Okay, so if you could switch places with someone for a day, who would it be? Actor, world leader, rock star, sports hero, religious leader....?

There are so many people I'd want to change places with for a day, it's hard to choose! Cliche as it sounds, I'd have to pick Cathe, I think. She's pretty mysterious to me so I'd like to know what a day in her life is like--particulary on a day when she's filming one of her workouts!
I'd also love to change places with Rachael Ray or Kelly Ripa. Their lives seem pretty neat!
 
I would switch places with my SO so I could have oodles of time off...snow days...winter break....spring break...whatever break....summer and I wouldn't have to shave anything except my face. Hardy har har :*

Actually, an old Kate Bush song seems apropos:
"If I only could, I'd make a deal with God and get him to swap places. I'd running up that road, be running up that hill with no problem" (or something to that effect)
 
My dog.... he gets to lay around all day, sometimes belly-up in the sun, have his meals prepared and get brushed and walked. He has no decisions to make except which bed to lay on - inside or out - and his biggest concern is when's the next treat. How lovely! ~jasper
 
I would love to be Michelle Kwan for a day, the day she got 6.0's across the board! She is the epitome of grace and elegance and the sport of figure skating just isn't the same without her.
 
Every answer I've read has made me change my own answer. Hey, being one of my cats would be great. Talk about the life of riley. I like Michele's answer though. Being a great athlete at her peak would be exhilerating. And who wouldn't like to be Cathe, if only to have her body for a day. Of course, it would be fun to be Jimmy Buffett for a day. Lots of adoring fans, lots of money, your own plane to fly you to a tropical destination. Can anyone think of a famous, rich, athletic pet? Maybe that's who I'd pick. I think I have to ponder this one a little longer....
 
Rin Tin Tin and Lassie come to mind -- and Lassie is beautiful, too, with that luxurious coat, long tapering snout, and those big soulful eyes. ROTFLOL!
 
Maybe I'll be someone noble some other day, but today I'm thinking that Jake Gyllenhaal's personal assistant might be nice.

That's exactly what I thought. But would 1 day be enough to retract some of the laws he's okayed? Maybe if we took turns. You be him for a day, I'll pick up the next day. How long would it take to fix things?

Or Oprah: she is so influential: I'd have John Robbins and T.Collin Campbell and Brendan Brazier and Joel Fuhrman as my guests.
 
My first thought was Britney Spears so I could put some panties on her! But, I think it'll take more than one day to redeem her from stupidity.

I really can't think of anyone I'd like to be for the day. However, my dh is fond of saying he'd like to come back as me in his next life. :D

The picture of your cat is great! It always brings a smile to my face. My mother used to knit outfits for our cat when I was little. I thought she was crazy. Well, I still do. But, that cat had some major claws and fangs. Poor thing hated to be dressed up as Santa during the holidays. She let everyone in the surrounding neighborhood know it too with her shrieks.
 
One of my cats. Then I could sleep all day and get caught up.:) DH has told me that cats sleep around 18 hours a day but I think that number is exaggerated. Either way, they sure get a LOT more sleep than I do.

I have marinated on this question for quite some time...I guess I wouldn't mind being my Siamese kitty for a day. I don't think I could stand being a famous person for a minute much less a day! :)
 
My hubby. He is in Arizona today...must be nice.

ETA: NO..WAIT..I take it back. He is Arizona with my FIL. Never mind.

Next choice...hmmm...Joan Jett..she is probably rocking out somewhere today.

My boss .. and I would have to give my secretary (me) a HUGE raise .. man does that girl work or what? LOL:7
