In a past <--- thread I'd mentioned that my hubby and I were looking for a dated Christmas ornament that would always remind us of our boy's journey in therapy. I have to give my husband credit for the idea. He'd envisioned a boy nearing the finish line since our son is about to finish his time in OT.
Pennie (PennieAnne), whom I met at the roadtrip with her daughter, volunteered to make it. I got it today in a special box:

And this is what she hand-painted. It came with a note that explained every element in the ornament and what each symbolized.

And after I stopped crying, I managed to show my boy this special, special gift and snap a photo while he checked it out.

So this is it. My Christmas is complete. Thanks so much, Pennie. I don't mean to put you on the spot. Thank you for your very kind gesture. This is something Andrew will keep for the rest of his life.
