Liquid Calcium - Should we drink our vitamins???

In all honesty, I try to get all of my vitamins, nutrients and minerals from natural sources. I don't know much about the liquid and tablets. I imagine that the liquid would be digested easier, though. Wish I could help more. :D

"This statement has not been evaluated by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). "

I think that above statement listed below the manufactured product states it all. I always choose my multivitamin products based on studies done by independent labs who have no vested interests in the company (consumerlabs.com). Because all multivitamins are considered "dietary supplements" they are not held to the same rigorous standards as drugs or medications (they are not tested or regulated by the FDA). They don't even have to even contain the amount of ingredients they list on the label. Consumer Labs tests the vitamins and lets you know whether or not they contain or meet "their" standards (for absorption and active ingredients).

We don't have labs in our homes so I think it is well worth knowing what is in your vitamins and supplements. Heck, one company marketed SAME that didn't even contain ANY active ingredient in it. Some Glucosamine and Chondroitin combinations don't contain any where near what they claim on the labels. Some of your children's vitamins contain lead...scarey..huh. Oh, by the way, I have no connection with the company or website.....I just think it is a very informative and worth the subscription even if you are not a healthcare professional.

I also prefer to get my nutrients from whole foods, but when I take supplements, I prefer powders, (vegan) capsules that contain powders (I open my green tea extract and Vegan joint supplement capsules and add the powdered contents to my morning smoothie), sublingual sprays (B12) or liquids. I believe they would be absorbed more quickly/thoroughly (though I also think they should be taken with food, so that they aren't broken down too quickly, and so the body treats them as part of the food.

It is possible that some nutrients are best taken in pill form because they are otherwise destroyed or neutralized (?) higher up in the digestive tract and are not available for absorption later on where they WOULD be absorbed more efficiently. Anybody with more specifics on that?
