Low Max modifications

To all Low Max fans! I really enjoy this workout, especially the blasts (I love to work legs). I'm looking for ways to both increase intensity and decrease knee torque! I've come up with a couple of ideas that really help, and I want to see what your ideas are.

TO INTENSIFY: Combo # 2 instead of the hamstring then grapevine to the side, then knee smash/kick/knee repeater – I take out grapevine and just do (I think 3 or 4) plain knee smashes and then go right into the knee smash/kick/knee smash repeater.

TO REMOVE KNEE TORQUE (and maintain intensity): Combo #5 kicks from the side to side and around the world – I alternate kicks [so it is step up--kick--straddle--step-- up kick, etc] on end of board. You still get the exact same kicking motion, but none of the knee torque.

Step pivots – change to two stomps on step. [It evens out when you go to the other side]

What interesting modifications can you share?????

Thanks!

Are you only worried about decreasing knee torque or are you worried about higher impact moves as well? Because when I do LoMax I often will lift moves for increased intensity or do over the board instead of tripling around, and in the beginning of the step combo where you do lateral A-steps (before the move actually becomes a lateral A-step) I go over the board and back, it puts you in the same place and ups the intensity. I have others, but would probably have to go through the video to see where they occur.
Or you can always go for Pinky's add-ons to LoMax that turn it into a leg circuit workout with weighted legs after each blast.
Great thread!

In Blast #1, rather than keeping arms static, convert the blast into sumo squats a la Boot Camp and I-Max 2 Interval #8.

Thanks for these suggestions Saia11 and Aquajock -- they are both helpful! I've started a file and put these posts in it. I love the sumo squats in Bootcamp, and it will be fun to turn that first blast into sumo squats! And, I also really like the idea of changing the triple steps (and other moves as well) to over the step. Triple steps do not work well on my carpet. I can handle impact fine, it's just knee torque that I'm trying to avoid. Again, thanks -- these are great suggestions.
I hope others chime in as well.
