Looking for a serious non-step cardio

Hi everyone!
I need to change up my cardio to kick myself back into gear. I've been doing TaeBo for about 5 yrs now (and love it), but need a departure. I was running for awhile, but it's just really beat me up.

Can anyone make any recommendations for their favorites that don't use step?

Hi There,

Plyo X is a tough workout that needs no equipment, it is part of the P90X program.

Mindy Mylrea Action packed has 30 minutes of Hi/lo in addition to the step workout that will get you sweating. Or Mindy Kicbutt Bootcamp has a med ball hi/lo section. Read more about these at Fitflix.com

Step and spinning are my favorites so I don't have that many Hi/lo to recommend, but a few come to mind:

Kimberly Spreen Cardio Camp
Christi Taylor Hi/Lo Heaven and Totally Hot Cardio
Hi/Lo Fusion with Rob Glick
Patrick Goudeau Aerobic Dance

And of course, there are a lot of other great kickboxing workouts out there. Have you tried Cathe's at all? KPC is a wonderful workout and there is Kick Max and Cardio Kicks.

What do you think you're interested in doing?

Jo

Hi,

I bought both Cardio Camp and Criss Cross Cardio from CIA, I like Criss Cardio best, it is kickboxing with some plyo intervals, not as intense as Cathe, but sometimes my knees need a break. I have not been doing step or the Imaxes lately because my knees were hurting me. After a week of doing low impact cardio, I feel better, the funny thing is that I have been doing the Slim Series, Slim Training Rotation and it is working better than expected and it is low impact.

Running! Maybe try just a few days a week so that it doesn't beat you up so much. Perhaps a slower pace, maybe even a run/walk program (Galloway).
