Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that I absolutely LOVE the last combo in Step Blast! The first time I tried this video, I didn't think it would end up being my favorite because I had a little difficulty following in places. I'm normally a pretty quick learner and have been doing Cathe videos for years. I ended up a little frustrated with myself after my first time because I just didn't "get" a couple of the moves. But I hung in there and the 2nd time was better. Now (after about 5 or 6 times) -- this is my favorite video of them all (although they are all FABULOUS!). I really love combo #3 and I'm glad Cathe put that one at the end. Since I know it's coming, I am sure to finish instead of "going to make popcorn or something" :) The peg-leg mambo/pivot is soooo much fun and I love all the turns! I just keep wanting to do this video over and over and over again!

I just wanted to let Cathe (and crew) know that they did a fantastic job with this one and it is SO much fun!

I love combo 3 too. That one took me longer to learn too but it sure is fun once you have it. I love Step Blast.

:D This sure is a fun video, especially since I got the peg-leg pivot in the "Step Blast" challenge down. I always was ending up on the back side of the step instead of the front. I also had trouble with one move in the warm-up (after the third side leg lift getting back to the front of the step. I knew this would be my favorite video of the series, and it is!

Hi Shonie! The peg leg pivot is our favorite too. There was barely a rehearsal that went by where we didn't have a fun comment on that part. So glad you like it too. Thanks for your feedback:)

Oh my! Will I get it right?!x( I did Step Blast today for the first time and boy I had to hit that pause button a lot! (felt like déja vu...Remember Rhythmic Step?) I'm glad Cathe repeats all the combinations again at the end before the "blasts" cause when I got to my third and last blast I made about two or three little mistakes (and when I started I kept making mistake after mistake.) So I will be aware not to make those again next week.

After reading this thread I feel there's hope so I'll keep trying.

I did Step Blast for the first time today and I agree, it is a phenomenal workout! I definitely didn't catch on to all of the combinations but I hung in there too. I love choreography you can grow with. If I get it down too well the first time, then I know it'll get pretty boring fairly quickly.

I love that there was not to much TIFTing and the Challenge at the end was the icing on the cake. Way to go, Cathe! Every workout I've done so far has exceeded my sky-high expectations!

I tried Step Blast for the first time yesterday and was having trouble with Combo#3. I read somewhere in the Forum Cathe explained it in detail. I didn't get my dvds yet back then and I didn't pay much attention. Could anyone help me out where it is so I can print it out? Thanks so much.

The first time I did Step Blast I had to keep the DVD remote in my hand! But the second time through, my nervous system and musculoskeletal system was in sync for much of the time, and I made it through without clutching the remote and only a few brain farts.

Ironically, I got the peg leg pivot on the very first try, the first time out with the workout. I was surprised since so many people were having trouble with it. The hardest part for me is the pony-up, run down- I keep ponying when I should be running and vice-versa! The fast-foot repeater reminds me of interval 6 on IMAX 2. If you count it out while doing it, it is much easier to figure out. Knowing on count six to bring the outside knee up and exit the step on counts 7 and 8 is critical to being on the proper side for the triple steps around.

The challenge is so much fun. I love plyometrics - the more the better- and it wouldn't be a Cathe workout without them. I also love the fact that they were sandwiched between the three combos, a nice bonus!

I've done StepBlast probably about 5 or 6 times. The peg leg pivot was a bit hard, but I eventually got it. And the repeater....yes I do remember from Imax2 interval 6, but the shortened version got me so darn confused..:) , so I just did the repeater normal until it finally clicked!. I took a week off from it and did it again yesterday. That must have helped me because I got it finally and it really felt good. I'm with you Roe, the plyometrics this way are so fun!..Great workout...Carole

I actually got the peg leg pivot too with no problem ...it's those slams that get me; I just want to put my foot back on the step

I am one that was never real big on plyo jumps but that blast at the end was so much fun, I was like YEA lets do that one again, LOL!

I still want to move the wrong leg on the slams. I have to remind myself that the outside leg moves, not inside. It's a good work-out. I started Cathe's rotation for this today(decembers rotations) so I will get lots of practice!

Yeah, the slams got me too, and I'm still not always there at the beginning of the first group of triples. Did the workout the second time today!

The first time I only did the three combos. Today I did the whole thing, including the blast challenge! What fun!
