Looking for Advice on MIC

I would like to do MIC, but the last time I did high impact aerobics on the floor, I ended up with a stress fracture in my foot. The video looks like it is a little tough on the feet. Is it? Does anyone know of any precautions besides good shoes and a couple of good rest days per week to keep the feet healthy? I'm only aiming at twice a week for this video. Thanks in advance.

Some ideas...

I'm hoping that I can give you some sound advice, only because I have a sister who works out with me on a daily basis and she has a lot of foot problems.
My sis usually tries to concentrate on the moves, usually opting for a more or less low-impact version of Cathe's moves. When she goes into a high-impact segment, say plyo jumps, etc., Molly jumps gingerly and not very high but she still manages to get her heart rate up.
The other thing that I would suggest is a bone density test. Maybe, just maybe, and I'm not a doctor...you have the onset of osteoporosis or some bone thinning. It's just a thought and I'm not trying to scare you. Many active, young women who also do weight training have this "silent disease." It's worth a shot. Some risk factors include family history, never having babies, small frame, if you are pre-maturely gray and a myriad of other factors, I would definately check it out.
Good luck and I hope I was of some help!

No two pair of shoes are alike!

So I would make sure you choose ones with plenty of cushioning as well as lateral support. Plus, you may look into foot inserts which have helped me in the past.

As for MIC, I have found the floor portion to be very challenging from a stamina standpoint, but most of the moves can be modified. In fact, she does a low, then medium, then high impact section. You might try doing the sections individually at first, adding them all together as you can. I DEFINITELY could not do it more than twice a week and usually do it once, switching weeks with IMax (another tough one).

Have fun, and for a real fun combo, do the first 30 minutes of BodyMax, then the second half (step portion) of MIC - it is a blast, and very intense.

Have fun.
