Step, Jump and Pump Preview!

:D Just did Step, Jump and Pump today and boy what a workout! I did'nt think it would ever end! It has everything in one video, step, hi-lo, kickbox, weights! Talk about a fat burning, body pumping, sweat dripping video, this is it! AWESOME! Love the kickbox section with Kung Fu Fighting!

:D Oh by the way KathyH, I was not able to do both Step, Pump and Jump and Push Pull on Saturday as the Step, Pump and Jump fried me! Waiting to her your thoughts on "Step Blast"! Sunday I will attempt Push and Pull and then Monday Legs and Glutes then start the cycle all over again!

Hi Lisa! I did SJ&P on Sat. I thought this one was going to be my least favorite but as it turned out I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ONE!!! It has it all cute step section/hi-lo w/just the right amt. of intensity/low impact/great core section & more yoga! Everything a person could want. I attempted Step Blast on Sun. & I find it not as intense as Rhythmic Step but I was also doing it with a sinus headache. I mastered combos 1 & 2 so far. On Tues. I'll be doing it again to try to master the rest of it but I'm so confused w/those straddle taps I'm constantly either on the wrong foot or wrong side. LOL Oh well that's the fun of it the learning part. This one is going to take me awhile to learn. I'll be doing Push/Pull tonite but I've already previewed it & to be quite honest if Cathe expects us to lift the heaviest that we can then that means for me in doing a chest press I'll have to use 25# dumbbells!! Supersets & Push/Pull is much more DVD friendly so you can tack on more sets & reps to your liking. However, I absolutely loved Supersets but I don't think Push/Pull is going to do anything for me. We'll see I may have to eat my words!! Talk to you tomorrow, Kathy:7

:D I think the straddle taps are what come before the peg leg pivot correct? I always end up on the wrong side of the step with the peg leg pivot! This was the hardest part of the video for me! I am actually going to try "Step Blast" again tonight! Should be easier! So, which Body Blast video is your fav that you have done? I like "Step Blast" and "Step, Pump and Jump"!

Yes those straddle taps are the ones that I'm talking about before peg leg pivot. Ugh! I just had to stare at the tv screen & watch them.:( But I will master this tape even if it kills me! LOL It took me 5 times through to learn Rhythmic Step but it may take me longer to learn this one. SJ&P is my all time favorite!! It has everything in it for me! Yipee! I'll give you my impressions tomorrow on Push/Pull. Happy stepping! Kathy:D

Hi Lisa I'm back! I finished doing Push/Pull & its a goody!!:D Once I get acclimated to the new exercises (had a difficult time keeping my balance during biceps using the stability ball) I plan on tacking on 2 more sets but only for biceps & triceps. I feel I didn't get enough of a workout. I really felt it in my back & shoulders; had a hard time falling asleep last night. DH is taking me on Sun. to Circuit City to pick out my DVD player. I plan on getting the Superset & Push/Pull on DVD. What did you think of Push/Pull? Doesn't the music just ROCK or don't you like it? Talk to you later, Kathy

:D I did "Step Blast" for a second time last night and mastered the whole thing! I got the peg leg pivot down on the left side, but when it came to the right side I still was ending up on the back. I guess I need to start the straddle tap with the other foot. What a sweat producing workout this one is! It is definitely my favorite and in a close second is "Step, Pump and Jump". I like the music in Push Pull. "Push Pull" is fun. I think it was the music in "Supersets" that I will have to get used to. Love the music in "Step Blast" and "Step, Jump and Pump". Tonight I will do "Legs and Glutes". This is the last video of the series for me. Have you done this one yet? How is the music? My daughter and I are waiting for the Hall and Oates tune "I can't go for that". Keep in Touch!

I'll be doing Step Blast again tonite. Wish me luck! Legs & Glutes is my final one b/c legs are my least favorite body part to work. Ugh! Let me know what you thought of this one tomorrow. Kathy

:D I finished up the "Body Blast" series tonight with "legs and glutes". This was a nice change of pace lower body workout because it does not use the barbell. I had to dig out my ankle weights for the floor work calisthetics ( it reminded me of Cathe's older videos namely "Fit and Firm"). This video has both explosive plie squats (inner thigh) and explosive lunges! The music is awesome and does include "Hall and Oates"! Yeah!

Hi! I'm new to Cathes' videos - I've been a firmie for five years, so can't do comparrison to other Cathe videos. I rec'd my Body Blast yestreday, and did step, jump and pump - I really enjoyed it!!! Very tough, but I was able to make it through. I found the aerobic portions challenging (which is good - new - but good) and the weight segments brought me to muscle exhaustion. The ab sequense was by far the toughest I've ever seen (didn't quite make it through all of that.... :) ) I'm really looking forward to trying all my others - I also really liked that all the video participants had such awesome form and Cathe is so perky - it all helps.

Hi Judy! Thanks so very much for the birthday wishes. I just finished the entire series & I must say their all FABULOUS!!!! Finished up w/Legs & Glutes (its a frier!) but in a nice way; very different & it reminds me of what I used to do in the gym over 20 yrs. ago; it was nostaglic for me. The music really ROCKS too. I had a HUGE smile on my face during all of these workouts. Everybody's going to love these. Finally got all of the choreography down but haven't even attempted the Challenge yet. Still stuck on one move but I will master it! Best, Kathy:D
