Maximus - MTV Pilates Mix ?

Hi Maximus

I am curious what you love so much about this dvd? Is it chaptered? Is it really a 70 minute workout?

I just ordered it from Deep Discount because you thought it was pretty good and I did not like the other 2 you mentioned either, but I hope I did not jump the gun here. So... tell me why you like it so much.

Thanks

Nancy

It's broken into two 30 minute sections, & there's a bonus 10 minute workout at the end. I usually do both sections at one time.

There are a couple things I really like about it. First, it incorporates all the basic pilates principles but is also very creative. Most of the pilates DVDs I have are pretty much the same exercises, just in different order. The MTV DVD has unique moves that are variations on the basics.

Second, it is probably the most intense core workout I've ever done. My abs are sore for a good 2 days after doing it. In fact, I find it even more intense than Core Max. It's the only pilates DVD I have that makes me sore.

Finally, the instructor's (sorry can't remember her name) style is great. She's easy to follow & pleasant to watch. It might sound silly, but so many instructors' manner can be so annoying (i.e. Denise Austin, Kathy Smith) I can't stomach the workout.

Let me know what you think when you get it!

Thanks for the insight, Maximus. It sounds good and I know what you mean about most pilates using the same move just a different order. It will be refreshing to try this one. Now, I really can't wait to try it!

I will let you know what I think after I finish it. Hope my core is sore for 2 days too!

Thanks again. Have a great day,

Nancy

I posted on the open forum with no answer to this.. I just got this DVD and cannot seem to get the workout selection option that they offer ( make your own workout) to work! It will not stay on just the A or B core workout, I can only get both and then one of the others, I guess you are supposed to link 3 together in the order that you want. Is there a trick to this or do I have a defective DVD? Thanks!

Me too. Plus it must be a very sensitive DVD as it freezes during the upper body section. I have to use it on my lap top to do it in my work out room. It does work on the other DVD player I have. I have yet to try the "make your own workout" on the other DVD player or my lap top to see if that is an issue there too. Will post back.
