Low Max before leg day?

Hello everyone. Can anyone tell me if they've done Low Max the day before a leg day? I find that Low Max does tire my legs out, but I'm not sure if it would affect a leg workout the next day. What do you guys think? Thanks for any input.

Hi there! I've done Low Max the day before a leg workout. My legs are definetly tired after doing Low Max but not to the point where I'm too sore to work my legs with weights the following day. That actually surprises me since I find Low Max to be totally exhausting!

Pinky posted a workout that included legs WITH LowMax -if you do a search for it, I'm sure you can find it. It's killer though!!

Deborah, when I do leg work I usually do Low Max as my cardio on a leg work day. Sometimes I don't or sometimes I just do it for legs and then do abs. Ok, where I'm getting at is it doesn't matter when you do Low Max, I just wouldn't do it the day before or after a leg work day to get them prepared/rested for the leg work to come or to just rest them after a w/o

HTH!

I think doing leg max the day before a leg workout would be fine, depending on how your legs feel and your goals.

If your goal is to grow as big muscles as you can, then don't (it would be like doing a Freestyle weight routine, the goal of which is to increase tone and strength without adding size). But if you just want to get firm legs without adding much if any size, it would actually be a good tactic (but one I'd only recommend for lower body, not upper body). Depending on how your legs feel, you would probably have to use lighter weights than usual for the lower body workout, but that would fit in with this goal.
