Hey there Cathe, :)

I hope you will consider my request for a (mainly) pilates and resistance tubing routine that would emphasize both scapular & hip strength and mobility.

I like this idea, Elsie! I'm thinking this workout would also burn out the core!

You might like Fit N Firm Live from 9/3/15. It is a TB workout that uses dumbbells and a band. Not Pilates but you do get a unique stretch and fire going in the muscles from the creative band work.
 
Deb, Cathe uses a fitness band in Fit N Firm Live. I don't see why you couldn't use tubing instead if you wanted to, though.
I almost always use the band even when Cathe uses tubing. I feel like I can control the resistance better with the band. I've had a hard time finding the perfect tubing, it's either way to easy or way to hard. But I love using them bands, esp the blue and sometimes green.
 
I think I just prefer tubing for some things as it allows me to keep my wrists neutral as well as just have more options/movement for exercises. I also find it sturdier for a lot of standing upper body work where I am achoring it or it's on the bottoms of my sneakers. I like using flat bands over tubing more for core stabilization work and for some pilates movements that micmic the reformer. Bands don't roll off of bare feet like tubing can. Bands are also preferable over tubing for assisted good mornings. I have a lot of bands, loops, tubing around here!! lol.
