Cute Family!!

Do Maggie & Comet get along with Pearl? After all, she does have the luxury condo;)

Thanks for sharing.

Your cats are so cute and I love pearls condo :) I had chickens for a while when I was a kid and they are so much fun! I miss that. REALLY cute house for the chicken.

BWAHAHAHAHA!! I LOVE the pic of your DH!! ;) Those kitties are so cute! I LOVE THEM! And I especially love Pearl the wonder chicken. too cute.

Oh, and Fit44--that's not her husband. LOL. That's a shot of Christian Bale from the movie "American Psycho". One of my faves! Oh, how I wish he was MY husband!!!

Just saw AP for the first time and loved it, so clever!! And yes, CB is definitely my fantasy crumpet. :D Too bad for DH, he wouldn't let me include a picture of him!!! :D

Cute, cute, CUTE kitties!! And I love the chicken. :)

Now when can we see you? C'mon, you have a Mac now so you can get funky like me and show yourself while maintaining your secret identity. LOL!!

Sorry to hijack your thread, Sparrow, but I've seen AP tons of times and it still confuses me to this day! Can you help? Was it all just his mind and fantasies that he made up?

The part I can't seem to figure out is the end when he goes back to his friend's apt. that he killed earlier and it's empty and being rented out. The lady who approaches him (who I assume is the realtor) tells him to get out and never come back--she totally freaks me out! Does anyone have some insight into this movie and/or that particular scene? I guess I'm not smart enough and deep enough to understand it....:(

A black kitty! I love black kitties! (I have one now, and used to have others)
A tortie! I love torties! (My Bobsie--see my photo album!--and my dearly-departed Mandy both had/have a similar color combo. Does Comet have a peach-colored underbelly? Bobsie does!)

I also love Pearl's luxury condo. (And she's much prettier than I imagined: I was thinking plain-old white chicken, though I'm sure they're nice, too. Is she any particular kind of chicken?)

By the way, how did you come to adopt a chicken? Not a critter most people would think of as a companion. Does she get lonely for the company of other chickens, do you think?

Well I actually looked it up on Wiki after I saw it and apparently the prevailing theory is that the movie is attempting to make either of these points:

- that he was an empty, shallow product of the 1980s and so was so emotionally dead that he lived inside his own head, creating these violent fantasies, but not actually *doing* them.

- that he really did these things but his friends were so self-absorbed that even when tried to confess they couldn't hear what he was saying, such as when the woman asks him what he does for a living and he says "Murders and executions" and she hears it as "Mergers and acquisitions."

Personally I think it's the former. And as I said, I looked it up, cause I too couldn't quite determine what was going on!!

Pearl is a Rhode Island Red. Very pretty birds! We got her from my sister, who has a large flock. Pearl was not behaving over there so she got sent to chicken detention with me! I do think she misses having other chickens around, as chickens are social animals. But we plan to have a few more chickens by summer's end, and she will no longer be lonely!

Sparrow,

I love your animals! Pearl is a very lucky girl having such a wonderful condo. I want a chicken! Is Pearl allowed in your house? WOW! your husband.

We have 2 cats and one dog. The best pets I have ever had.

My two youngest children are down here and are thoroughly charmed by your animals, although ds4 asked what was wrong with that man's eyes and dd2 said "He's sleeping. He's tired"

Maggie:)

I'm jumping on this hijack! LOL! Brett Easton Ellis is one of my favorite authors. I've read all his books, including American Psycho. And let me tell you, that was one of the sickest, most twisted books I've ever read. It made the movie look like something from Disney.

Anyway, I got theory #2 from the book. This dude would walk around saying "I just tortured & murdered a woman in my apartment" & everyone would look at him, nod their heads, & then continue w/the conversation.

The movie followed the book pretty well (except left out the more gruesome stuff). But Christian Bale was my favorite part. ;)

P.S. your cats are cute!

oh I do love your little critters. Wish I could live like that :(.
"Husband" pretty nice too but I rather the critters.

your kitties are so cute!!! I love Pearl, too, she's perty! One of our neighbors has a dozen chickens and one rooster and they are all dazzling colors - I always thought that chickens were ugly and had to idea their coats could be so beautiful! (I am a city girl)
