Good Morning Gals:)

Today was Imax 2 and stretch max #1. I ran out of time and only did the standing stretches in SM#1. Imax 2 was fun, and so much easier than Imax 3! Blasts 7 & 9 were still tough though}(

Gin~ How was tri and bi? Have you talked to the K teacher to find out about the job?

Marcy~ How was yoga today? I'm betting you love the plyo leg work on the blog:7

forgot to add my menu:
snack before workout: handful of dried dates:9
bfast: steal cut oats w/brown sugar and spray butter and an orange
snack: lara bar
lunch: red lentil and veg. soup and challah roll
snack: not sure-- either WW milkshake or hummus and pita
dinner: boca burger with cheese and green beans and a fruit
last night ended up having a challah roll instead of wheat breadx( Man, that bread is good!!!:9 I really have to try and cut down, summer is coming!:+
 
Good Morning Ladies!

Today I ran and then did S&H Tris, Bis and Abs. I used the same weights as Cathe, but when she went down after 2 sets of French Press, I stayed at 20# and when she went down with bicep curls, I stayed with 15#.
I am missing Bible Study today:-(but have several errands and a mammogram appt.
DH came home from Sports Authority last night with an 8# med ball for me!

Deanie--IMAX2 is fun, isn't it? Do you then sing the Pina Colada song all day? We are going on a Field Trip tomorrow with school to a kid concert AND we are rehearsng for our Spring Music Program. Between hearing all of those songs, I have them all running through my head all day!x(
I think I will call the K teacher tonight if I still haven't heard from the school. I hate to bother her, but would like to know if the job has been filled!
How did the furniture stripping go?
Are you planning to do 4ds BC and Core Max Friday? I am tomorrow.

Marcy--Are you getting excited about moving now? Do you watch Am. Idol also? My favs last night were Jason (loved his song and he's a Texan!)and David A.

Good Morning Ladies (almost afternoon!)

I did Amy Bento's In the Ring this morning. It's kickboxing with some hi lo and medicine ball intervals. It's about 77 mins. but I ran out of time and didn't get to do Combos 3 and 4 combined with the medicine ball. It was a good workout. I burned 380 calories. My HR only got up to 80%. I'm sure it will be more once I get more familiar with the choreography. Amy breaks things down little to none. This one had a bit of a learning curve for me which was surprising because I usually don't have any problems with complex choreo. It wasn't really complex but she just kind of throws things at you. I guess it would have been better if I previewed but I usually don't have time to preview (what with all the other TV shows on that I have to watch!) I really felt the medicine ball intervals in my core.

Nice title today. I'd sure like to have a pina colada right now!

Deanie - You don't sound like you have to cut back on anything. Yes, I do love the plyo work in Meso #3. This might be the first set of leg workouts of Cathe's where I'll actually do the whole workout as is.

Gin - Great work going heavier than Cathe! Hope your mammo app't goes well. I wind up singing the Pina Colada song all day and also Buttercup. I think someone sang it on American Idol and I told my DH it's on my workout. It seems like every song that I hear either is on one of my workouts or there's a line dance to it. Yes, I watched American Idol. I really liked Jason and the version he did of Over the Rainbow. Very unique. He doesn't have the greatest voice but it definitely is distinct. I also liked Kristi Lee and David Archuleta. Brooke was really good too. It thought it was a perfect song for her.

Hope the K position isn't filled yet.

Breakfast - Kashi Vive cereal (Toasted Graham and Vanilla) - delicious! 12 grams of fiber. Also 1/2 c whole milk
Snack - Fiber One Bar
Lunch - Lean Cuisine - Lemon Garlic Shrimp with fettucine (the pasta not the cream sauce) and broccoli
Snack - Yogurt, apricots and almonds
Dinner - didn't take anything out of the freezer so it's pot luck - I'll probably have a tuna sandwich or peppermill turkey with muenster cheese, tomato and spinach.

I don't think I'm doing too bad today with the food.

Hi Again!

I just got a call from the woman in the Human Resources dept. at the school where I sent my application. She said she just received it yesterday. I sent it a week ago!!x( She also said that the Head of the Lower School told her not to send her any more applications because she has too many already. I quickly started trying to sell myself to this poor woman over the phone and also told her that it was the K teacher herself that called to tell me about the position. I'm going to call the K teacher tonight, but maybe it just wasn't meant to be.:-(

It is funny how certain songs stick in your mind more than others. I always hear Buttercup and Pina Colada all day,too. Your dinner sounds yummy to me. I'd rather eat a sandwich, than a hot meal!:9

Gin~ I can't believe it!!!! I would definately call the k teacher and let her know. Especially because she asked you to send the resume in the first place!!! Please keep us posted! Yes, I plan on doing 4DS BC and coremax on Fri. I am looking forward to it, you know how I love 4DS! I hope your mammogram goes well. and your DH is a sweetie!! to bring you such a perfect gift!!;-)

Marcy~ I love Vive cereal! Yummy! As soon as I found it, the store stopped carrying it!:( Yes, the blog leg pictures have me a shakin' in my boots!! ha ha! I think the weights and weighted vest looked better to me, but I will try the plyo-- they all seem to be able to jump so high!!:eek:

I haven't started stripping the furnature yet, my DH will move it to the garage on Fri. and I will start then. I wanted to start yesterday, but it was to cold to work in the garage with the doors open.

Gin - Sorry to hear about the K position situation. Hopefully the teacher can put in a good word for you.

Glad you liked my dinner suggestions.

Peppered Scallops:

2 tablespoons butter
2 garlic cloves
3 scallions
2 lbs. sea scallops
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1/2 cup orange juice

Heat butter. Add garlic and scallions; saute for 2 mins.; add scallops and saute for 3 mins.; add peppers and saute for 3 mins.; add orange juice. Cook for 2 mins. or until scallions are cooked through. Serves 6

11g carbs
5g fat (2g sat. fat)
1g fiber

I served it over pasta. It was delicious!

House news - Things look like they're on target for closing at end of April.
