Good Morning Ladies!

Today was GS Legs and Pilates. I may have DOMS in the legs tomorrow!}(
Off to finish cleaning out my room at school. I am stalling on this. Don't know why!
Did you guys see the July rotation?

Deanie--I sent an e-mail to you last night, but think I messed up. Just delete it.

Marcy--Did you workout yesterday?

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Good Morning!!

Got a late start for me today.
Today was HIIT level 11 on the treadmill, PS abs from back and bi, and stretchmax #3. I really like the HIIT, but sometimes I am hesitant to start. Once I start I'm okay though. The abs were okay, not great. I think this week I will do PS abs, and next week sub.

Today DS8 is getting his apperatus on from the ortho (frazzle face!!) He is not thrilled!LOL!!

I saw the July rotation and really like it, I may do it next month. I will be ready for an endurance rotation after 4 weeks of 4DS and then 4 weeks of PS. I was thinking of doing 4 days cardio and 2 days full body.

Gin~ got your email and replied. Nice house:) Guess you are sadder than you realized about moving on from your school..... I'm sure you made the right choice.

Marcy~ did you get a workout in yesterday? How were the interviews. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you:)

Have a great day
Deanie

Good Afternoon Ladies!

It would up being a rest day for me yesterday. Interview went well, testing went well. Recruiter gave me some good tips on revising my resume. Met the VP and he said I had an impressive resume, and there should be some interviews to send me out on but I've heard it all before. I have another agency interview today.

Today I did GS BS&B and the ball segement from CIA 2804 Athletic Step Jam with Sharon Money Twombly.

GS Back:
2 pullups!
Dbbl Row Reverse Grip: 3 sets at 23# (all reps)
1 Arm Row: 33# 11/12 reps Set 1; 33# 10/12 reps Set 2
Barbell Pullover: 2 sets @ 40#
Used heavy band for all band work
Shoulders:
Dbbl Overhead Press: All sets at 16#
Set 1: 10/10 reps; set 2: 8/10 reps; set 3: 6/10 reps
Dbbl Lateral Raise: 15# all reps for both sets (up 2#)
Dbbl Rear Fly: 12# all reps, both sets (up 2#)
Biceps:
Barbell Curls: 35# both sets all reps
Dbbl Curls (partial reps): 12# first set (up 2#); 10# second set (all reps)
Concentration Curls: Set 1: 15#, 8/10 reps plus 3 bonus
Set 2: 15# 8/8 reps
Curl Up/Wrist Turn Down: 12# (all reps)
Hammer Curls: 13# all reps including bonus reps
Wrist Curls: 1st set 12# (up 2#); 2nd set: 10# (only 7 reps)

First time doing ball workout from Athletic Step Jam. It was 22 minute. Kind of a cardio/toning workout. A little tough on the shoulders with the ball overhead since I just did a shoulder workout. Some pushups. Some plyo work with ball in between legs (lots of inner thigh work - which I really need!)

Deanie - I am also ready for some endurance work after 4DS and GS. I never really liked PS abs either. Didn't do much for me.

Gin - I'm off to go look at the July rotation. Did you like it?

Marcy

Hi Again!

Well, my basement is now overflowing with all the stuff I brought home from school. Don't know if I will ever teach again, but hated to leave it all!

Deanie--I'll have to remember to switch PS abs for another ab routine in 2 weeks.
What kind of orthodontia aparatus does ds have? Does it hurt?
I want you to purchase a Cardio Coach routine, so I can hear how you like it!!;-)

Marcy--Great job with the GS BSB. You and Deanie lift so much heavier than I ever will. You guys put me to shame! Did you look at the July rotation? Endurance, circuit and several older workouts. I did print it just in case.

Gin:)

Gin~ LOL! I was hoping you would buy cardio coach and give me an update!!**ha ha** money is tight, so no buying for me for a while!! My sons aparatus is called a winding wizard. I will have to google it to see if its on the internet or that's just what the ortho calls it. My sons palate needs to be widened, right now its narrow and high and not enough room for all his teeth.

Marcy~WTG with the workout!!}( I was thinking of doing either Cathes july rotation next month or my own rotation from something I read in Ask Cathe about leaning out, where Cathe says to do 4 days cardio and 2 full body.
Cathe's reply to leaning out:
You really have to eat clean in addition to
working out. I don't know what you are currently doing
workout wise, but do 3 to 4 weekly cardio workouts (20 to 60
minutes based on your fitness level) and strength train two
times per week (non-consecutively and hitting every major
muscle group). That will be a nice foundation along with
eating clean to really get those muscle to show their faces
:)

the rotation I thought about doing after reading her reply:
Day 1: cardio- HIIT or interval run on treadmill 45 min.
Day 2: muscle endurance workout
Day 3: cardio- Imax of choice (low max, 1,2, or 3)
Day 4; muscle endurance workout
Day 5: cardio of choice- 60 min
Day 6: cardio- 4DS KB/BC or CTX kickbox/ 10-10-10 or CK or KM bootcamp or KPC/KM cardio only
Day 7: off
for the muscle endurance workouts I would do the same one both times each week, switching weekly: PH (week one), ME (week 2), SS & PP (week 3), MIS (week 4)

Deanie

Thanks, Gin. I'm finally feeling stronger again now that I'm a little more consistent with my workouts.

I thought you had another teaching position in the fall. Did something happen since I moved?

Deanie - I agree, great article. I took notes. My problem always seems to be getting enough protein in every day. I think Tony Horton always mentioned Creatine in P90X. I don't take any supplements; just a One A Day multivitamin.

July's rotation looks interesting for an endurance rotation. Of course, I'm glad she included yoga in it.
