Good Morning Gals

Quick post- I am jumping on the elliptical in a moment! Yes, you heard me, the elliptical!! I haven't been on it for at least a year:eek:!!

Gin~ saw some cute pics of you at the road trip! You look great!

Marcy~ Good luck with the job stuff!

Tracee~ SO nice to hear from you!!!

Have a great day!

Hi again ladies. I realized that I posted on your Tuesday thread even though it was Wednesday. It was hard to find the post with the new title and some of the new poster names. Speaking of which, Pepper is my puppy's name so that's what I chose for my new user name. I'm still hoping they will re-instate my old one but for now I have to go with the new one. Oh and she is an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). She seems smart but she requires a lot of exercise.

Marcy - I think you were just starting the move when I last checked in so I'm glad to hear that you're in your new state and I hope all is well. Good luck with the job hunt. It sounds like your getting interviews so that is a good thing. I can't even find any that I would want to apply for around here. Not that I'm seriously looking but I like to keep my eyes open for any new opportunities.

Deanie - I'll have to go back a few threads and read about your son's baseball season. We just finished ours this week and I'm kind of sad although I am looking forward to being at home more so I can catch up on things. Football practice starts next week for my oldest so he isn't getting too much time to relax.

Gin - How cool that you got to do two road trips so close together. Did you see a lot of the same people? I'll have to take some time and look at any pictures that have been posted.

Since working out at home has become more difficult, I'm actually thinking about joining a gym that is close to my work. They are running a special right now and I think I might try it. I've never joined a gym before so it will be interesting to see if it motivates me to go there and get some of this fat off my stomach. Yuck! :)

Well, that's all from me for now.

Good Morning Ladies!

I did David Swenson's Primary Series this morning for a third week in a row. Today wasn't as good as last week (also didn't get quite as warm) but it was still good.

Deanie - Hope you have a good workout on the elliptical.

Tracee - Glad to see you're posting again. I've never heard of an Australian Cattle Dog. Sounds like it's going to grow to be big. I actually went for a week to a gym near me (Bodyplex) and I really liked it. I did spinning (which I never did before and was really fun) and the classes were really good (except for step which was a little boring). I find being in a class really keeps me motivated. I also took a kickboxing class (at Knuckle Up) which was kickboxing with boxing gloves and a bag. It was very intense. I kept up pretty well but kickboxing feels completely different when you have a point of contact. I hope the gym works out for you.

Gin - I'm going to try and find pics of you on the RT. Glad to hear you had no problem keeping up (which I never thought you would have to begin with).

Have a great day!

Good Morning Ladies!

I did SB and SM3 this morning. Don't know what was wrong with me, but after only 20 minl of SB, I had to take a break for a few min and then start again. I felt dizzy. Maybe I have not been drinking enough water.

Deanie~Do you have an elliptical machine at your house? I guess I didn't know that. How was it? Good to mix things up, right? Cyndi took a ton of RT pics! What I noticed right away is that I need to lose some weight! YIKES! I didn't like looking at those pics myself.:(

Tracee~So good to have you join us again. Pepper is a cute dog name! I'll bet your kids love her! Would you take classes at the gym or use the machines or both? There were about 1/3 of the same people at this year's RT and I remembered most of them, and then had fun meeting new people!

Marcy~I plan to do DS yoga on Sat. I think that is the same one that I have. What are you doing in August?

Have a great day ladies!

Hi Again!

Gin - I think you probably have DS Short Forms. I usually do the 45 min. practice on that. I've been doing his Primary Series. It's a little more advanced but they both have headstand.

I thought you looked great in the RT pics!

I checked out the demo in Nutrition. Looks pretty good but I'm sure it's not going to have all the foods. But I did like where you check on the report card and can get suggestions to give you all As. I haven't started actually doing my own meal plan yet.

I don't know what I'm doing in August yet. I want to check out Cathe's August rotation. I planned on donig endurance in August. I really liked Patrick's Hard Work Conditioning. You should try to get it from Netflix. I also have Mindy Mylrea's All Systems Go which is a body bar workout but I need to get a 9# bodybar. I only have the 15# bar from my barbell and I think that's going to be too much. I was also thinking of doing some circuits since I'd like to get more cardio in this month and do 1 day of yoga per week. What you are planning on?

How are your headaches lately? Is the pullup bar helping your back? Done any chinups/pullups lately?

Marcy

Good Afternoon

Quickly popping in:)

Gin~ Get Out!!:) You look great on the road trip pictures!!!! Yes, I have an elliptical at home

Marcy~ Looks like the July 08 rotation is right up your alley for what you want.

Tracee~ Glad to hear from you. Your dog sounds cute! I'm happy the boys don't play football, I know that season starts in August!

Have a good one!

Gin - Right now I plan to use the gym for some of the cardio machines, like the treadmill and stair climber. I'm kind of intimidated by the weight machines in gyms so I'll have to work up to those. I'm so used to following Cathe's instructions with free weights that I feel like I wouldn't know what to do on my own. ;)

Yes, the kids love the dog and I'm sure I'll enjoy her more when she's older but right now she is a lot of work. She's actually a small to medium sized breed. Pepper should only be aout 30lbs and no taller than my knees. They are bred for herding cattle on a farm so you know they can run all day. Yikes.

I've been a little busy at work so I haven't had time to search around the new site and see all the new features.

Thanks for welcoming me back. I'll try to keep up with the check ins even though I'm not doing Cathe's right now.

Hi Again!

Marcy~ You are right. I don't have the DS yoga you are talking about. Is the Nutrition site the one you have to $ for?? I'll have to check out Patrick's dvd on NetFlix. Is he the one on FitTV? The movie, Waitress came in the mail while I was gone. Still need to watch that one. My headaches have been much better, thank you. I am taking a lot of different supplements and cut out artificial sweetners, gluten and dairy, so not sure which one is helping. My back still bothers me but chiro said that would take a while. I took a break from seeing her. Too $$!:p Thanks for reminding me to go hang from my chin up bar. No attempt at pull ups or chins lately. I also want to see what Cathe posts for Aug. rotation.

Deanie~I want to come play at your house! You have a regular gym there!!:D

Tracee~I joined a gym when I was injured and enjoyed the cardio machines and a few of the classes. I didn't use the weight machines. Really don't know enough about them! We have a Welsh Corgi. She is also a herding dog. She likes to try to herd us and tell us what to do!! She is a combo of sweet and bossy!! She is 9, but still runs, acts and looks like a puppy!

Marcy~ I just checked on NetFlix and they have Patrick's Kitchen Sink Conditioning and others by him,but not the one you named. Have you done this one?

Thanks.
