Good Morning Girlies!!:)

Today was MM! I really like this whole body workout! I did 4 chinups and 4 neg. pullups first. I upped my upper body weights by 2# over what Cathe used, since its the only upper body weight work this week. I also did the dips with a 35#bb! I am going to get the book The new rules of lifting for women this weekend. Not sure if I am going to try it or not. Not sure if I want to commit to 6 months with STS coming out (my guess is Aug) But I may try it for a few months if I like it.

Gin~ I get the WW shakes from a friend of mine, she picks them up for me. You can only get them at the meetings. And yes, they are good and filling!:9 My rest day this week is Sunday, since we will be in Jersey. How was yoga today with your back?

***Platemates: I got 2 pair (4 total) of hexagon shaped 1.25# plate mates. I recommend the 2 pair, you can use them both on your weights. You also have the option to use one on each side or two, and I'd rather have that option than wish I'd gotten the second pair. Hope that makes sense.

Menu::::
preworkout: 2 egg whites from hard boiled egg
bfast: 1.5c. Kashi go lean cereal and an orange
snack: 1/2 a Cliff builders protein bar
lunch: breakstone cottage cheese doubles, and veggies with low cal dressing (prepackaged!) and banana
snack: not sure if hummus and pita or WW shake with fruit
dinner: last night had a morningstar farms mushroom lovers burger and steamed broccli,so tonight I am going to try for a boca burger and spinach and tomatoe salad.

we have another ball game tonight, so dinner will be a throw together meal again! My DS11 pitched last night and struck out 2 boys with his pitching!!:):) His team won again, their record is 6-0-1!! So Proud!!

Okay, I think I've written enough now!LOL!!

Good Morning!

Today was BB's yoga Level 3. Yoga is the most difficult exercise I do concerning my back with all of the bending and twisting.x( I go back to the chiro this morning before "work day" at school. We clean up our rooms and the auxiliary has a lunch for all the teachers.:9

Deanie--Thank you again for the info on the PlateMates. I wrote it all down for DH and I promise not to ask you again!:)
WTG with increase in weights with MM and adding the chin ups and pullups! My pecs and biceps are a little sore from yesterday.
Yeah to your ds's pitching and to their winning record!! I'll bet that was fun to watch! My ds24 was a pitcher also from the age of 8 to 18. Lots of fun memories!:)

Hi Ladies!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!!:) I just got my computer hooked up yesterday. I've really missed you guys. I haven't done many workouts in almost a month. I managed to do a Namaste yoga, pilates with Sharon Mann (both from Fit TV). I just started doing workouts this week. Tuesday I did CIA 2803 Tap Less, Sweat More with Deidre Morris. That was a really tough step workout - it was my first real hour workout in a month. It was really tough and complicated without much breakdown (which I usually love) but I was having a lot of trouble breathing so I probably wound up only doing about half. I took a rest day yesterday and today I did Tracey Staehle's Parts workout - Upper Body. I had a pretty good workout. I had to go down to 3# for the shoulders though (and I still felt it).

We moved in about a week and a half ago. The movers just came this Sunday. We're only about halfway unpacked. I went on two job interviews. The first one didn't work out but I'm still waiting for an answer on the second one. The job market's really tight down here right now.

I'm just going to do my own thing for the rest of May and hopefully get back in shape. I'll see about doing a rotation with you guys for June. My eating was atrocious when we were on the road but it's getting back to normal now that I'm eating at home again.

Today's meals:

Breakfast - Kashi Healthy Heart cereal with whole milk and strawberries
Mid-Morning - Veggie wrap at the mall
Lunch - chicken wrap from Quiznos
Snack - Yogurt
Dinner - Salad and Stouffer's Chicken Parmigiana

We've been shopping like crazy for all kinds of things for the house. The shopping down here is unbelievable. The weather's been pretty good except there was a tornado warning but it didn't hit us.

Deanie - MM is my favorite total body workout too. Sounds like you had a great one today. Congrats on your DS's accomplishments.

Gin - Hope your back gets better soon. Did you get the job?

I'm going to try and go back and catch up from the last 3 weeks.

It's great to be back. Can't wait to chat with you again.

Marcy~ It was so good to hear from you! Its sounds like things are moving right along for you. I hope the job interview pans out. how is the workout room coming, or are you just concentrating on unpacking now. I love buying things for the house!!!:) I bet the prices of things in Ga. are so much better than NY.

Gin~ I don't care if you ask me again about the plate mates!:) Are you going to get them? What did the chiro. have to say?

I was thinking of doing the 4DS next month, using the premixes:
Mon: Chest & Back/LIS abs
Tue: HIS/LIS cardio only
Wed: Bi& Tri / shoulders
Thurs: HIIT/stretch of choice
Fri: Kickbox/Boot Camp cardio/ KB abs
Sat: Legs only premix/segment 3 of stretch Max
Sun: OFF
doing this for 3 weeks and a week of the pyramids/PH on the 4th week.

Or March 08 or May 08, because I'd also like to use PS. Any thoughts?

I did not follow my menu, I forgot my bar at home:eek: x( !! So I had a banana for snack, and then at lunch I was so hungry, I had my planned lunch AND I had some challah (okay, really a whole huge roll!!!!x( x( :9 ) So I will have a WW milkshake (made with water) for snack and stick to the dinner plan!

Hey Deanie!

The workout room is kind of empty (which is good!) I put all my DVDs on DH's 2 DVD stands (and they all fit!) I'll take pictures soon and send them to you guys so you can see my full collection. I blew up my stability ball this morning. My TV is on a TV stand which holds my DVD/VCR player and holds extra VHS tapes. I have a wood shelving unit for things like my dumbbells, gloves, bands, etc. and something to lean on to record my workouts. I would eventually like to get a TV to hang on the wall since my TV is caddycornered right now and it's easier to look at it straight on when working out. I gave my nephew my barbell and plates since I didn't want to pay too much to move them so I have to get new ones. I'll probably be doing endurance workouts for a little while until I get a job and can spend some money.

Prices here are cheaper than NY, especially gas and food, although we're doing a lot more driving so I don't know how much we're saving. DH will probably start looking for a job next week.

I still have a lot more unpacking to do but we've done about half. Thank goodness tomorrow is garbage day so we can empty out the house of all the boxes and wrapping paper.

May '08 sounds like it might work for me for June but I'd also like to see what Cathe comes up with for June.

I have another interview Tuesday morning with the Headmaster. This has been going on for so long now. I think the K teacher called me about the postion in late March!
I went to the chiropractor again this morning. She did some more "adjustments", showed me some stretches to do at home, told me to buy a body pillow to sleep with and hooked my back up to some vibrating-type machine (I couldn't see it). She thinks she can help solve my back issues, but not sure how quickly. I go back in 2 weeks.

Deanie--You are sweet to not mind my constant questions about the PlateMates!:p
4ds Premixes sound great. I still feel as if I have not done the 4ds enough. May 08 sounds good too with PS and GS.
Lunch at school--chicken salad, veggies, chicken nuggets and brownies!:9 }(

Gin~ Brownies????! Were they on the menu??? LOL:)

I think I am leaning toward the 4DS more myself.....
On closer inspection of May 08, the workouts are over an hour and I just don't look forward to such long workouts.

Since I'm easing back into things, 4DS might not be a bad idea and I really haven't done any of the premixes yet unless you count the weights first premixes.

Gin - Good luck with the job. They certainly are taking their time.

Deanie--Actually, I thought the chicken nuggets were more damaging to my diet than the brownie! The school's auxiliary provided an appreciation lunch for the teachers and I certainly didn't want to be rude and not eat!!;-) I'll have to admit though, it was an odd combo of things. I NEVER eat chicken nuggets, but these were pretty good.
