Hey there Maggie! I wanted to encourage you with your weight loss. I know you posted that you gained more than you hoped you had (which is what you said with your last pg too) AND you lost all your weight last time (and you will this time too)...

Anyway, I thought you might want to consider sharing your actual weight gain & losses. This will really be an encouragement to others (especially lurkers who never post). You really are a 'poster girl' for endurance & stamina...and I thought I might urge you to do this as a benefit for others.

Of course, I'd totally understand if you decide not to do it. ;) I've "known" you for a couple of years now, and I know you have the gift of inspiration & encouragment. I believe this is one of your talents that God has given you...and you can't tell me that I'm the FIRST person to tell you this. :D :D :D

Well, thanks, Melanie. I actually gained way more this time than last time and most of it in the last 5 weeksx(. Anyway, I have 30 lbs to lose to get to my goal weight as of now. My goal was to have 20 lbs or less, but oh well....I am extraordinarily hungry while pregnant and my voracious appetite goes away almost the moment I give birth.

Last time it took me about a year to lose 38 lbs (that's counting from 2 weeks post partum) and then another several months to lose 5 more lbs. I did not eat particularly well and I was breastfeeding until only a couple of months before becoming pregnant again, so anyway, I expect it will take several months to get to my prepregnancy body. I am watching my diet via fitday much more carefully this time.

I wonder what it is like to maintain weight? I've been either gaining due to pregnancy or losing post partum for the last 12 years:eek: :7  .

I think she's amazing too Melanie!!!!!! That was a beautiful post and Maggie you ARE doing great and motivator to ALL. The weight just seems to fall off for some, but for the ones who fight for it over the long haul...that's persistance - those are the stories we all need to hear.

Mel...I think it just fell off you!!! (okay just kidding - you did some incredibly tough weeks of workouts }( ;-) ;-) ;-) )!!!!

BUT...I can't even imagine getting back to preprego weight in 2-3 months..no way, my body won't release my fat pockets that easily!!!

Let's not forget that this was only my third pregnancy. I"m sure if I'm blessed with another one it'll be even tougher to get the weight off. I'm sure you ladies will agree it seems to get harder with each pg. PLUS, I"m not that thin as it is...so my goals aren't too big. ;) It seems to me there's a lot of girls who want to be a size 0 or 3. I'm a happy 6/8. ;)

Maggie, I"m so glad I didn't offend you with my post. ;) I was a little nervous when I didn't hear from you...

Ack, Briee--one of the things making me want to stop at 6 is the thought of having to lose all this weight, YET AGAIN!!!

Melanie--of course I'm not offended. I don't want to be super tiny either. My ultimate goal is a 4, but I'm okay with a 6 (remember I'm 4 inches shorter than you). My husband would go purely insane if I got any smaller than that. He likes a woman with some substance:7.
