Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover

Hi Sarah.

I did this years ago, when I got really serious about changing the way I ate. Basically her program is completely chemical/preservative free. Her saying is if you can't pronounce it on the label, then you don't eat it. She also cuts out most meats (chicken/fish are ok), she strongly reccomends organic produce, and she reccomends cutting out all dairy. I did have very good success with the program, but it is pretty strict. No caffiene, no sugar (natural sugars are ok..honey, pure maple syrup, etc.)

I did find it helpful, because it made me look at consuming dairy products in a different way, it made me label conscience, and there are some things that I changed forever after doing the program. For example, I only have pure maple syrup now, the other stuff is just maple flavored sugar. I also switched to drinking Rice Milk instead of regular milk after doing this program. I just felt better by cutting out the dairy products. I still have some, but not nearly like I used to.

If you are thinking about getting the book, look on half.com. This is like EBay, but with no auctions. I think I got my book on there for $3 and it was brand new. Also, your local library should have it, if you want to take a look at it.
