Liann! (Sorry for another thread w/your name in it...)

Ali, just ask for a wiener dog for Christmas and be done with it! ;):D

Oh, if only!!! I wish I could--I really do. But I wouldn't a responsible dog owner if I got one now. I'm just not home enough. I'm gone from 7:30am-5:30pm every day (and on Thursdays I have school at night and don't get home until 10:30!), plus I work too far from home to be able to run home and let a dog out at lunch time. My precious kitty cats will have to do for now. I do love those guys. :)

The taking care of them part is definitely harder than with cats. We are lucky in that my DH works so close to home that he can go home at lunch and let them out. They are also old enough now that they can hold it, but we don't like to make them do that. When Dakota was a puppy, I actually brought him to my previous job with me every day. He slept on my lap under the desk while I worked. My boss was a big dog lover too and would often drop his dog off for me to "babysit" at the office too. I miss having Dakota at the office...

OMG! I can only dream of being able to do that! How wonderful! I tell ya, work would be a MUCH better place if we could bring our animals. :) (Well, maybe not much better for people with allergies...;))

Oh, and Miss Catherine--I'm sorry I didn't comment on your babies earlier! They are just darling! I swear, these pictures actually make my heart smile!

I somehow missed the pics of Bisquit and Muffie as well..sorry Catherine. Muffie's cute little face reminds me of the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. Does Bisquit's tongue stick out like that all of the time?

Over the summer during one of my walks I was greeted by two yorkie puppies on the sidewalk. The were so tiny and cute. Their owner was doing yard work and called them back into the yard but they turned back around and started following me. I finally had to pick them up and carry them to their porch. I didn't mind the puppy kisses :D

Chastity, that's too funny because I've always thought the same thing about Muffie!! And yes Bisquit's little tongue is always out like that :p

I was just in the library with DD and found the cutest picture book: Superdog, Heart of a Hero, By Caralyn and Mark Buehner. The pictures are soooo adorable, and this seems the perfect place to post a sample that I scanned in:

Liann, I know you don't have kids, but I think you NEED this book! Maybe your nieces/nephews will appreciate it? Too cute!

edit: Here's the Amazon link, apparently the paperback has a different title. You can see a couple more of the pictures in Amazon's sample pages. http://www.amazon.com/Dex-Heart-Her...=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1223492106&sr=1-4

All those babies are just tooo cute. Love the little wrinklies on the legs. Thanks for posting all the pictures, I love to live vicariously through other pet owners! I'd have a ranch full of pets if I could.

Jodi...thanks for posting this, I love it :) My best friend's daughter is turning 4 next month and she is in love with my "baby doggies." They have a big Black Lab so she thinks my boys are babies. She'll love this book :)

My youngest also thinks that our dog is a "baby" because he is small (Jack Russell mix). But he's probably older than she is!

Jodi..your dog is a twin to one of my aunts dogs..I love his ears :)

ETA: I feel like a complete dummy for asking b/c I know it's been asked a trillion times but how do you post your pics so that they show up in your posts? I looked under FAQ to try and figure it out and tested it as well and all I come up with is a big red X :( I always end up having a link you have to click on to my picturetrail album.

Above the Reply box there is a little picture that looks like this:
insertimage.gif
. Click it and it will ask for the web address where your picture is. Fill it in and click okay, and it should insert it into your post.

Jodi, I tried doing that and kept getting the red X, I'm obviously doing something wrong, thanks for the help though :)
