Making up your own routine?

I'm trying to create my own little workouts for the times that I'm just bored with the tapes I've got. I have two CD's from Dynamix. These are specifically designed for aerobic/step/weight workouts. I absolutely LOVE this music. It is so motivating. But everytime I try to just make something up I end up standing around alot trying to figure out what to do next. They list the beats per minute instead of how long the song is. I know that step movements are in 8 beat sections so I was wondering if any of you that make up your own routines have any suggestions? I'm wanting to do kind of a circuit plan. How do I know how long a song is? Example. If the song says that the BPM is 132 what does that mean in terms of time?

Kim the only help I can be is to advise you to check out turnstep.com. This is a site where instructors frequent & I'm sure they can help you. HTH, Kathy:D
