Lose weight doing stationary bike?

Just able to do stationary bike for right now and was wondering do you lose any fat by doing it? Or does it just mainly shape the legs? Just thought some of you educated ladies could help.

It's a cardio work out so you should definately be able to lose fat...Just make sure your heart rate is in the fat-burning zone!:)
 
Get an interval workout, like Cardio Coach CD's (www.cardiocoach.com ) or one of Mindy Mylrea's stationary biking DVD's (better if you aren't familiar with techniques on the bike). Interval work on the bike will definitely help you lose weight/fat.
