

Hello Melters.
How you all doing? The sun is out and the Snow is MELTING.
Spring is finally in the air. My cats, Seville and Madrid, are bird watching today.
Only 4 days of work this week. Thank GOD for GOOD Friday.

Enjoy your Sunday and your week.

Today is HIIT--going to do Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme or ASCII (have to pause between combos to do intervals). I really wish DH would agree to us getting a stationary bike which would make BFL HIIT easier. Dude is soooo cheap.

Can't stay long because pretty soon I need to go put Ewan down for his nap and then do my workout.

Hope to BBL for some personals. In fact, I should definitely be able to because DH is going out of town later today so I'll have extra free time.

Hey guys,

We drove back to Las Vegas today. Whew. Sooo glad to be home, more room to stretch my legs, I get homesick too. I love the boat and all, but deep in my heart, I like my same old same old, and only need to be "roused" out of the "norm" once in a blue moon.:) The guys are coming down Tuesday to work though, so only one day of rest before it starts all over again.

Deb, it is not too soon to look at pups. We did that right after our dog Ralphie passed. That is when we found George. Everyone is different though in the process. Try itread number 14, its 60 minutes but all flat except one or two sprints (but her times are alot slower) and one hill. I like hills so I found it a little boring, but a nice change. Oh, and the prices went up!

Shelley, hi girl, whats shakin' with you this weekend?

Lainie, enjoy your free time!

Shannon, sorry to hear about your missed lunch date. And yeah, every other day no carbs at lunch. But as I have stated before I will eat a cheat if I want to.

Leanne, that storm was icky. Glad we left today...its no fun on a boat when its raining outside.

Hi to Jennifer? Hows it going? Nice you could join us here in melty land.

I am behind 3 quarts of water (DH will not stop to wee-wee when we drive so I drink nothing for 5 hours) so need to start slurping, then make a grocery store trip-seems I spend my life in the grocers!

Talk to you guys tomorrow, I ordered some Spinerval DVD workouts and am sooo excited to get started on them tomorrow. Today was a much needed rest day.Oh, and my computer works again-we are home!:7

Yo chicas. I'm back.

I did part of Amy's ASCII alternating combos with my own intervals. I do so love that workout. Oh, I should mention I do that one on the MatStep. I've been keeping most higher impact step on the MatStep but going up to a whopping 4" for low impact step.

Deb, good luck with your decision about another dog. I don't think it's disloyal to desire another puppy to lavish your love on. This may sound cheesy, but maybe Clancy would want you to have another dog, and maybe it will also be good for Kelsey. Plus there may be a little dog out there who needs you (says the woman who doesn't have a dog but wants one).

Shannon, hope your calf stays comfy for you. I felt like my Achilles tendon was tight today while working out. Not sure what that's all about.

Leanne, I'll probably be sure to pick up some kind of shoes after Lent...I at least try to find something cute on clearance when I'm in the mood for impractical footwear. DH actually spends more on my shoes than I do, when he does buy me any. He has pretty good taste in attractive shoes, though of course he doesn't pick out the comfiest.

Hello to Jennifer!

Tneah, get to drinking that water--I'm a little behind today, too--not good because when I get all my water later I end up peeing all night long. Ugh.
