I managed to fit in Cathe Live Cardio Play Date #297, 38 minutes, 204 calories, heart rate 127/157, 4,034 steps. I then did Kelly Coffey Body Design yoga and cool down, 16 minutes, 37 calories, 149 steps, heart rate 96/123.
Total time 54 minutes, 241 calories, 4,183 steps. This workout was okay, but not one I would save for a favorite. It got me some decent calories out of my Fitbit and steps.
Thursday I saw my husbands Orthopedic surgeon. He found nothing by X-ray relating to the pain in my knees. He has scheduled me for an MRI to determine the issue.
Following that appointment I had to return to the ER to see what could be done as the second round of Antibiotic they put me on had caused a nasty side affect which could result in an Achilles rupture. While trying to determine what was next they admitted me for 5 days to fight the infection (this has been the story of my life) as they did not yet know what they were fighting. It is day three in the Hospital and they still are not sure what they are fighting. I am on mega antibiotics delivered through an IV for four hours, every four hours. They have to give me meds through the IV for nauseous and stomach cramping. The doctors and nurses are all very caring and super nice. Good news, I am allowed to walk to prevent getting blood clots. This morning I walked 1 mile around the hospital ward pushing my IV, lol. I probably will be released Tuesday if the infection clears completely up. The swelling in my ear been stalling for the last 3 day's. Fingers crossed!!!
Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern. For the live of me I couldn't log on to the hospital internet. I am using hotpot on my phone. I am all set. I will try to catch up on personals later, if not tomorrow. I am not getting much sleep with every 4 hours getting an IV, getting your vital signs taking and taking blood every day. My arm and hand look like a pin cushion.
Today I did Cathe Live Fit Tower Boot Camp #2, 64 minutes, 206 calories, heart rate 106/152 ( I tightened my watch way into it and my heart rate picked up ) 2,070 steps. This used a med band and 10# dumbbells. I then did Coffey Fit Raw Cardio Finisher, 13 minutes, heart rate 122/156, 1,276 steps. Total time was 77 minutes, 274 calories, 3,346 steps.
I got a weight workout in. Problems with school stuff again. I think others had the same problem printing up the lessons. She got it back up and my daughter let me know to I might need to log off and go back on the site. Then I was printing and my printer decided my color ink was damaged and not genuine HP. I was printing black ink!! So, I ordered more ink cartridges that should come from Amazon tomorrow hopefully. Then when printing each page has a split with two of the same lesson on it. I am thinking what a waste of ink. I generally by Yoyo ink which is HP cartridges refilled and have the chip in them. It has worked for me for years, so I don't know what the problem was. I just put in a new black cartridge last week when I was trying to print up the school work. I ended up drawing the math pages myself for writing numbers in. Later this afternoon I was able to print it. I am not having him redo what we already did. I did Cathe Live Push Pull Total Body: Heavy Weight #309 50 minutes(44 actual), 120 calories, heart rate 96/146. 873 steps Lousy calorie burn. I don't have time for anymore. I couldn't check in, I had a rough 2 day's. I had diarrhea for 12 hours long. Once that stopped started getting severe stomach cramping. The worst you can imagine. I was in tears at this point. I never experienced stomach cramping in my life. I couldn't eat or drink anything without cramping up.The gave me pain medications through the IV/oral nothing seemed to helped. Yesterday a team of doctors (ENT's/ Infectious Disease Specialist they brought in Rheumatology specialist) The Rheumatology looked at my ear and said a rare autoimmune disease called Relapsing polychondritis (RP). They took me off the antibiotics (I took for 14 day's didn't do anything anyway) and started me on the meds for RP. The Rheumatology doctors said we will becoming good friends when they left, lol. I will be seeing them regularly once they release me from the hospital. If all goes well with my blood tests and I have no side effects from the meds for RP, I should get released this afternoon. At least, I know what's is causing the swelling in my ear. Not happy I have a rare autoimmune problem. My stomach is feeling a lot better.
Yesterday I got released from the hospital. My ear is still swollen. I am just glad I am off the IV's with antibiotics. They sure took a toll on my stomach. It feels great to be home after 6 day's in the hospital. My body still feels like crap/very tired/beat up. I will allow my body to heal, I will take a week or 2 to recover. I always push myself with workouts, I will not do it this time. I am very scared with the rare diagnosis especially reading up on it. I already have a autoimmune problem with my thyroid and now I have another one with RP. I wonder if my knee swelling has something to do with RP? The doctors are fully aware of my knees swelling too. Next week I have already appointments lined up with a team of doctors (ENT's, infectious disease and Rheumatology) at Walter Reeds. The disease is so rare they all keeping on eye on me. I will be seeing them a lot. I have to follow a diet for RP. Some of the food they want me to eat are high in histamine which I can't or should avoid for my thyroid. It will contact the hospital to see if I can see a dietician can help me figure out what I should eat.
Bad headache and neck pain tonight again. I did get in my workout though after we did most of my grandson's work and his zoom. I left him to write his numbers. I did Coffey Fit Raw Box and Sculpt outdoors, 37 minutes, 168 calories, 3,010 steps, heart rate 113/153. I then did Cathe Live Burn Sets Express legs: Heavy, 40 minutes, 117 calories, 1,041 steps, heart rate 98/140. Total time was 77 minutes, 285 calories, 4,051 steps.
I could have used some extra stretching, but did not manage it. Tomorrow, I am not sure whether I will work out or not. I have an eye field vision test in the afternoon so am having their dad pick them up a little early as I want my husband to be able to drive me home since my eyes will be dilated. So, I want to get my grandson's work all done and caught up. We tried to do the Star reading test with zoom and some other app on Chrome and it did not work. The teacher set up a second appointment time and it still didn't work. W

Belinda, a nutritionist may be able to devise a good plan for you. I do not like having to manipulate my food like that, but it does make a difference. It takes awhile to adjust my taste for things. Like when I finally gave up cream in my coffee and then most of the caffeine. That was pretty much the only dairy I was consuming was cream and sometimes a little butter. I needed to get rid of the saturated fat. Right now I am eating some 0 fat dairy yogurt. Funny, I have got so used to eating cashew yogurt that the dairy doesn't taste good to me. I put some cashew milk in it to make it smoother and taste better. I don't think cashew anything is the best nut choice though. I will be interested on what they give you for your diet. I don't like the almond milk yogurt and avoid soy products. I hope things can be worked out for you and you feel back to normal soon.
Diane -yesterday I was searching online about RP and started to get depressed. I shouldn't read anything online. I need to snap out of it and focus on eating healthy and let my body heal. When I got released they handed my a stack of papers to sign, I didn't see it until the next morning on the last page was a list of things I should be eating for inflammation. What's good for RP isn't good for my thyroid. I have to stay away from high foods with histamine or that will mess with my thyroid. Yesterday after talking to my Rheumatology doctor he did put in a referral for me to see a nutritionist at Walter Reed.I will call first thing this morning. It's just too much for me to figure out and search the internet for both problems. I do eat plant based yogurts almond, cashew (no soy). I do drink black coffee (probably shouldn't) . I also will stay away from red meat and saturated fats, gluten a.s.o. Thank you!! I hope I will get this under control soon and be back to normal.
I did not work out today. I got up a little earlier and dressed to work out as I thought maybe 30 minutes since I knew their dad would bring the children close to time for the zoom at 9 since it was his day to have them. Then I sat down to pray and read my Bible and have a cup of coffee. Then my daughter texts me about the teacher setting up another try through zoom for the star test at 11:15, and I had the zoom coming up and another to do in the afternoon just before heading to my appointment, along with a lot of work to get my grandson through. I just gave up the work out. I will get one in in the morning. Weekend is shopping and cleaning. Oh, and things went a bit smoother today and worked. When the teacher did the whole class zoom, she did roll call and then asked if it was okay if she got my grandson on the star test right then, so we did it. I had been working on getting this set up on my laptop that has Chrome and a touch screen, which I now can use as well as his ipad. So, we got that out of the way and went on to assignments. Even got the homework done. We did his PE/Music this afternoon. It is supposed to be zoom I think, but the had youtube today. So, I did it with him and it was warm up and two children's Zumba classes. He told me it was lame! LOL I guess that was my workout. Fit Bit did pop up and give me a way to go or something.
Belinda, tomatoes and spinach are both off limits for histamine intolerance. On Whole 30 you bananas, citrus fruits, strawberries, kiwi which I know will bother someone with latex allergies as my daughter has to avoid it. Fruits become kind of limited. Funny because I have a sheet with article from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition study for diet change as a art of the solution for Arthritis. It suggests fruits and vegetables with beta-cryptoxanthin like oranges, tangerines, watermelon, peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, and sweet red peppers, pumpkin, squash, corn, carrots, cilantro and pickles.
Suggesting a mix of carotinoids, zeaxanthin, alpha carotene, lycopene, lutein. It suggests a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice per day is associated with the reduced risk of developing inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. Anyway it is a pretty good article. I don't drink orange juice, but I do like the orange vegetables like squash. I do think when we read up on stuff it leads to more worry. I like to feel well informed so I can make my own choices as opposed to just trust and take something that may cause something else. I was taking Schiff Omega 3 (one which had ataxathin of some sort in it) I really should probably take it with the Borage oil as that is what Arthritis association says has worked well together. I may go back to adding that. I feel like I take a plethora of stuff already. It gets expensive.
Diane - I eat a lot of tomatoes, spinach and everything you listed. I had no idea about histamine intolerance in those food. The only food I absolutely can't eat is zucchini and tomato sauces. They just tear up my stomach, I get severe stomach cramping. Everything you listed I eat. I guess, I will have to pay closer attention which ones border me more than others. I know bananas, fermented food, my vitamin border me and most the foods you listed starting to border me. I will look into all the recommendation. I agree, you are a wealth of knowledge!! Like Doreen I tried to eat more veggies and plant based foods.

Thanks on the knowledge. I like researching things and when I look for information I look for reliable sources. You get so many that you will be reading something and then they are trying to sell you something. I read medical studies on things. It is interesting. I have been interested in nutrition for years.
Belinda, I really will be interested in what they tell you. I think you probably would do well to work on gut health as being able to digest your food right, makes a difference on you body healing and mending itself. Sometimes people need to eliminate cruciferous vegetables. I gather you are not eating gluten? Every once in awhile something comes up and gives me terrible stomach cramping and pain and it hurts to even walk. I really have to keep my diet right myself. When I had the colonoscopy about a year ago I was miserable for awhile. Antibiotics can wreak havoc on your digestive system too. I planned ahead then and made sure I had L glutamine on hand and a histamine degrading probiotic that I took and watched my diet and it cleared up. I did this when I had to take the prednisone and antibiotic for the sinus infection I had as well.
I walked a total of 2 miles today, walked in the morning and evening.
Diane - I am interested what they come up with too. You probably right about working on my gut health. I stopped eating gluten. You and I have the same stomach issues. I talked to my doctor about probiotics. He wants me to eat a yogurt instead of taking lots of supplements. Not sure why? I will ask him on Wednesday. The antibiotics really messed up my stomach. I try to research things too, getting so many different info on the same subject. Thank you for all your advice! Great job on the CL. When did you sign up for her Live?
oday I did Cathe Live #282 Cardio Core, 41 minutes, heart rate 121/140, 188 calories, 3,182 steps. I went out and finished shopping for the week, other than what I will order from Amazon. I spent the rest of the afternoon setting up Firetv stick for our main television so that we can use the OU app that we pay for yearly without having to use HDMI to watch it on tv. They said last year they were going to set up OU sports app on Roku, but still have not. Anyway they played Missouri yesterday and we decided to sign up for another year of streaming. They discounted it 20 dollars from what we paid yesterday. Hopefully this week goes smoothly. It is already 7 and I need to go over my grandsons work to see what we are doing tomorrow and submit the numbers.
Belinda, I don't take probiotics consistently. I drink a bottle of Kombucha tea each day or the GT Alive Guaysana tumeric most days which is another fermented type tea but has vinegar in it along with probiotics. I have not had a problem with these, but not sure you would want to use it. I use Forager Project Cashewgurt most of the time. I just picked up another carton today. I don't eat a huge portion though, I use 1/4 to 1/3 cup on top of my nut butter, gluten free oat, protein powder mix topped with berries and a few Guittard extra dark chocolate chips. They seem to be lower fat and a few gives plenty of flavor, plus they are no GMO. I hsve used the non dairy Enjoy life dark chocolate chips as well. Sugar free ones give me stomach distress. Diet sweeteners are out. I use protein powder with stevia. I know someone that drank a lot of Kevita Kombucha, she loved it and drank more than one bottle a day. It gave her really bad GI problems. She had a lot of health issues though and was vegetarian for the most part. You can get too much of a good thing. I am careful about large doses of supplements. I follow recommended amounts of supplements a bit on the light side of what Arthritisfoundation.org says. I read the label recommendations as well. If I drink the Alive with tumeric like I did today and I had a Suja tumeric immunity shot so I only took 1 tumeric capsule and not 3.
