Medicine Ball at Target

Cathlete
I found a TKO brand 6 lb medicine ball at Target for $24.00. I really want the 8 lb, but that is $45 at Sportmart. I also need some more risers for my step (any suggestions on where to purchase those?) and a stability ball. Aaggghh! My husband has been unemployed for awhile and I just can't justify all this spending. I have 1 lb gloves. Would it work if I wore the gloves while I used the ball? Or should I just wait, use a dumbbell and my regular step for now and then buy the equipment later on? Thanks for any and all replies!!!

You could wait on buying the things until later if you need to. Brenda shows modifications on the videos if you don't have them. It might be better because you can then familiarize yourself with the moves first and perfect your form.

RE: My husband rocks!

Thanks for the info on the risers. I will have to order those soon. MY HUSBAND ROCKS! It is our anniversary in 2 days - but he wanted to see me smile so he gave me my present early - an 8 lb. medicine ball and a stability ball! I am so happy! And lucky to have such a great guy!

Awww Jilly!

What a nice guy! Happy Anniversary!!(a lil' early!;-)) Just wanted you to know that Wal*Mart carries a 10 pound med ball for only $16.00 something. I thought it would be too heavy for when Cathe uses the 8 #'er, but it works fine. (plus, it's a GREAT price) I also use it instead of the 10# plate Cathe uses for leg presses. Just thought I'd pass this onto you or anyone else who might be in the market. (or, should your hubby decide to get you ANOTHER gift for your real day! Tee-Hee!)

Hi Jillybean,

Happy Anniversary! My DH gave me a stability ball & medicine ball for Christmas. Now I just got my e-mail that my dvd's are on their way. YIPEEEE! Just wanted to let you know that extra risers for the Step Company step can also be purchased from www.spriproducts.com at $7.50 each. I have the black/gray step but the risers on their web site appear to be for the teal/purple color step. I'm still trying to decide if I want to buy risers to reach 14", get the mini step when available, or just use a step stool. Cathe responded to my question on this and advised a sturdy step stool would be fine. I think I'll just try the workouts with a stool for now.

I noticed you live in MN...me too. My DH bought my stability ball at Target and 8lb medicine ball at Fleet Farm ;-)

RE: My husband rocks!

Yes it is so cool! And he bought the 8 lb. one which means he actually listens to me when I talk!
