Mascera suggestion

Frustrated. Looking for suggestion. Currently using Trish McEvoy waterproof. Love how it's waterproof yet washes off easily with soap. Don't love how all my lashes end up clumping together.

Used to use Clinique. Didn't like that it wasn't waterproof (got racoon eyes)and didn't seem to make lashes look longer.

Have also used drug store brands. Never found one that didn't leave raccoon eyes.

Thanks!

Well...in terms of not clumping and sticking together. I LOVE CoverGirl's New Lash Exact. It really does seperate your lashes so they don't stick together. Stila's Fiber Optic Lashes works just as good but it's much more expensive.

I like Lancome Definicil's mascara. It is more expensive (around 20 dollars which may seem a lot but I saw Revlon mascara for 13 dollars yesterday at WalMart). I usually get Lancome's Definicil mascara when there is a freebee that comes with a purchase(which usually includes more Definicil's mascara). They have the waterproof version as well, but I don't use waterproof because I don't need it. Plus eye makeup remover has oil in it which breaks me out (yuck).

Do you have any suggestions for face cleansers for oily (adult acne prone skin)?

HTH. Take care....

I've just discovered Ulta's mascara and love it. I use the Maximum Length Soft Curl Mascara and it goes on with NO clumps and makes my eyelashes long and separated but it goes on soft and natural looking. My eye lashes don't feel brittle and yucky. I'm finding that for all but my base & powder (I use and love Everyday Minerals), I'm loving the Ulta line. I gave their mascara a try because all Utla makeup was buy one get one free for the month of December.

I have really oily skin and I think the best cleanser I have found so far is Lush Fresh Farmacy. It's all natural and it really dries your skin out(which if your skin is as oily as mine--that's a good thing). It really rinses clean.:)

I love Christian Dior's waterproof Diorshow mascara. It is the best one I have used. I do also like (bit not quite as much) Lancome's definicils.

Good luck finding one. I went through heaps of foundations last year trying to find one I liked. So frustrating.

I have used Loreal Voluminous mascara (waterproof and regular) for years and love it! I have tried other brands, including expensive department store types, and have always come back to it. Target has it especially cheap (don't know why) and I get it there for under $4!

L'Oreal Voluminous.
As for clumping, make sure you're putting on two thin coats - not one thick one. Clumps are usually a result of heavy-handed application. Also, get yourself an eyelash comb. You put on the mascara - wait briefly - then comb through your eyelashes. That will remove the clumps.

I use Lancome's waterproof mascara. It doesn't budge even after an hour long swim.

An alternative suggestion is get your eyelashes dyed by an esthetician. It takes about 15 minutes and lasts for 6 weeks if it's done properly. The dye should be quite thick and get them to use their darkest colour. I usually get this done at the start of my summer vacation. It's awesome no messing with mascara and you look great even after a week of camping and swimming.

How much does the dying cost? How will I know if I am going to someone who is doing it properly? What are the risks?

I use Paula's Choice Skin Care line and it has cleared me up like nothing else I've ever tired, including my dermotologist. I quit going to the dermotologist years ago b/c he wanted me to go on Acutane. I went through the blood work and had the prescription in hand but decided the risks and side effects weren't worth it to me. I still get oily and have tried product after product but they tend to dry the surface out and feel good for a while but the oil comes back and then I'm just oil with flakes.x( Anyway, I'm 99% clear I'd say 99% of the time since using Paula's Choice and I've tried EVERYTHING!

Good luck!:)

As for mascara, I've never had a problem with Maybelline's tried and true Great Lash. But I don't care for their waterproof forumla. It doesn't come off that easily and just doesn't seem to go on as smoothly as the 'regular' kind.

But I may have to try Ulta's brand of mascara next time I have one of their coupons!!

Now... if I may segue on to eyeliner for a moment...

Any recs for a reasonably priced eyeliner that will allow me to line the inside of my lower lids without it smearing or without looking too punky/trashy? I don't want to resemble Britney after a night of partying, but I'd like to try it for a change. The Olsen twins and Cameron Diaz, for instance, always look so gorgeous with lined eyes. Of course, it doesn't hurt that they've got top make-up artists working on them either. I think I'm willing to give it a go.

I've never tried liner, but would like to... I'm just kind of scared.

I only use Blinc's mascara ... it's only available online, one of those makeup companies that does makeup for the stars. ;-) It forms little tubes around each lash and only comes off when you wash it off. My eyes are sensitive and this stuff is great because I don't get those little clumps flaking off and getting in my eyes. I think it's about $25.

I use a basic mascara from Christian Dior. I really like it. Also switched to Cetaphil cleanser and love it. I can use it to take off all make-up and eye make-up. My eye doctor told me not to use Maybelline Mascara because of my contacts. I can't remember the reason. Melissa

This is what I am using and like so far... Maybelline intense XXL volume and length, microfiber mascara.... its 2 step but I like it...

I use Cover Girl's Thick Lash.

Have used it for years - love it.
