My 10 year old daughter has been diagnosed with acid reflex. It's been causing her a lot of pain and we're eliminating the foods that seem to affect her. These include: citris fruits, dairy products, tomatoes, beans, bell peppers, onions, brocolli, chocolate, spices and fried foods. Some people also have problems with whole grains and we're seeing if those bother her this week.
If anyone here has the same problem, how do you deal with the restrictions? Is it possible to eliminate those foods and still have enough vitamins and fiber in the diet? I dont like to feed my family white flour or sugar but I'm finding it hard to figure out ways to maintain a mostly whole foods diet especially if the whole grains are going to be a problem. Should I be talking to a nutritionist or give her vitamins to make sure that she's not lacking anything?
Sorry for being so long but hopefully I'll get some advice and if I dont, it helped just writing this out and sitting here thinking about it
