that are both weights and cardio...ie: circuit training...I saw cardio & weights but that is with imax2. Not sure if I want that. Any suggestions?
Thanks:)

Hi, get it. C & W/IMAX 2 is awesome and IMAX 2 is my favorite IMAX workout. I usually do the cardio Step premix of C & W.I loved all the songs of C & W except for "Buttercup".If you want weights and cardio in the a workout you have lot of great options: C & W Bootcamp, High step challenge, high step training...

Circuit Max (the toughest), Boot Camp (a total body, stamina challenge), High Step Advanced Training and Hardcore High Step Challenge. Also consider CTX Power Circuit which includes cardio intervals on the step with barbell and dum, bell leg and glute training (a lot of fun with good music).

All of these are excellent circuit workouts, so you could start with these and hold off on the C&W/IMax 2 for the moment while you think about whther you want Imax 2 or not. Imax 2 is my fave of the Imaxes, but it's not everybody's cup of tea.

The High Step workouts are circuit workouts and come on individual DVDs. Another one to consider is Step, Jump, Pump. It comes on the DVD with Step Blast, which is easier intensity-wise than IMAX2, but more choreographically challenging.

You can always get Cardio and Weights on VHS. I did that and when I was ready for IMAX2, I sold the VHS to help pay for the DVD purchase. Cathe's used workouts sell for almost retail.

I like Circuit Max a lot. It's a tough workout, but you can modify easily and the heart rate stays high through out. If you get the DVD it comes with Cardio Kicks which is dancy kick boxing, and not her best, but it's a fun workout. I love the drills.

And keep in mind that something like Kick Punch and Crunch comes with Legs and Glutes and the DVD's offer pre-mixes that offer a great circuit workout. Cathe has a lot of options out there.

And IMax 2, while tough, is a fun workout. I enjoy that one more than most of them.

Cathe's Terminator and HardCore Extreme dvds offer 3 very advanced circuit worktouts, on each dvd. The Terminator dvd compiles segments from workouts in the Intensity Series, and HC Extreme compiles segments from the workouts in the HardCore Series. If you buy the Terminator, you will get almost the entire Cardio & Weights workout, interspersed with segments from the other IS workouts. If you consider yourself an advanced exerciser, then these are the workouts for you.

Hi Kathy! I almost missed your post - sorry about that. I don't blame you for not keeping up with the pregnancy/fit moms forum. If you're not in that particular situation, it's probably not as interesting. The pregnancy has gone great after the setback I had in the first trimester with the placental bleeding (and 9 weeks of bedrest). I think I probably told you all about that at the time? But the day the doctor gave me the all clear to resume my regular activities I got off the couch and started my workouts again. I've managed to stick with them, with modifications as I've gotten bigger. Believe it or not, I did BodyMax step and circuits this morning (6" step, and all low-impact). I didn't think I'd be able to do workouts like that at this stage, but they are surprisingly doable. And the workouts keep me feeling good, that's for sure! I don't have near the aches and pains I had with my first daughter. I can't believe I'm only 5 weeks away from my due date. I don't "feel" that far along.

Thanks for asking about me, Kathy. You're very thoughtful. I apologize to the original poster for hijacking this thread :+

Cheers,
Sandra
