If you are the person who just adopted a toothless Dachsie, I was just wondering how your new friend is doing. If not, I'm going in for a brain transplant.

You've got the right person - no brain transplant required!
My new guy, Charlie, is just awesome and I totally love him to bits. I absolutely cannot believe someone mistreated this sweet pea. He's smart as a whip, extremely affectionate and adapted quickly to our household routines. In spite of what the Rescue man thought, he is housebroken, hasn't had a single accident and tells me when he has to go out. He hasn't quit wagging his tail since he came to live with us. He does have a few teeth but due to the extraction of most of them he did have a bit of breath odor. When I took him to my vet he gave me a prescription to help with the mouth tissue repair and now his breath is actually pleasant. He's still sometimes a little drooly but it's not too bad. He never had any experience playing with toys but now he's having a blast with all the stuffed animals, bones and balls we have here. My dachsie puppy loves having someone to play with but is still a bit jealous so I make sure to have some extra quality time with him.
I'm tempted to adopt another but if I remember right I'd have to get 3 more to catch up to you! (Although I also have a parrot and an iguana)
Anyway, thanks for asking - my dogs are my favorite topic (obviously!)
Too bad you don't love that lil' guy!!;-) He sounds adorable. Sooo glad it's all working out so well for you. Give him a big ole pat on the head from me!
There's plenty more pups that need homes (hint, hint ;-) ) I just know you'd be a good adoptive mom - or maybe Kennedy needs a dog and you could be an adoptive grandma!
I'm so happy for Charlie and for you. He sounds like a wonderful guy who finally has the loving home he deserves. Congratulations and howls of love from the basset chorus!
