Well, not really, but it has been a really long time. Today was the day. I haven't run since I got pregnant with the first 21 years ago.
This morning I strapped on my running shoes, warmed up a bit and started walking. I walked at a fast pace for about 5 minutes and then eased into a nice running pace. I was listening to Cardio Coach Vol. #2, on my ipod and it was a great motivator. I didn't do the intervals as I didn't want to do too much too soon.
I alternated walking/running, although it was definitely more run than walk. I was pleased with my cardio endurance, but by the end of the 30 minutes my legs felt SO heavy. Also, my arms kept tingling, so I'm guessing I was holding my upper body way too tense.
Anyway, it was a great feeling. How soon can I go out again? If I feel okay tomorrow, is it okay to go out again. I will admit my legs are quite sore - but in a good way}( !
Any other suggestions?
