lumpy tricep

Hello Everyone,

Cathe, thanks so much for showing me that I can actually do step and for making weights so enjoyable.

So, on to my question.
I've finally started to get some tricep muscle going. However, its all lumped right above my elbow. The arm gets progressively flabbier the further towards the armpit you go.
Am I making sense?
I assume I'm doing something wrong although I try very hard to follow all of your form pointers. Would you guess its a form problem or are there different exercises I should be doing?
Any suggestion?
Perhaps I'm holding my arms too far forward?

Help?
Amy

P.S. I'd LOVE to hear more about your dog training. It fascinates me, and I'd love to hear how you got into it. However, I know your time is very limited, just thought I'd throw that out there.

Hi Amy! The tricep area is an area that many women store body fat (thus the flabby arm jokes will forever haunt us). It sounds to me that you just need to give your arms more time to respond. It has already shown inprovement but over time cardio, weight training, and clean eating will clean up that muscle line even more. Hang in there, further improvements are on the way:)!

As for the dog training, I love dogs and especially black labs. My friend told me of an organization "Canine Partners For Life" which trains service dogs (mostly black labs)for disabled individuals. I called up and asked how I could get involved and as it turned out you apply and see if you are accepted to raise, socialize and basic train (sit, heal, lie down, walk nice, no sniff, load up, etc.) a puppy for the first year of its life before turning them back to the program at a more mature age for more extensive skill training. It is extremely rewarding. Since I have moved, had a child with another due in a few weeks, I had to put my efforts in the program aside for now. I'm hoping to someday play an active role with the organization again. Thanks for asking!

Hi...I hope this is appropriate humor for this subject. Last week I heard that area referred to in the funniest term I've ever heard...

Bingo Flaps!

Of course die-hard Cathe-ites don't have to worry about such things!

thanks so much for the added info about Canine partners.
You surely didn't have to answer but I sure appreciate it.
Someday, I'd love to do something like that. If you ever want to talk critters...you just holler! : )

thanks again, Amy
