Good Afternoon Ladies!
I did Deb Dobbins' Spirit of Vinyasa Flow today. Really good practice (I did the 2nd practice on the DVD - 71 mins. filmed outside). This is done via voiceover. It has no shoulderstand, arm balances or core work but it was a great practice nonetheless. I felt really open in my hips after this. She does quite a few balancing poses - half moon, warrior 3, big toe pose to the front, royal dancer's pose. She also does headstand in this one with a few leg variations. Managed to do headstand for a few seconds.
After reading about why we should be doing interval cardio on OD (there were a bunch of articles by Rachel Cosgrove explaining why steady state is a waste of time), I've decided to do a whole new rotation. I hope this works for me. I really haven't had any fat loss and guess what - I've been doing all steady state stuff lately (basically because it's my favorite kind of cardio) but I need to start working more efficiently so here's what I came up with:
Mon - KBs and intervals (either KM Blasts or IMAX blasts)
Tuesday - Yoga
Wednesday - KBS and intervals
Thursday - Yoga
Friday - KBs and intervals
and of course, I'll still be dancing twice a week. I'll actually be doing more of everything - strength, cardio and yoga and will hopefully get stronger and leaner in the process.
Gin - Anything you normally watch, you can get a season pass for and then you won't have to worry about recording it again. Anytime you do record something, it might give you suggestions as to other things you might like to record. Once you get started, it's not hard to fill it up quickly. We have two recorders, one in the bedroom and one in the family room. The bedroom one is always about 85% full, the one downstairs about half full.
I always get Buttercup in my head too after doing C&W. I hope your back gets better soon. Have you done any stretch DVDs for it?
Deanie - I'm so jealous you have your DVD already

Truly, I'm real happy for you. I hope Providence comes soon. I'm thinking of either getting Providence or Lauren Brook's DVD (also, it's cheaper). totalfitnessdvds has it for 34.99 and she has a 10off code for VFers and I think it's free shipping for anything over $19.
Maybe you could PM Vee and she could send it to you?
Have a great day!
Marcy
