Lower Body/Freestyle Check-in 5/4

Good morning,

Thought I'd take a turn starting this out today. I did Cardio & Weights this morning and then a lunge and squat series. I'm up half a pound, but I think that is because I didn't eat very well this weekend and didn't exercise.

I think I am in the second week of this rotation (lost a week because I was sick). How long is everyone planning to do this? I see a lot of people are ordering the Power 90x series. I don't know much about it and will probably stick with Cathe and freestyle training for a while longer.

Hope everyone is doing well.
Have a great day.

Good morning to you,

I did CTX Kickbox and Hi-Lo sections and added SJ&P Hi-Lo, totaled to about 35 minutes cardio. Then I did ME legs, about 20 minutes.

Shopgirl, as far as your question, I'm waiting for my Freestyle book because I feel like I'm just floundering around until I get it. But, I definitely intent to purchase P90X. I'm probably going to order it the end of this month. I really like the idea of moving up another level, but I want to give Freestyle a try first. It is hard to wait with all the positive feedback regarding P90X.

Hi Shopgirl,
Well to answer your question, I like Freestyle cause I get results and I don't get bored with a certain exercise after a few weeks.
It seems to me that people are to instant, they want instant results they want instant this and instant that. I have found I really have to work at what I want to keep it, and thats okay, cause this is healthy for me, and besides I am looking really good for 44 :7 ...
As for everyone else, I don't know what they are going to do. P90X is not for me... I am not after muscles....... lean muscle yes, but not being musclar.
Hope you find what it is your looking for.......... Rhonda :7

Hi Rhonda -

I agree. I think you need to give a rotation time to build up and then time to work it's way to a plateau before you finish it. On another thread LoriSax wrote that she was switching to something else because the Freestyle rotation was too time intensive. I found that to be true as well, so I switched it around a bit to make it half an hour of cardio and at least 20 minutes of legs a day. I am still waiting for the book and hopefully that will help me make minor adjustments as I go.

My upper body and abs sculpt fast, it is my lower body that is my problem area - so I'm sticking with the Freestyle to see where it takes me. Right now I'm at 116 at 5'5". I'd like to hit 114 and see what my legs and hips look like at that point. I haven't run much in the past 2 weeks and would like to return to at least 2 days a week.

Sounds like Teddi is having great results with this rotation and I am hoping for the same. Glad you brought it to our attention.

have a good one.

Here you ladies are ;o) I posted on the other thread as well. I just wanted to add me .02 cent here regarding Freestyle and P90x. I think you guys should continue with what ever is working for you. As for me, the freestyle has really made a difference, but I do agree its very time consuming.

I like it and will probably continue with the concept even tho I don’t have the book. But, from what I’ve read and learned from Rhonda freestyle is it.

I’m planning to do another 12 weeks with the P90x and some Cathe. For me, my body needs to be shocked in a different way to get better results. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE Cathe, she’s my girl. I’ve been doing Cathe for about 5 years just about everyday.

I think with the P90x I’m going to shock my body a little. If you want to go another round or two, sometimes it takes that. I’m with you ladies

Hi Everyone,

Well I ended up taking an unscheduled day off yesterday. With work and baseball season (2 of my 3 sons play)upon me this is happening more often.

Today I did Imax 2 and am headed to the gym for leg wts and 30 min cardio. My intent is to stick with this program for 8 to 12 weeks, should notice some kind of results in 8 weeks. I've ordered the book so that should help me out with the exercises as well time management for my workouts. I also feel like I'm having to spend too much time working out each day, time that I do not have especially now.

Great job on the weightloss teddygirl and keep up the good work.

Have a great day everyone! :p

I feel like I am not spending enough time on abs because I'm concentrating on cardio and legs. But I also want to continue for a few more weeks.

Sounds like we're all feeling about the same.

I guess Beverly is in Indiana this week.
