Good Morning gals

Today was Providence. Great workout as always.
I used my 30#kb for the first round, swings and my 25#kb for everything else. Except the seated press! Even though last time I did this with the 25er, today I had to drop to the 20#:mad: I did make it thru 2 min. of snatches:D:) doing 4 sets of 5 on each side!!!:D:):D a personal best. I wrapped my rings/finger in gauze today and it worked great!

Marcy~ I like Rodney Yee's yoga too. great job on the pullups! I should start throwing them in every once in a while, but I'm not motivated yet:eek: thanks for all the kb info! What did you do today? I am thinking of getting another 20#kb for the double kb work. I think starting lighter for doubles would be a good idea. What do you think? Did you get your 25#kb yet?

Good Afternoon!

I did Lisa Rinna's Dance Body Beautiful again. This time I did all the other dances on the DVD - Super Rumba, Fat Free Hustle, Paso Doble Matador Burn and Rock Out Dancer's Abs. The only one that got my heart rate really up there was when I did the Quick Step on Wednesday. The rock out dancer's abs was 2 mins. of moving your hips to a cha-cha rhythm which I definitely felt in my core. I guess this is what Core Rhythms is about. It was a fun DVD but not one for doing real work (with the exception of the quick step).

I also did Lauren Brooks' 12 min. Fat Blasting Workout which was good. It consisted of:

Front Squats and Swings - am able to go deeper in my squats now.
Pushups and Squat Thrusts
Deadlifts and Mountain Climbers - Definitely could've used more weight on deadlifts. I actually went and got my other 20#er to redo them and still didn't feel much. I've always deadlifted 40# with the barbell and I usually have to do them on a step to feel something.
Clean, Squat & Press
1-arm rows
Hi-Pull, Catch & Squat, Alternating Cleans, Alternating Swings and Overhead Swings - I did the overhead swings although not completely overhead. I don't know how good this exercise is but I definitely feel myself bracing my core everytime I do it.

There was only 30 secs. rest between each exercise and I got through it all without taking extra rests. I guess my endurance is improving.

Deanie - Glad you found a solution to your ring problem. I just use my lifting gloves from Target. I didn't get my 25# yet. I hate to spend any more money right now but I really need it. The seated press is tough since you don't get any help from your legs. I think lighter for doubles would be a good idea.

Gin - What'd you do today? Did you read the blog I posted?

Okay, i've thought all day about it and I'm going to buy the gym boss and the 20#kb!!:):p I still have some money from the gift card and the kettlebell is on sale, so I am going for it! But I don't think I can buy anything after this:eek: my DH may not be happy with me if I do!!;)

Marcy~ I like that short workout. The dance one sounds fun, but yeah, not a tough workout. I hear you about spending the extra money, I just thought if I get these last two things I should be okay for a while:confused::eek:!!

Taking a rest day today. I ordered the gymboss and the 20#kb from Dicks. All my gift card money is gone, so I won't be buying anything else for a while.:(

Good Morning Girls!

Just finished my 7 mile training run. And man, was it cold. My fingers are still frozen as I type this! Wind chill was 24 with 24 mph winds!:eek: Well, that is cold in Texas, anyway. My sweet running friend, whose DH had surgery before Christmas was back to running with me again!:)
I ran yesterday and then did PS Legs after school. I would say my legs need a rest now.:p

Deanie~Gym boss, huh? I would say that with all the fitness equipment that the 3 of us have we could open up a gym!

Marcy~ Thank you for the link to that article. I did read it. I think that my age and metabolism have a lot to do with it. I never know what the best workout formula is for me.
