Cathlete
Hi All,
Well I signed up for the Cathe Nutrition Program. I did this for a month when she first launched it and it was good, so since I'm really trying to watch my calories and pay attention to my food I decided that I'd do it for a month again and this time really use it every day. Yesturday i put the food in as I ate it and wow even though what I ate was good it was still like 1800 calories, so I just finished loading in what I would like to eat today and boy does that make a difference....I was able to keep the day to about 1400 calories. Today is a leg day for me, so I'm off to do Butts & Gutts...I love this workout it really is one of my favorite Cathe workouts, but I hate how long it is....It's only 5:15AM and I'm already stressing about getting as much of it in before 6:30 when I MUST be in the shower.....I'm was considering splitting it....do any of you do that, split a workout between AM & PM? How does that seem to work for everyone.

Have a great day and again THANK you all so much for the words of encouragment and the advice the past few days....I feel so much better sharing this stuff with my cyber friends than my face to face friends....they just don't seem to get it or the think I worry about it to much. Needless to say none of them feel the way I do about fitness and so they just can't relate...If they new I posted stuff here they would think I was totally crazy!!!

Good Morning Y'All!!

I've got to get Shaun's sound clip of his CPR scream for my alarm clock - that would really get me going ;) CPR is done and it was a great workout. I'm really improving in all these workouts and wouldn't you know it, next week is recovery week and then all the workouts change  of course, that is the challenge.

Elena - Great job on the food tracking. I'm sure someone will chime in with splitting workouts. I personally cannot get back at the end of the day for a workout. Pre-children I used to do 2 workouts a day - morning and late afternoon, but it was always 2 separate workouts, not dividing one and I used to run. Amazing how much time I had then :D

Lauren - Thanks for the CCB review :)

I'm off to shower - have a great day everyone!!

hi ladies. i don't know what my problem is but i have not been in the mood to do insanity at all. got up this morning at 6 and decided to do a spin workout. i haven't done a spinning workout in over 2 years and it TOTALLY kicked my a**! My legs are rubber. Hopefully this block i'm having towards insanity will go away soon. I do have exercise ADD so i often need to constantly do different workouts. Hope everyone is doing well.

Today was PC and CA. Wow, I still suck at CA, but I'm going to give myself ^^^5's on PC. ;)

Elena,
Sounds like you're on track, I had Cathe's Nutrition Program for 3 months and I really liked it. Now that I have a GWF I use that instead. There are things I liked about Cathe's better though.

Jennifer, A Shaun T clip, what a great idea. :D

kariev,
Rotations are not for everyone. For me it helps to have something planned that I've committed to do, otherwise I sit and wonder what I should do and then pick the same standards and don't push myself. If you only do Insanity when you feel like it, you'll still be fine. I'm sure you'll wake up and want to do it soon enough. kariev, Do an Insanity workout... Do an Insanity workout Perhaps a subliminal message won't hurt either. :p

Good Morning Everyone!

Today was PC. I really like the variety in this workout but I do miss the breaks. I added on CTX Shoulders.

Elena, good plan on Cathe's nutrition. I had it for a while but it was hard to use when I ate out. I use Daily Plate/Livestrong now. I have not been too successful splitting my workouts because I usually end up at work too late and then I am tired and hungry.
Jennifer, I love the Shaun T clip to wake up to. I don't think DH would like it.
Kariev, I am a rotation girl at heart because I workout in the morning and I don't want to figure out what to do. But some people like being spontaneous. Give yourself a couple of days and I am bet you will want to do insanity again.
Dawn, I haven't tried CA yet but I might give it a try tonight.
Brenda, I was thinking of doing 4DS and the recovery workout during the recovery week.
Becky, sorry about DD's dry sockets and your hip pain. Hope PT helps.
Sandra, wow you did a lot on your rest day. CPR may be easy after your rest.

thanks guys. i think that b/c i'm having some shoulder problems i havent wanted to do all those pushups in insanity so its been keeping me away. the last thing i want is to end up injured so i have been just listening to my body. today my shoulder is a little twingy and i'm guessing its from doing back/triceps yesterday.

kariev~good plan to listen to your body! :) I am cutting myself some slack on the rotation until the girls get back into school. Maybe you just need to pick a date to start and go from there?

elena~excellent idea to go back to the nutrition program! :) it's amazing how much I eat when I[m not paying attention!
~ i often split up my workouts, but I am in a lucky place in my life where i have the luxury of time. i love 2 a days! ;)

trixie~thanks for the warm wishes! we are both doing better today!

jennifer~what a great idea for an alarm clock! that would surely get your attention in the morning!

ffte~ good for you! i give you ^5s for both! :D

Well, the back is much better today...the hip moderately better, but I ran anyway....9.31 miles! It was hot and humid! Then I went with my workout buddies and their kids to the pool and played all afternoon! It was a good mental health day for me!

Have a good evening everyone!

Becky

Becky: What A Woman!! 9+ miles in heat and humidity... hats off to you

Elena: Great idea to get the nutririon program. I haven't used it, but I have found that saying about nutrition being 80% and exercise 20% of results really is true. Whenever I conscientiously make good food/portion choices, my body feels, looks and performs better.
It's funny, my face to face friends (even my workout buddies) don't understand the cyber support and friendships. Then again, none of them understand why I work out hard and love love love the high intensity of Cathe workouts.

Lauren: Much as I love that scream, I think it might get my heart racing too much from a deep sleep. My cell phone is my alarm clock and I have found I really have to change the wakeup song about once a month because even if I love a particular song, after a month of 4:45AM wakeup calls I start to dread/hate the tune. Great idea for a download, I'm sure someone over at BeachBody would appreciate the suggestion.

Kariev: Listen to your body, insanity is hard enough without getting/ or deepening an injury.

Well today was Plyometric Intervals and it is becoming easier each time I do it. While doing this workout I was thinking I should add some tuck jumps to get my heart rate right up there. Then it came time for the basketball drills and ski abs and I remembered why I shouldn't be maxing out on my heart rate while going through those pushups!! Those darn ski and in/out abs!!!! What a challenge at the end of the workout. I got through it all but boy were my arms protesting. I think they were still feeling the effects of my weight workout yesterday. Just a couple more days until rest week, then MONTH 2 begins....
