Melinda! Congrats on the end of school! I bet you are happy that you can have a rest now. Or that you don't know what to do with yourself.
Tracy - a bit of advice - get more than one bid from contractors. We put our house out to three/four different contractors and met with all of them. Plus, you can't get a good bid unless the plans are completely done and I think that the plans need to go throughout the plan check stage with the local building department. (I'm assuming that the process is relatively similar to CA) Our stupid building department's engineer added about 6 grand of extra work for the contractor that ate time and money and which we had to pay out of pocket. The contractors were very different in their bids. The ones that are only generals and sub out everything are much more expensive then the generals that do a lot of the work themselves. Of course, the only thing that you can't judge before hand is their time management and the management of their crews. Our contractor is a bit of a whiner, doesn't like to work in the weather (I have to say that the darn bad weather is slowing us down tremendously, siding on outside can't be finished until it stops being so darn cold...err) Also, I think that when he was not on the job site, the workers made stupid mistakes (like they hung the fire door I had bought for the entry from the garage to the house in the entry for the outside to the garage....fire doors are about 50-60 dollars more than a regular entry door, err) and were very slow in their work.
Anyhoo, that's only my 2 cents worth, for what its worth.
Okay, I worked out yesterday for the first time since February! Whoo hoo!!!! I did Tracy's new Leaning out workout. I liked it!! Kept you going, can do it in the morning if I have too and had some great new types of moves. I am sore today and will probably get more sore as the day goes by. It was also all low impact type of moves in the cardio. No dancey stuff. I have a bunch of new older workouts. I'm trying out some of the Firm stuff. Like Cardio Overdrive. Not sure if I'm going to like the one I got called something 45, can't remember the darn name. It is three cardio workouts that were previously released separate, one I can remember was called Slim Down Cardio Dance. May be the only one I like. Allie is the lead in it. The other ones had Sue Mi? and Allison as leads, but they looked rather...hum...robotic. I'll give them a try at least, but they might end up in the garage sale pile. I'm too used to Cathe, Chalene and Christi Taylor for the awesome cardio leads. I guess I'm spoiled.
Okay, I had better get back to work. I supposed to prepping for a trial tomorrow. Another going to get my booty kicked. I just don't see how this lady is going to convince the jury that she had no idea where the money went. Bank statements don't lie. (Plus she has a prior conviction of writing checks off her ex-boyfriend's account without permission and the jury will be able to find out about that!) (oh and she has a current bad check case.....pfft... I love my job... I love my job........)
