Lower Body Freestyle 6/4

Happy Friday ;o)

Yeah! the weekend is here. How’s everyone today? I’m good and I’m sore. Well ladies, I got through Beach Body’s Yoga x. What a workout! Every muscle in my body is sore this morning. When I got home yesterday, I decided to walk first, I did 16 laps walking my fastest, it take me about 55/60 minutes. I found out, that the Yoga would have been enough.

I finished around 7:30 and started the yoga around 8:15 it was 10pm when I finished and I didn’t do the last 15 minutes of the tape. I had to stop. But, man oh man what a workout. I love this tape.

I think there’s 3 parts to it. The first 30 minutes you’re doing a lot of planks, down dog etc. The second part you’re doing more balance moves. And then you move into stretching which I loved. Each segment seems to last 30 minutes or so. I’m VERY pleased with this tape.

Tonight, Step Intervals (cardio only) & BB Legs & Back. I watched L&B last night and its’ hard and intense. What are you guys up too?

Good morning,

This morning I did L&G straight through. It has been a while and I've forgotten what a great workout it is. I am still sore from doing Boot Camp yesterday as well. I brought my stuff to work to run on the treadmill at lunch, but we'll see. I'm pretty tired.

Maybe you Power90X and lower body girls can help me out here, if you would ...
for a couple of weeks now I have been reading the threads on this subject and can't decide what to do. Should I invest in it (and if so, how DO you get that damn coupon? - lol ), or should I pick up a couple of Cathe's newer and older workouts (some of the recommendations have been Power Hour, MIS, and the new Advanced DVD)?

Here's the thing, I need to lose this layer of fat over the my lower abs, hips and thighs. The rest of the bod ain't too bad for a 39 year old. My knees are a bit sore from the Freestyle training, but I am definitely seeing some results. I think stepping up the cardio to at least 4 times a week suits my body. Ultimate goal is to get a low body fat and then just work to maintain it through a few Cathe's and some yoga and a sensible diet (aiming to look like Renee Zellweger's bod in "Chicago" - she's the same height and body type as me). I figure I am about 6-8 pounds away from that goal.

What do you recommend? I really would value your input as I don't have a lot of money to throw around and want to invest it wisely.

Many thanks as always for your good advice.

Hm………….tough tough tough! My .02 cent. MIS is a strength workout, Pour Hour is a endurance workout they both are excellent workout. I don’t have any of Cathe’s new BB. But, I’m planning on getting the Advance Stepping. If you are looking to lose I’d suggest MIS it’s a total body workout which includes 30 minutes of leg work.

I did MIS rotation for 8 weeks and I lost and toned nicely. I was at my thinnest ever. Now, P90x is a fantastic workout and a very nice compliment to Cathe’s workout. However, if you don’t have MIS, get it!

If you decide to get P90x just ask one of the ladies on this forum, if you could use there 15% I did and Rhonda sent it to me. It definitely helped. I paid $127.00 for the series. I hope I didn’t confuse you more )

Thanks Teddygirl, as always - solid advice. I went ahead and ordered the Power Hour-MIS-BodyMax DVD and the Advance Stepping DVD. Hopefully, with the DVDs there will be premixes, so I can work it in with other stuff. They seem very "Boot Camp-like" and that really appeals to me.

Maybe I will ask for the P90x series for my birthday - I hate to just go out and buy, buy, buy and not use it. I really use each and every Cathe workout and that's how I can justify spending the money.

Thanks again.
